So that depends on how you define fast. Light is the fastest as in reaction time (by a good bit imo), but marss is the fastest in terms of utilizing mobility to oppress
@@theimpersonator7086 kola is more of a rushed player. rushes the kills, the approaches, the neutral light is fast paced but he can slow down when necessary and adapt. thing that kola struggles to do when his opponent has a gameplan against kola's rushness
@@freezeframeplease yeah, Kola seems to want the tempo to be this specific way 24/7. Allow the constant pressure to get to you and kill you fast because he’s roy. He probably also really really enjoys playing that way too lol Light likes to control the tempo no matter what, whether he has to slow it down or not, he simply wants to be the one in charge of it
11:30 You know it's a worthy opponent when Light does that. I'm so happy that Bassmasge made it in. Although he lost, he played some really good games and it was a nice opportunity for him to improve. Great addition to Summit over all.
bassmage has incredible potential, but he's so used to his gameplan to work on elite smashers that kinda gets stucked on it when it comes to face pro players but sometimes bassmage do breah his own gameplan to adapt, like with gluto
Imo the matchup is actually kinda good for puff, just cuz all puff needs is one opening and he gets his ass kicked, but yeah my guy bass is playing insane. I think puff has just enough to be viable and id like to see bassmage thrive
“Oh just throw him offstage” everyone says this and ignores how broken fox on stage is, he gets to kill with so much shit so easily in this mu too, bair looks even more broken than usual, landing is scary, puff’s playing catch up the whole game
@@ohcomeon1111 he's only outmatched range-wise onstage by Puff's b-air, which is not particularly fast and is consistently punishable by a character as fast as Light's Fox. The hardest part of this matchup for Puff is reading and working around Fox's out of shield options in neutral, which BassMage does almost perfectly.
Light is a great competitor and just seems like a chill and down to earth guy while still having a competitive edge. I like seeing the dude do well. Keep it up 👍
On paper I know this match up is only slightly in foxes favor because of puff combos and offstage, but I always felt ultimate fox shreds ultimate puff. I feel like it's my favorite match up as a fox main.
@@Mr.Hampter5 he can beat maister just has to play on point but maister has been playing super on point as well so I think we will have a really good set in our hands
Light's games are always a joy to watch -- just feel like he sometimes does poorly against uncommon matchups and overall isn't consistent enough to be top 5 in the world yet for me. Ofc he could make me eat my words if he takes summit -- though my point would still stand in that most of these matchups are against top players, where he generally knows the character matchups (maybe not puff). Hate to see him lose against players we all know he is better than.
@@pjbutter8284 I meant played well at that particular moment. He got his combo going and did not mess up. How do you think he did overall tho. It is hard for me to judge with this character. I know he has full faith in puff but it seems like he should not be able to do have the stuff he does with her so I dont know if he is playing really well and still is limited by what she can do
commentators are right, Light may not be the best player in the world but I think hes def the fastest. hes super fun to watch too
Between Kola or Light it is hard to say who plays faster tbh. Light probably has the best reaction time among top players for sure

5:50 this whole string after getting pressured so hard was so fuckin good. Bassmage just flipped the script there

Just like the game 5 with Chag. BassedWizard proving he deserves to be here

5:52 Highlight of the set
Honestly ridiculously impressive for BassMage to even take a game here with this MU, especially with Light playing well enough to 3-0 MKLeo

This is the most melee MU in the game and its only fitting that Light is apart of it.
nope. Try Ness vs Roy
Fox vs pichu
Falco vs Falcon and many others
5:53 he missed a grab at 0% and just straight up died for it. Good lord

Even in brawl
*64 MU

5:10 for the zero-to-death
We’ve finally seen darktweek, but I don’t think the world is ready for the terrors of treblemage
Ballerass set. Bassmage is super fun to watch.
Love them popping off for bass on last stock game 2
Light is my guy, but seeing a jigglypuff win is would be hype. Jigglypuff is so slow and has such little limbs. How does he win any games lol.
Puff's air speed is incredible and gives the character more effective range than you'd think from the hitboxes in a vacuum.
They buffer her jab and forward throw in the last patch, which helped a TON
Im looking forward to light vs spargo.
Light is my favorite Fox, he's very cool
Fox feels waaayyy faster than jiggly in this mu. I olay as Fox its really wierd how it is the case.

He is a "really good player" according to Light himself, so your "not deserved" comment holds no water.
