Damn! I’m here after seeing him in NASCAR and what a driver he truly is! And what a track! So unfortunate to hear of it’s demise
There's more. Even the promotional vid with Russell Ingall, SVG studies him and goes quicker. This is in a field with old mini vans! SVG sideways, smiling like a kid

Oran Park and Pukekohe are both gone while we are left with terrible races at Albert Park
@@jamescrump8482its been a motor racing track since the 1960s.
As a local of pukekohe, the horse facilities were barely ever used and the largest horse events held there drew smaller crowds than even the smallest local motorsport events.
I’ve never heard of Shane Van Gisbergen I’m sorry to say, until the nascar Chicago Street race and after seeing this video no wonder he crushed the NASCAR field in Chicago.

He would've copped one of those stupid penalties if he sent waters into the wall, that's why he backed out. It's about time waters held his ground
My favourite racing series along with MotoGP and the BTCC. Right now SVG is right up there with Max Verstappen, Fabio Quartararo and very few else. 18 wins in a season from 29 races and counting is ridiculous and without a clear car advantage. Pleasure to watch.
18 wins in best team (teams still matter even in spec series) against grid full of scrubs and washed up drivers, without Whincup or McLaughlin theres no real competition. Not to take anything away from SVG hes great driver but his record is inflated by crap rivals.

I want just a pure onboard of these from SVG and Waters POV of it. This was such an amazing battle
I took a hot lap around in this track for my 18th from my dad on v8 supercar replica Holden, I was really nervous but at the same I had time I had fun. Thank you so much pukekehoe for the many years of v8 supercar racing I am really going to miss coming to this venue

It had to be the Gizz winning here. Just a poetic ending. I can't believe Pukekohe is shutting though, that's wrong on every level. Such a great track and famous with us petrolheads on the opposite side of the planet. Thanks for the memories of great races past - and those barely so. You went out with a bang!

Unbelievable sporting theater, absolute fairytale suff. SVG doing the impossible to the delight of over a hundred thousand kiwi fans over the Weekend. I was screaming at SVG like I was when Barrett scored the World Cup winning try in 2015. This is why we watch sport, for these moments that you just can't script. Good on you Shane!!

ok so SVG recklessly bumps into him coming into a corner and commentator manages to praise his actions?
Not sure about that svg’s car clearly stepped out through the corner then got traction which coincided with the contact and then svg road the grass.Reckless would have pulled left hand down and put waters into the opposing fence.clearly skilled driving from both drivers
