      Hi Philip! I am sorry your heater was too loud. There was a run of these models with a high output fan, but they have not been nearly as popular as the low output fan. We can replace it for you for free if you send it to us. The HS-1500-PHX is also a great quieter option.

    Thank you for the video. This product seems well engineered and thought out. Double wall insulation and the wifi unit is supported by and app that can do on/off, temp change and scheduling plus google or alexa controls. The only critical feedback I would give on the video is it sound like there is fake grass under your demo unit which cannot be seen but we can hear the shoe rubbing (scratching sounds) which distract from the video. Replace with carpet or hardwood floor...or keep feet still. :)

    I have one but the thermostat seems off. I have it in my office. When I leave in the evening, I turn it down to 55. Came in this morning and the unit said it was 68 degrees in here, so naturally the heater had turned off. My thermometer (on my desk) said it was 52.2. It seems to always be off at least a few degrees with the unit thermometer showing higher than it actually is in the room. Am I doing something wrong?

      What about the Phoenix 1500 would it trip the breaker ? Can I run it with other accessories plug in?

    • @HeatStorm
      @HeatStorm  5 років тому

      @@robwhiff3411 There is a chance you could trip the breaker with the Phoenix if you are running other items on the same outlet. The HS-1000-WX only runs on 500-1000 watts with anti-trip technology so that you can run other items on the same circuit. Depending on the quality of insulation, The WX will heat up to 250-500 square feet where the Phoenix will heat up to 800-1000 sq feet (the Phoenix may be overkill, unless you have a huge bathroom)

    • @HeatStorm
      @HeatStorm  5 років тому

      @@robwhiff3411 how big is your bathroom? if it is larger than 200 sq ft, and no other heat source, I would get the phoenix, it has a bigger fan and bigger heating elements. once it hits the temp you set it to, it will drop to 750 watts of heating power to maintain the temp, so you should be able to run any other accessory with it on the same outlet. That should be a great option for you! you can order it from our website at 20% off when you enter coupon code "UA-cam" at checkout :) we also have it on amazon, home depot, walmart and many other retailers. let me know if you need anything else!

The 1000 watt unit in this video can do up to 200 sq feet of heating as a primary heat source with good insulation. If you already have central heating it will handle up to 500 square feet of Supplemental heating. If you need more area than that, I would suggest either getting multiple units or going with our 1500 watt infrared wall heater called the Phoenix which will do up to 300 sq ft primary heating or 1000 sq ft of supplemental heating.

    R25 insulated room

    • @HeatStorm
      @HeatStorm  5 років тому +3

      Hi James, thanks for the comment, there's a lot of factors that go into determining the cost of heating but if its your only heating source and it was running full power the whole time, it would look something like this: If the cost of your electricity is 10.5 cents per kilowatt hour then you would calculate (1000w x 24h ÷ 1,000 x $0.105) = $2.50/day X 30 = $75.6/month during the cold months. Since R25 is high quality insulation, it may only take an hour of run time to get the room up to the temperature you want and then the heater would most likely kick down to ECO-mode which is half power at 500 W to maintain the heat, so don't quote me on this but you would be looking best case scenario around $35/month @ 10.5 cents/KW all the way up to $75/month depending on heat loss from windows etc. I hope that helps!
