Both of you via your UA-cam channels made it possible for me to buy both my daughters their wedding dresses (one of them this year) by reselling as a side hustle and I thank you. Crikey Nic I remember the dial up! Took 30 minutes to list an item 😂
The problem is not you two included there are certain resellers on you tube saying this is easy and I have made x amount but they are not truthful and not knocking fees etc off their net profit. It is extremely hard to make a living off reselling and f you have bills to pay etc and they is not plenty to go around I just wish people were more transparent and tell the truth
Please can either one of you do videos regarding tax and paying tax for reselling on ebay as with the new rules coming in for 2024 would love know how you keep records of what you buy and sell and what expenses you take out ?? As iam looking at making a business due to this and need help
Just a big thankyou george for helping us out a big hole. We've been selling for a year now and have found you inspirational to our journey as full time resellers. I hope you keep growing and get to where you want. Selling online will never go away, people will always want items a bit cheaper. Happy new year.
We are all blessed with 20/20 hindsight. When I was 15 in 1970, I started collecting Corgi toys and have left them in their boxes ever since. Unfortunately I only have about a dozen, (my money ran out), but it does include a James Bond Aston Martin!
retro reseller remember i message you and said is it a good thing keep saying to you about buying from charity shops . and now chartiy shops have hire managers to sell on ebay .now charity shops charging sky high price
Haha, you should do this after a few pints 😊 I didn’t realise you’d only started Jan 2019 George, I started watching you in October 2019 and it was like a penny dropping for me, I realised I’d already done a fair bit of RA.
I find if you know something to be worth way more than the person is asking regardless of the reason you should give a little more after all making somones day better is worth more than money. Not saying you see something for £1.00 knowing its worth £100.00 so giving £50.00 just give £5.00 then say keep the change or £6.00 give £10.00 and so on. Charity shops run off a business model after all the fame of reselling with few other factors caused them to put prices up or sell online after all the person donating would want them to achieve the best return for the charity. Loads of places to find items auctions houses are superb for this always have a local one you can buy cheap. Keep decent items to sell online and sell rest to a market stall or even sell it yourself.
You really have to work in a charity shop to understand how they work. Don’t complain to those of us who work in the shops. We have to price according to a guide from head office. All complaints, take to the top. Most charity shops these days work on a business model. Remember, it’s not the shop staff and volunteers fault!!!
It's not even from the re-seller perspective though, you can't even get a bargain as a regular shopper in a charity shop these days - I've seen Primark t-shirts priced higher than they would have been in Primark!
I only ever use yodel or royal mail, mostly yodel, never had an issue with them, great tracking system and easy to talk to them, evri is all computerised and ai help desk, at least yodel you talk to real people
Charity shops used to be run by little old ladies who wouldn’t be aware of socials, ebay etc now the NEW “old lady” volunteers are mostly computer savvy and that’s another reason for charity shop price increases. It’s such a shame that good stuff is being taken to tips while chazzers are turning stuff away because people aren’t buying as much.
Do you ever get a bad feeling from a customer on ebay before they even buy an item?? I have someone asking me if they can buy it before the auction ends, I said no, they then said can I give extended warrenty amd can they return it after 14 days if it's faulty, serious red flag to me
only just got round to watching this back - great edit - thanks George :)

Love it!!!!!
Think I missed this - what happened to the app and the pub game?
It’s a shame that charity shops are pricing resellers out with higher prices then having to put signs up sorry no donations we are full
Great point dead on

Also they are many private sellers masquerading as business sellers they get all the benefits eBay offer them but are not truthful
Great video, hope you’re having a great Christmas time 🙂👍
