Rock it, man! I'm 54 and have been training on and off my entire life. I finally started TRT (waited until it was needed), and I have been transformed. This transformation was primarily due to bodyweight exercises, diet (intermittent fasting/low carb), and yoga. I can do 200+ pushups now, 30 pull-ups, and dips until I get bored. :) I use an old lady walker-type device called a Rack that I add weight to and do circuit training with it. I have dropped 31 lbs of fat, and I'm 5'10", 193 lbs, and lean, around 12% BF. I am shooting for 10% bf. My wife (of 35 years) works out with me and she looks amazing. Way younger than her age. He looks in great condition for his age. I've worked out since I was 16,I'm now 82.one thing i can say for sure no matter how much you exercise and eat properly there is an aging process that takes place naturally in all of us.We can slow it down but none of us can avoid it.

For those who don't know, many people with sickle cell are often in severe pain, and don't feel like even getting out of bed, let alone exercise. Many people die at a young age from sickle cell. I've known two people who died in their teens from sickle cell.

I am almost 50. Since I started full body weight with low reps, I gained a lot of mass and strength. I am still at my top. Have been picking up boxing, skiing and table tennis, since weight lifting was becoming too much of a routine. I have been on a carnivore diet for a year now and I ate quite some sugar stuff with Christmas.. I feel terrible. But it is and always will be a fight against your genes and brain. Next to that I do a 72 hr coffee fast every 4 weeks. Key is to keep learning, evolving, keeping good things and drop the bad ones.

2 1/2 years ago at age 65 I began working out again after 15 years, but unfortunately have severe rotator cuff problems, as well as lower back issues, so I've had to Even with these limitations, I've gone from over 40% body fat to 17%, and gained a lot of muscle, even on a 'eat whatever I want' diet (I really need to work on that, but I love popcorn, pizza and chocolate). I do incorporate intermittent fasting (16/8) and caloric restriction to within my BNR. Despite my limitations, I am in the best shape of my life, and love it when people remark about my fitness level. Two days ago I fell backwards out of the bed of a jacked-up pickup, landing shoulder and head first onto concrete, a fall that could have easily killed someone my age. I could hardly believe that I jumped up within 30 seconds (after seeing some stars). I was bloodied, but not battered. I fully expected to be incredibly sore afterwards, but to my surprise, I felt perfectly normal! I can only attribute it to my fitness level (and perhaps a little help from God). Getting old doesn't have to mean we cannot enjoy our lives, but only if we take care of ourselves.
I had similar shit happen to me but am lifting light weights, doing more reps. Been doing weights since age 18 & am now 79. The WBBG gave me the award "Progenitor of modern competitive female body building"
