Don’t know HOW you got away with only 3-½ cups of flour! It took me over SIX! And the baking time was closer to 20 minutes. I will say, though, that the results are incredible! Makes me wanna stuff a pillow with ‘em, they’re so soft. I’m sure to make these again!

I made a vegan version of these and there Good...OMG I was afraid they weren't going to turn out right but my family love them. Thank u, I substitute milk for Cashew milk, the egg for egg replacer, I used unbleached flour & vegan no soy butter and made my own buttermilk with Cashew milk and ACV but u can use lemon juice.

Mo you’re the 🐐, queen! I’ve made these rolls relentlessly since two months ago & they’re a hit every time. My family told me these are as good as the recipe my grandma & aunt used to make, as they were the only two who knew the recipe, thanks for allowing me to bring my fam those memories back! Sidenote* This is a sticky dough, but that’s a good thing! Careful adding that extra flour, one of my baking experts says not being careful w/ that extra flour can make the rolls dry, so sometimes sticky is good, that means moisture, and they’ll rise easier! Also, make sure you’re using the correct yeast! Active dry & Rapid Rise are not the same, and will produce different results! For this recipe, make sure you use active dry yeast!

Hi there.. I Have been circling Tube for yeast rolls recipe that is somewhat familiar to my grandmothers. Lo and behold you young diva I think has done the trick. You even fold the way my grandma used to. I will be definitely using this recipe for my rolls next time. I can cook but never was much of a baker. I decided I didn't want all the extra butter so I made these without any of the butter slathering steps and they were perfect and delicious. I figured since I'm going to butter my rolls when I eat them, I didn't need all the other. This is going to be my go-to recipe now!

These rolls came out really good. Just like you said, the recipe is so forgiving. Even though I thought I had over kneaded it, I didn’t and they came out so light and fluffy. I didn’t baste the rolls with melted butter and they still came out great. I also used half ghee and half shortening. Thanks for sharing!

OMG!!! where have you been all my life, There was a lady I used to order the same roll from I never knew the recipe and those look just like hers and they had a honey butter taste I don't know but I will be trying this recipe thank you so much doll.
This recipe brought back elementary school memories. They taste just like the rolls i used to get at lunch and my mom would tell me to bring her home one. Everyone please try to find buttermilk (2 of my stores didn't have any) and don't make the homemade version. If you do make the homemade buttermilk version with milk and vinegar DO NOT add it to the pan. I learned the hard way that you'll start making cheese. Lol. Stressful Thanksgiving morning. So add the fake buttermilk once you add the egg to the batter. And please remember to cook them at 400 degrees. I had sweet potato casserole in oven @ 350 degrees before i put the rolls in and was wondering why the rolls weren't ready after 14 minutes. I cooked them an extra 10 minutes and noticed they were still slightly undercooked. That's when i re- read the recipe instructions and realized my mistake on the heating instructions. Anyway, I said a prayer and hoped they'd continue cooking in the pan as I had an hour to drive for Thanksgiving dinner. They were perfect.
My mother worked in a school cafeteria when my daughter was in elementary school (she’s 49 now) and mother made those delicious school rolls..😲😊..all I can say is “slurpppppp!!😜 they were sooooooo gooooood. When I made this the dough it smelled like butter popcorn amazing! As I baked the rolls my house smelled amazing. The taste delicious.

These are the best yeast rolls ever. I made some for Thanksgiving and they were a hit. Making more already. Also, made the sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake. My family is obsessed. Thank you for sharing🤗🤗🤗
