shane van gisbergen taunting austin hill with his burnout celebration alone is enough to warrant him a full time cup ride imo lol
There's a photo floating around with Austin hill giving him the finger while svg is full send drift behind him...svg for the win of many nascar fans!
While drifting... That wasn't just a burnout lol

Motor racing is mostly about the car, unless a driver is more than a second quicker than those in the better cars.
Wasn't they even after cota? Now Austin will have to race him the same again.
@@kg0173 No, payback is doubled🤣
We need more likable drivers like SVG his personality and attitude just shines out of him.
His fans are trash and toxic
All drivers (almost) that come from Australia and New Zealand (SVG is a Kiwi) are like that (with varying amounts of talent of course). Another Kiwi is Scotty Mac in Indy Car and many more. most of them had great attitudes and a real sporting spirit about motorsport.
Oscar Piastri, Daniel Ricciardo and Mark Webber are other great examples
SVG racing IQ is very high. He's got half a regular season on ovals with respectable results. His second time around will show improvement without a doubt. His desire and work ethic will make him a contender on any type of track.
I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a win on an oval before the season is over. Maybe not so much on a short track (yet), but definitely on a mile-and-a-half or superspeedway.
SVG's burnout beside hill is gonna be a moment that goes in the books for sure.
really? Its pretty normal for him (and all drivers who win) back here in Australia and New Zealand. lol.
@@JasonBlack66 check the back story between Hill and SVG youll understand
@@JasonBlack66 there was nothing normal about the response at Sonoma, about the only time I seen SVG do anything close to that sort of gamesmanship was when he parked next to Scottie Mac and blocked his door at Pukekohe. When did anyone flip SVG off and he stalked him around drifting, don't try and downplay the moment because it was unique and epic
SVG is Austin Hill father
SVG is having a respectable first full season in a stock car
2 wins
9 top 15s
10th in non playoffs points
Thats pretty respectable in my opinion
Not even halfway through yet and that's not a bad rookie haul for a full season
I love SVG and can't wait to see what he does the rest of his career in America, but I think it's pretty silly to overreact and say he's ready for Cup because he won two Xfinity road races. Allmendinger is the perfect comparison, he was tearing it up on road courses but still struggled to hang in Cup. And I'm sorry Eric but since when does finishing in the top 20 on ovals in Xfinity mean you're ready to go full-time Cup racing?
Just to clarify, if it were up to me, I'd put him in Cup immediately. Which I know may sound hypocritical but hear me out- Alonso wasn't forced to run Indy Lights before he ran the 500, Montoya didn't have to prove himself in the Busch series before jumping to Cup. Superstars from other series kind of get a free pass, and I like that. If anything, running a full series in Xfinity just makes SVG look humble. So stop trying to justify it with his Xfinity stats, that's silly, No regular driver with those stats would have anyone looking at them to go to cup.
Not good enough for cup yet
@@ayrton42 Agreed, but that's kind of how the media hypers have devolved. If someone in the cup series wins just one race all the media morons start clickety-clacking out stores about how this driver must now be considered the front runner for the championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@TheSaturnV Harrison Burton had 10 top 10s in his first 10 starts his rookie Xfinity season, and look how he's doing. SVG has ONE normal oval top 10 so far. Crazy to say his stats prove he's cup ready.
The more I look at the SVG and Austin Hill incident. The more it looks like Austin Hill just kept turning in as if SVG wasnt there.
My take is hat he wanted to disable Shane's left wheel and force him out completely. He nearly did it too with a lot of close to wheel damage!!
There was also an argument between Ryan Sieg and Parker Retzlaff on pit road after the race. Xfinity guys were all ready to murder each other lol
Something people aren't thinking of with svg is that the cup car is much closer to the v8 supercar than the Xfinity car is. So in theory he'd probably be better on ovals in cup than in Xfinity since he's more likely to understand the car
No. Just no.
@@Marko137-em8nx "in theory"
We'll see, and if he doesn't it will be entertaining to watch the Van Cheeseburger fanbois try to explain it away. SVG is highly likeable, his fans are not.
@@TheSaturnV why im a fan and not dissing anyone , he has room for improvement, but so do 25 other cup racers

Well said Eric, regarding SVG. As a fellow Kiwi, I know SVG is a prodigious motor racing talent. Whatever he races, he does well. Even his drifting and rally experiences will be helpful in NASCAR. He is used to racing 'on the edge'. His burnout going past Austin Hill was priceless 😆. Remember, we watch all NASCAR series races here in New Zealand free!! All because of SVG.

Doing burn outs around Hill was the chef's kiss to pushing him offline to take the win.

