I downloaded the zip file on my thumbdrive, extracted it to the c: drive into a folder named Lab. The guide mentions that I should have VPN and INET vms.. this is weird. I posted the issue on windows community forum but no replies yet

Intune is a cloud based extension of Endpoint. It allows for controlling of other devices aside from Windows OS, like mobile devices. It works in addition with Endpoint and not as a replacement.

If you have experience doing those things you can apply for those jobs. Otherwise, you can start working entry level IT, study/learn about all of those topics, then move up in the same company to get that job.

for the MECM download, i noticed it didn't install the HYD-INET1 or the HYD-VPN1, is that a separate install link?
It should be the same install unless Microsoft changed the computer lab setup.
