Incredible that all those moments are so overshadowed by the infamous ear bite.

Been bingewatching these Mike Tyson videos for months now. The thing that I noticed the most is how small and compact those punches are. It's not small by power it's the movement. It's small, sharp, and compact punches. So far there's nobody else that can utilize it as well as Tyson did. There are moments where boxers will land these type of punches but not as well as this legend.
That's by design. Peek A Boo was designed for smaller, compact fighters to find openings and get through an opponent's jab, using disciplined footwork and head movement. By the time they close on their opponent, small, sharp punches are what they are trained to land. Go to the body to bring their arms down, the score the knockout punches upstairs before their opponent can brace for it or see it.
@Ronny Smith as a second generation student in Bruce Lee's lineage through Lewis and Inosanto I will tell you that Lee Jun Fan does not belong in this conversation.

Iron Mike sure was fun to watch. I'm the exact same age as Mike. He was the pride of boxing for us Gen-Xers everywhere. Great video too, lots of memories there.
I actually love Mike Tyson. Despite all his crazies and before retirement.. during his prime time he was a great athlete. He always go up to his opponent to see if they're OK after they've been K.O'd. Great man.
If I could meet Mike, the first thing, I'd do is give him a hug. Every man he beat, he never forgot to be genuine and care for their well-being, and always came to their aid. Remarkable man by all accounts.
@ It's a sport. The goal is to win. Each man enters the ring willingly in hopes to win. Careful what you wish for as they say. Mike was knocked out in round 8 by Lennox Lewis. I'm quite sure Lennox inflicted more damage to prize boxers than Mike has. The point I was making was a man of sport, who can hold onto his compassion is better than the strongest man who boastfully wins. Every man I know understands this.

I have a lot of respect for fighters in general, but especially for those going against men like tyson, it takes great courage (or recklessness) to step into the ring with such a person
He was vicious when the bell rings, but so humble, kind and gentle outside the ring. Was a privilege to watch him in his prime back in the day. He was overwhelmingly respectful of his opponents.. well until the ear incident.
Thanks for putting this together it brought back allot of memories.and excitement. He was an awesome fighter .the way he had no fear and went right after his opponents.
Most of his opponents were defeated before they even stepped into the ring. The opponents that didn't fear Tyson are the ones that stood the best chance of beating him.
Mike is definitely in my opinion 100% thee best fighter there has ever been in the history of booking ya Ali had some fame but honestly he's lucky Tyson wasn't in his day and time....

@@kenworth3609 He didn't do so well against boxers that could take a punch though. Have you forgotten that? He lost more times than Muhammad Ali, who was fighting with Parkinsons symptoms towards the end of his career. Mike Tyson was great but only for a short period of time and I don't rate the fighters he beat. I know he had problems but Ali was banned for 3 years during his peak and had Parkinsons, so I wouldn't say he had it easier. Just look at the young George Forman Ali beat. He was much better than boxers like Frank Bruno and probably punched harder than Tyson, because he was much heavier.
Love Tyson, he was the greatest as far as I’m concerned. He wasnt boisterous, mouthy, he just had one goal to knock out his opponent and he did that with a goal to that undeniably!

Absolutely ferocious, loved it!!!
He is the HULK of boxing.
Great editing, narrative, & production on this vid. Thumbs up!
Love Tyson, he was the greatest as far as I’m concerned. He wasnt boisterous, mouthy, he just had one goal to knock out his opponent and he did that with a goal to that undeniably!
