it’s the 5.3L V8 that you rented, only the denali has a 6.2L v8 which has 420 hp
These are great cars for sure! At the end of the day a huge SUV is never going to get great gas mileage that’s just physics. High teens is all these will manage. I’m glad GM has continued the 5.3 V8 into the 2021 generation. It suits this car well! Thanks for the review again!
Great review and content! Thanks for showing
This is my next vehicle I've been watching videos of this truck and I can't wait to purchase it
same man
I'm a big fan of the Yukon XL. I really don't need a vehicle this big. But I absolutely love to have the extra room when I need it. After watching this video definitely makes me want to buy one. Also waiting on the 2021 refresh.
Wow, you got lucky with a car this nice! I love the Yukon! Great review as well!😸😸
Ryan Frisby 8 love the Yukon too! The other car reviewers would never review something like this but I'm so glad he did!😁
Love it❤
Definitely a road master for long road trips. Independent rear suspension on this model would have been better but glad they still offer the rear liftgate glass opening. Not a fan of GM gauge clusters or the left side dominated 4wd, trailer brake and headlight controls, traction control etc crammed next to each other but a great feature for lefties for once lol. Nice review as always. Keep it up 👍🏼✌
I rented one of these for holidays in Los Angeles, I thoroughly enjoyed it ! It's not amazing on gas though, but that V8 is very decent for such a tank
They are great vehicles. I drive the short wheel base on a daily basis and I average about 17.5 around the city. In your review you stated that the Yukon SLT has the 6.2 litre engine the correct engine size is the 5.3 at 355hp. I really enjoy your reviews, please keep them coming.
6.2 is optional engine
@@maxst2, the 6.2 is only in the Denali. The 2015-2020 SLT and the SLE only come with the 5.3. 6.2 is optional only starting with the 2022 model year.
It looks like rental companies are adding the 2021 to their fleet....I'd love to see you review it soon.
We have the Yukon Denali. This car is literally my favorite car 😍. My personal car is the Mercedes Gle and with 3 teenagers I’m telling you luxury suvs aren’t even worth it
You should try to test out the new Sienna Minivan, it comes only in hybrid and gets mid 30's MPG. Perfect for a road trip
I Had the opportunity to pick between a GM or a Ford Truck, I had a feeling GM's truck/SUV standard side mirrors are a tad small(vs Ford's), what do you think?
Even 9 years ago you wouldn't notice the difference between 120 or 60 in the 2011 model...best car for the highway
In 2021 my brother bought a 2019 GMC Yukon XL Denali with 48,000 miles. He paid for the extended warranty for 75,000 miles of coverage. Thank God he did. This has been one of the worst vehicles he has ever owned. It is always at the dealership for "check engine" lights and running rough. The dealer cannot seem to find what is wrong with it. They turn off the engine light and five miles down the road it comes on. The dealer is just limping it along, until it goes off warranty and then is my brother's problem. They want to trade it in, but the dealer has no new vehicles. My Mom's cousin also bought a newer suburban and is full of electrical gremlins and no start issues(they ended up buying a older model suburban and parking this one, because they don't want anyone to get stuck with their lemon). My Mom's best friend has a newer Tahoe and it has "no crank" issues at times and the dealer cannot find what's wrong with it. I would stay away from newer GM Suv's at this time. This is like GM with their vehicles from 2007 and newer when they were cheaply building vehicles right before the great recession in 2008. When we bought our 2009 chevy 6.0 3/4 ton pickup the transfer case failed at only 7500 miles. :(
LMAO it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out why he was driving on the left side of the road...
Just wait until you have to attach the car seat rear tether. The loops are all the way at the bottom and they are super tight, at least with the car seats I use. Traverse is way easier.
Check out the all new Yukon. It’s gorgeous!
On these 3 row vehicles, the 3rd row is really meant for kids on long trips.
Wow a 2019 in 2020 with 38,000 miles on it. That sucks lol. They are nice trucks just a bit outdated but I can’t wait for the new 2021 redesigns to hit the rental lots. Great video as always.
Probably was bought in mid 2018 and after all it is a rental
Disney Fan Fellow Disney fan here. Considering how this year has been I expect rental car companies to keep their 2020 models till the 2nd half of 2021. Who knows what will happen with Hertz.
Kevin Karcher Yes but this is actually a Enterprise car and it is pretty old so they will definitely get rid of it soon
nate Yeah but renting a old car sucks
A 2019 was 5 model years old. Not really outdated at all...
We rented the Chevy Suburban (same year/same trim options) and were amazed at ride and good mpg.
How many miles did you drive the rental? I'm curious about the gas millage. I'm renting one of these to drive from the west cost to the east.
The front of the 2021 looks like it smacked straight into a wall and 3rd row leg room is NOT any better in the XL version only the regular. We test drove the 2020 Yukon XL Denali Ultimate and the same XL Ultimate in a 2021 and were highly turned off at all the plastic inside the 2021 redesign plus that hideous front end. Bought the 2020 in Summit White and she’s gorgeous 🤍
THE 2021 IS EVEN WAY NICER AND BETTER
I've only personally driven the Chevy Suburban, and I was quite impressed by it. I prefer the styling of the Suburban/Tahoe over the Yukon/XL, but both are great vehicles. :)
By the way, I think your rented Yukon XL has the 5.3L V8, NOT the 6.2L, based on your power ratings you gave when you popped the hood.
Something this big should have a third row big enough to comfortably fit adults. Thank god the new ones do (2021 redesign).
I am 5' 10" and have sat in the third row of my 2020 Yukon. I have no issues back there. If you do, time to go on a diet?? lol
Ooooh sank you so maaach amewican
Paint it yellow and put a School Bus sign on it. Get in black wear a suit and tie and dark sunglasses and you are a G-Man.
Nah it looks nothing like a bus dude. Just admit you don't need a big suv to tow large boats and campers...
why are your feet bare?
That's 20 less mpg than my Yaris.
But a lot more comfortable
lol... apples to oranges...
I have a 2020 Yukon SLT... I love my truck but when I heard "it's fun to drive" repeatedly, I laughed out loud. Nobody buys these big machines because they are "fun". We buy them to tow, the power, to haul stuff, etc. A sports car is "fun".
Also, the SLT trim level has a 5.3l V8, not the larger 6.2. The button you said was adaptive cruise control is not so, it is forward collision warning. This trim does not have adaptive cruise. I enjoy most of your reviews but you should spend more time researching the vehicles you aren't too familiar with before posting the reviews to your page.
Hi, are you going to upload more videos? And do you have an instagram account?