SVG taunting Hill with his track long victory burnout was legendary. And I would love to see Shane in Cup full-time with Trackhouse next year, likely bring his former V8 Supercars number 97 with him as he's done in Xfinity
He's ready, you guys havent realised just how good his racecraft is, he looks after his ride and will run wherever he needs to during the race without ego but watch out because he often wins races in the last 5 laps
They all still have no idea what he’s capable of.
He mastered those Dunlops and knew when to push to extract the most out of the tyre. We can see some of that racecraft starting to come through. Next year is going to be awesome
Winning at the slowest average speed is the moto of all great drivers and bike racers.
Biggest reason why I’m sold on SVG especially over Zane Smith is that he brings the car home. Phoenix for example, a huge crash happens at the front of the field SVG and Hailey Deegan (both rookies running around 20th) have to go through the wreck. Deegan never lifts and has a ton of damage while Van Gisbergen saw the wreck coming before it happened and slowed down. He had some damage (because of Deegan never lifting) but it was minimal and came home 6th. Zane on the other hand has ran into crashes that every other driver avoided while the wrecking car was in the top 10 and he was in the 30s. Yes he had gotten better, but try to see if he can run next season with Kaulig in cup or Xfinity. That’s probably Trackhouses best bet
Give you a tip about svg, he's a thinking mans driver, he's from downunder, you aint seen the downunder mongrel come out, feel sorry for the 1st driver to ruff him to much, just saying,
Shane has so much awareness of what’s happening around him that he’s really able to work through and get past situations that most drivers can’t. And it has really shown in his results. Only DNF so far was because of a blown engine. And that’s through like three plate races as a rookie who’s never raced on ovals. Come on that’s just not fair. Lol
Im not sold
I have that clip of SVG bumping Austin Hill saved and watch when im having a bad day
I laughed my butt off when SVG lit the tires up on top of Austin Hill!! No one deserves it more. Austin Hill has no problem moving/crashing anyone he can't pass cleanly but cries, whines, or wants to fight anyone that barely touches him during a pass. Also I wish you would do a video talking more in depth about Ty Gibb's temper tantrum that destroyed his own car and nearly took his "teammate" out of the race. I used quotations because I don't think Ty see anyone as his teammate.
If you notice though he made 0 attempts to try and fight the kiwi or say anything unbecoming of him. He's at least smart enough to know not to fight or argue with a former rugby player lolol
Big Country will be in the 21 forever it's the only competitive ride that'll put up with him,his attitude and funding won't let him progress any further. With drivers like Love(talent) Sammy Smith (funding), RCR will not look at Hill first. Yes, I'm saying a lot and might get punched, but oh well.
Maybe Hill deserved it, but it was an unsportsmanlike and petty move.

I'm located in Germany so I could be wrong. But I have the feeling the most discussed and popular Trackhouse pilot is not in the Cup, he is in Xfinity. That could help him to get the 3rd seat in a Trackhouse car

I doubt you've ever heard of SVG, or ever seen him race.... He's different...
G'day from Oz! SVG also said in the 30 min interview after the race that the cup series car are closer to the v8 supercars and GT cars he's raced. That means he's getting better in (xfinity) cars that aren't what he's used too and as can be seen, is adapting pretty quickly. With his experience in racing generally and his adaptability, the next 6 months for him are icing on the cake in terms of nascar learning opportunity. Then, as a reward, he gets to do all the tracks again in a cup car that works with & suits him... Watch this space... Great to see him enjoying his racing again. Which is another reason to watch this space. He's happy. Once the penny drops on the ovals, wow.

SVG is going where Hill will NEVER get too, the cup series.
I think Gizzy getting his career started on Mountain bikes, then quadbikes, then drifting to start cars, then Rally driving, then 3 generations of the V8 Supercar Championship learning how to play with all the "toys" (in-car setup changes) and then won his first ever cup race in a format longer than he's used to, in rain, no in car toys, different driving styles AND not being American, I think we can put him in the class of Kyle Larson. I also hope the name Gizzy sticks with his America move as we still call him that here in Australia
SVG is the superstar the sport needs... We need a hero and we got one! :D

I'll be honest: Zane is overrated. He'll be like 20th-25th everywhere. SVG on the other hand will be 25th-30th on ovals but expected to get top 5s and wins at road courses. With the winner-take-all system, if trackhouse wants all 3 cars in the playoffs, they have a much better shot with SVG punching a ticket via a win than Zane on wins or points. I'd swap Keselowski and Byron personally. I think you've kept Byron in the top 5 for too long without much recent performance to back it up. He's not done anything since his Martinsville win outside of the Coke 600. Keselowski's results have put him in the realm of dark horse championship threat, and I think he deserves more credit than what anyone is giving him. Other than that, great rankings
Always great analysis
For some who feel SVG isnt ready for cup. There isn't much choice for Trackhouse it'd be between SVG, Zane, and Connor Z. for the the 3rd car. Zane isn't showing any improvements this year in cup, Connor is to young still to be in cup( i believe) and SVG is the oldest of the 3 drivers at 35. He is in his prime and he may not be amazing at ovals but should easily be in contention on road courses which is more than can be said about Zane right now. Chandler Smith won't go to Trackhouse because he chose to go back to JGR in Xfinity this season and wait for one of their cup cars to open up. If they had more time they may hold him back another year but at his age and being in his prime they want him in cup now.
I think Ross needs to be ahead of bowman, if you look at the last 4 races Ross and Chase Elliot have been beside each other, and he put so many points on bowman this week. Going into this week they were tied in playoff points. 🍉🏁

