I love how, at the end of many of these games with Hikaru, he sets up the pieces super fast and teaches a concept or skill. It's not just post-game analysis, but a general point, on the spot. Cool stuff.

Everyone of them hates Mike until they watch him play Dada and Golan, then they get it and Mike's game. It's hysterical. This channel has done more for the game than the LA Chess Club could ever dream!
Hope he did,any time you play chess amongst other things as a pro,I'm sure doing anything new with it is a breath of fresh air and keeps you from getting burnt out in chess. I just think it's also great how Hikaru is so respectful and helps out with points and strategies after the games. What a great guy to take time out of his personal life and be humble enough to remember his fans and play chess with a great group of people and chess players.
It feels like Hikaru is really playing instructive games with Golan. He's letting him experience all kinds of threats and positional plays. I think it's fascinating. These little mini-lessons by Hikaru are gold! Of course lower level players can benefit as well, but for those of us around Elo 2000, there is a real dearth of good material to learn from. Hikaru is playing guys who are really good by club standards, which means the guys that most people will end up playing (and losing to). So his end-of-game lessons are really helpful for that, and the way he just cuts to the meat of the matter is the mark of a very good teacher as well. Kudos!

Hikaru is such a master God of Chess, it’s unfathomable. Hikaru understands every tiny nuance of the game it’s ridiculous. The wonderful thing is his willingness to teach the younger players! Amazing.
For once I actually saw the two lines they're talking about, that would have been real nasty. Hikaru was looking at pushing bishops to get a fast mate. Might have just been a miscalculation in not going with the knight and leveraging that fork earlier as he does it later. Wonder if Hikaru wanted to keep the kid engaged and opted for the slower play or legitimately blundered there twice.
Coffee chess I've been watching you for about two years now... And I have never once been able to say yes to when you edit "do you see the line?" 😔 Lmao
At 4:08 it seems to me he could’ve moved his rook to attack the unprotected bishop on b5 which hikaru would’ve had to react either checking with bishop or move his pawn up on c3 and could’ve opened up the bishop to take the pawn/queen and the bishop would have to move allowing the rook to take the pawn and check Hikaru which could have allowed him to move his pawns up or disrupt Hikaru’s pawn structures
