Light vs Sparg0 is quickly becoming one of my favorite player matchups. The matches are always so close, with both players destroying each other. Reminds me of Fatality vs Skyjay Light, Sparg0, and Proto have all been super impressive this tournament
@@thrillainthemanilla1409 Remember this is Summit where you can get away with some losses before actual bracket thanks to the group and gauntlet format. Tweek and MkLeo BOTH lost two sets in the group stage and still made winners side of the bracket by winning gauntlet matches. Sparg0, on the other hand, 3-0'd tea, 3-0'd Elegant, 3-1'd Lavish in group stage and didn't even have to play gauntlet stage to determine his seeding. So yes, generally you're right if someone is in winners they are much more likely to win the whole thing but I think it helps to know that in this context Sparg0 absolutely wiped the floor with everyone in every phase of the tournament.
@@samueltattum5947 Glad you broke this down for @ThrillaintheManilla, because he's trying to be snarky when Sparg0 played out of this world, better than everyone in this tourney cleanly on this day. Give the credit where it's due, especially at an event like this
@@samueltattum5947 They also had noticeably less group play on this summit than prior summits. Usually they play around 12 sets as seen with Summit 3 and summit 2. But yeah sure he beat those 3 players that he’s clearly better than and then started a regular tournament run through winners

Light without a doubt in my mind is the best player in the US, I cannot wait to see what they all bring to the table.
Elegant was also in rare form
I could watch an entire hour of these two playing. Love them both
Sparg0 didnt even lose a SINGLE set, not even one almost solo cloud. This kid is a monster
That’s how tournaments usually work lol. The guy that goes in on winners side doesn’t lose sets and usually wins

Possibly one of the most exciting winners finals game in smash history!
When these guys play, Smash feels like a completely different game, like if I'm playing at 0.5x and these players are at 2x
Doesn't help that both Fox and Cloud are speedy as hell

These 2 players are of the most electrifying in the game hands down! What an exciting set 👏

Without Mkleo. This is Sparg0 time to shine. Time for him to go to the very top of the mountain.
Leo is still here.. hes not going anywhere
It’s gonna take more than 1 tournament for sparg0 to be #1

Such a hype set.

Spargo is humble. Light is.. Great performance from both players

Why no one talking about spargos hitstun edge cancelling? It seemed 100 percent intentionnal.