Conor Zilisch is only 17 years old and over the years he will settle down. When Ty Gibbs started to race inXfinity he could care less who wrecked but he has got a lot better.
Shane is successful at everything he drives,HES A KIWI That's why
svg is talented and maybe ok skipping the x series, as it looks like he adapts easily. But the cup is a different animal.I think there's a few drivers with more seat time that id like to see get a shot first.
fair call , though as a counter lots have had 60-8-100 cup races and never won, Nascar must be the hardest to win cause the rules say ,"if ya cant beat him WRECK him
It hurts seeing Truex 6th, but the bad luck has hurt his runs.😥
I've only been watching NASCAR since the start of the Next-Gen era and the term "Road Course Ringer" for drivers seemed to be meaningless. Usually referring to mid-drivers who were better at road courses than ovals but still couldn't compete with the usual top 10s. Plus most drivers coming from outside NASCAR who were supposed to be "Road Course Ringers" usually ended up in the 20s or 30s!
That was until SVG came along. I think he is the first driver I've seen who may actually be a Road Course Ringer in the Next-Gen era.
IMO, I don't think he's ready for cup racing just yet. I say give him 1-2 more years in Xfinity for him to visit each track more, then he will be ready for Cup
Your take on fox is spot on. For example, drivers and fans have been complaining for years about the poor quality cartoonish illustrations of the drivers yet they keep using them...nobody at fox is listening or cares about nascar
Probably because they dished out a bunch of money to the artist that did those. Same reason they keep recycling that completely worn out 90's guitar intro-outro "music."

SVG is something special. He’s got the talent and the personality to be a superstar, and possibly the biggest star in racing. Of course he’s getting a cup car and he absolutely should. I think 25th place on ovals is underestimating how fast Shane learns and how hard he works. By the mid point of 2025 I expect SVG to be running with and passing Chastain at times. It won’t take him long to learn ovals. He’a already improved tremendously and I think he will be as good as anyone sooner than later.
Facts He Doesn't Know Who SVG Is 😅
Spotted Boris in Turn 11… I can assure you I called the 81’s LATE dive bomb 😂
SVG HAS BEEN READY.
Larson would've had a race worth lead if not for missing the 600 over second place. Let that sink in.
You should do power rankings for xfinity and trucks to would be cool
i was going to get my dad on a race car. Can you tell me if that car is 100% chance that it makes the field?
I agree 100% 👌🏻
Down under SVG gets a lot of comments from ex racers/commentators about his racing IQ, he has it 10 fold over his rivals, his oval races have been done at a reserved rate for hes still learning.... now he's in the play offs I intrigued to see if he lets it all out, take more risks and goes after it.
Don't sleep on Logano, ever since the all-star race he's had speed.
Yea just a really bad pit strategy .. should have copied SVG stay out for points and watch out for the wreckers insane how many crash cup car considering it's easier to drive than XFINITY car ..
oh fair call, but boy that race put me in a deep sleep, cant get me head around those tiny Oval races, seems like a waste of a good race car, that needs to let the ponies loose
1.)Larson - (Original: 3)
2.)Hamlin - (Original: 2)
3.)Byron - (Original: 1)
4.)Reddick - (Original: 7)
5.)Truex - (Original: 6)

10.)Chastain - (Original: 12)
Out of the groove is the best ❤
That’s a pretty good Top 10. Which Chase qualified drivers are outside your Top 10?
Bowman over Blaney is a crazy take in my opinion, hell even Joey Logano might have more of a case then Bowman right now, otherwise solid power rankings, only other change I’d make is swapping Brad and Byron’s spots. Brads consistency can’t be understated
Put SVG in cup! He'll be in the playoffs for sure!
Those over infinity drivers are toodlers, svg is the black leather jacket with a Marlboro and a harley. Put him in a good cup car and he will set the worid on fire.
I pretty much agree. Mayb 1 more yr in Xfinity for SVG just to learn the tracks better, and whip Austin Hills ass for a championship. #5 all the way to the end. It wouldve been nice for Chip Ganassi for have Larsons back a few yrs ago....but I guess it worked out better for Larson n ended up with a powerhouse team
You're Memphis Bass Pro Pyramid video is making the rounds on European reaction channels. You'll soon be a celeb in Europe 😄
Love the hat!
austin cindric hit everything including the local free buffet.
Cheeeweeeweee WOOOOOOO! Let's go SVG
SVG would also kick arse in the cup, in fact, anything he gets behind the wheel of (look him up), extremely interesting person motorsport-wise, a pure motorsport mega champion). But... He's gotta pay his due so he'll do a season in the lower categories while probably making a few wild card appearances to prep him for 2025 where I am sure he will go fulltime Cup cars, but knowing SVG, he may want to run in both categories lol.
💯
Kyle Busch and Christopher bell both have a 1.5 avg finish at Iowa and both had good speed at Dover so look for them to shine at Iowa
