- Erik has to be at the market by 5:30 AM to Learn from Lorena, a 3rd generation taco entrepreneur who learned the way of the "Taco Guisado" from her grandmother. Watch as Erik learns some tips on how to prepare some delicious salsas and guacamole.
Recently I was fortunate enough to meet some Mexican women. I think some gringos might be surprised how generous they are and how they love to see you discover authentic Mexican food. I really love this food. I have one friend that will bring me food and make some salsa especially for me. We joke that she makes it white boy hot lol. I am so happy I have had this opportunity to sample this food because it was only 25 years or so that I thought that tacos were something that Taco Bell sold. Even then my experience was limited to Mexican Restaurants in my area. While some of them were good and I still enjoy them, the food they served wasn't anything like what these women have introduced me to.
It was just plain fun watching you and Lorena talking away. And the food, well it just looked out of this world. Lorena you have a wonderful smile.

Erik - Great videos, dude(!). Do you have any relating to your travels? How long were you doing this?
youre actually worth watching, man. i thought you were going to be the typical obnoxious American trying to prove how he so gets the culture, but it's not like that. out of the videos I've seen(of yours) you maintain your identity and points of view, while at the same time showing the proper amount of respect. you fit in
thanks my friend! I really appreciate your comment
I agree, I love watching you interact with them "grandmas". I hope you go back this location to get recipes for the actual tacos, its look so so good!
Me, too. Now I came here to Mexico, without having no plans what to do, where to go what to eat, knowing nothing beforehand. But I found you, anyway. I totally enjoy your videos, getting ideas and they help me a lot!! Thanks Erik!!

Hasta hablas igual que el.

Your guacamole statement is not true, I have seen Mexicans put mayonnaise in their guacamole.
