- Beyblade, known in Japan as ‘explosive shoot Beyblade’, is a Japanese
manga series written and illustrated by Takao Aoki to promote sales of
spinning tops called Beyblades originally serialized in Shogakukan's
CoroCoro Comic from September 1999 to July 2004. The concept of
Beyblades originates from BeiGoma which is a small but lightly pointed shaped
toy of approximately three centimeters in diameter. It is spun by
wrapping a thin 60-centimeter cord around it then throwing it while releasing
the cord to spin it onto a surface such as matt spread across at the top of a
barrel. The concept for the game was based on Battling Tops, a board game
developed by Ideal Toy Company in Japan in 1968. In this video, I’ll be
discussing all about Beyblade, from its beginning to its latest version. So

The original Beyblade was actually made by Takara at the time, before Takara and Tomy merged, being rivals at the time as well
They merged in March 1st, 2006

Man Beyblade was everywhere in the 2000s
(6/7 years old) 2001 I still remember how children in second grade brought their Blades to challenge one another. in my classroom I was considered as the arena architecture/builder we had some cardboard boxes from arts class cut them an and build a multi staged arena with all kinds of obstacles. We had like almost 15 Blades on it LOL it was chaos but man it was FUN AHH those where the days :-( .
in 3rd, 4th and even 5th grade (around 2005/6) it still of course was around but I saw how slowly it died down and in 6th grade puberty hits and it went from childhood toy to just childish, of course children in lower classes those years still played with Blades but we moved on. a bit sad but life goes on 🙂
Today I would not mind to buy one just for nostalgia sake (I'm 28 years old ☹)

Still have my Hasbro Storm Pegasus intact, although the face bolt sticker has aged quite a bit and the fusion wheel has oxidized to the point of being quite gray in color

You want to know something crazy? In Korea there is a fake Beyblade anime using completely different characters but the Burst art style, and copied the Beyblades but gave them major changes so it’s not a complete rip off. I forgot what it’s called because there are many fake Beyblade products across Asia. But only one has an anime.

What sucks is that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t find the manga of the Metal Saga. Only the first few chapters were ever released. Meanwhile I see screenshots of the manga but in other languages like German or French…..so my guess was that Metal Fight Beyblade wasn’t popular enough to have its manga released in English or there were licensing issues???😢😢😢😢

I wanted to ask yall if i should watch the new Beyblade Burst saga. Im a big fan of Beyblade and as a kid I grew up watching Metal saga. I recently re warched it and so many memorys came up. Just so nostalgic! When Beyblade Burst came out in 2016/17 I began watching it but I quit fast. I dont know if it's worth to watch from what I've heard and seen so far.
Watch it if it brings back those nostalgic memories of beyblade for you. Life is stressful so may as well add some colorful anime to the mix especially one as long lasting as this

I was late to Beyblade, I was too much in to Digimon and Pokemon to pay too much attention. Had no interest in the toys but came to the later seasons (burst) on Netflix and ripped like a beyblade through the season in a few nights lol.

It's so sad how much Beyblade Burst has fallen off lately. Beyblade Burst and Burst Evolution are and always will be the best incarnation of the series by far, and no one can tell me otherwise.
Beyblade probably isn't as popular because kids are too busy on their iPads than hanging out and playing with actual physical toys

Yeah Valt was the best beyblade burst protagonist. The others tried being different, but failed every time. Honestly they should have pulled a Pokemon adventures and made each of the protagonist have goals not related to each other
