FYI while larger is pretty neat on Yomi, it has a hidden niche synergy with them specifically as their Dai Onis are vulnerable to enlarged gelatinous cubes afaik. Wouldn't be surprised if a savvy player anticipated that
Astral+Earth is an amazing communion combo, it gives earthpower, and all the protection buffs and you get gifts of heaven: even just a 4slave-4master block can do a LOT of damage
Heck yeah! The only reason I am not the *most* excited for those abilities is as Mekone I get anyfort E3s. So that aspect of my excitement is lessened, and I am more hype about S/E path because that can get me autocommunion items, golems, and the +1 magic shield. That said, any nation is happy to find magus.
@@Ragatokk It depends on the mage and the randoms. Like the daduchos for example. If it has 1 in all the paths, thats a perfect comm slave. A bit rare ofc. I dont tend to favor big communions, so s1X2 for example i would likely consider them using power of the spheres. Potentially with a communion casting light of the northern star to reduce the fatigue first. Its weird but it makes sense. Probably. I should make a video.
@@Madhattersinjeans Yes! Recording some today. My current goal for 2025 is to make a video per week. Right now thats guides i am excited to talk about. Once i complete recording of a gameplay series, starting with mekone, ill do that. No more series on hold for months
E+D is skull of fire. Though it comes very late now with the Const nerf (I'm still mad they nerfed Construction of all things). Hounds of Twilight are E gems for whatever reason.
I forgot to mention the skull of fire too, good catch. In my head I was also thinking I didn't need the additional F booster, I could get to F5 anyways! Obviously forgetting that Eternal Pyre is F6 to cast... Or that if I am mass producing F5s (for flames from the sky), skulls of fire are much cheaper than elemental staves. That wasteland is a place of great shame and forgetfulness.
I guess. As long as I underline that technically I am not being "efficient" or playing properly by mass switching. I'm almost certain its better to beeline a specific impactful tech rather than flop through my current options and grab low hanging fruit-solutions. I feel like once I get most things to 5 I do aim straight to 7s/8s rather than get everything to 6... Dom6 is weird.
@@ZanGamesyeah I feel like I do the same thing with early research and part of it is that you just realize things, like for example if I find astral indies I might spend a turn to grab Evocation 3 so they can remote site search rather than needing to walk around, but it might not be a priority for that reason before then. So I've often had a default set of priorities but might do just in time researching of lower levels of other paths as needed.
@@ZanGames Yeah, but you probably change because you think there is something you need more at that time. So figuring out what you really go for and beeline the important parts of those might be an improvement.
It might not be since its technically a citadel. 200 Archers don't mean much to Mekone, but to a lot of nations that can be tough. Especially with flaming arrows + windguide... The stair archers are funny tho

No one is ever unhappy to find Magus! S-E is a great path, especially here!
Sometimes their site has slow to recruit version with F2S2E1.

Think you could learn a lot by analyzing why you change research so often, and what you end up getting in what order.
