What's the best approach for de-winterizing the van to get all the anti-freeze out?

Good morning! It really is just a matter of closing valves opened during winterization and flushing out... this may also help you, although this does not have the Nautilus water system, but the concept may help you. ua-cam.com/video/ixQ8id0xsVw/v-deo.html

Thanks for the great video on this! Curious on the fresh water tank .. since it has a line feeding into it and out to the low point drain, etc .. should one run a little antifreeze through it too and drain it out through the low point drain? Or does this happen already in winterize mode? My impression it that winterize mode bypasses the fresh water tank .. but maybe not? Thanks in advance!

Good morning! Thank you for your note… the valve locations for winterize mode will accomplish this, and you are correct that it will not fill the water tank as it’s not under pressure during storage. In terms of the low point drains, you can do either, but we normally close off just so it’s more convenient for guests to use the next season.

if I am taking trips in the winter, but not everyday, how do I prevent the pipes from freezing?

Good morning! Thank you for your note! No worries, the water lines are enclosed in the van so you would simply keep your efficient diesel and / or electric hydronic heating system above freezing. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the helpful video! Just curious, if you don’t use the shower, does it still have water in there that needs to be winterized? Never touched mine.

Good morning Toby! Thank you for your note! You would still want to winterize as most likely you used the sink and toilet, but most importantly there is water in the water pump itself, which will be the first to burst if subject to freezing temps without RV antifreeze. Hope this helps!

How cold of weather can the Winnebago Revel be in before you have to winterize it?

Good morning! Winterization would primarily be for storage if you are not able to keep the hydronic heating system running in storage. Otherwise you could continue to operate with the hydronic heating as the Revel is a four season van. Hope this helps!
