Pls give me steps how to remove spray from tyres
Give me reply
Can you show us how to remove a bad paint job on an older car without clear coat to get to the original paint?
Works Fantastic!!!
I rarely ever leave comments in UA-cam but I was compelled to leave one this time. My wife's minivan was caked with paint on the passenger side. This happened a few years ago and I had pretty much given up on ever trying to remove the paint. I came across this video and thought it would be worth another try. It completely removed all traces of paint without damaging the cars' clear coat. I was truly impressed.
Awesome!! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your fantastic results Keith, we really appreciate it. Hope you have a great day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
What did he sprayed on paint
I have a dark blue 2015 4Runner, my wife drove over freshly painted white lines that were not marked. All down one side there were white dots, I tried everything to remove them. Nothing worked without scratching the paint. Found this video and thought why not I have nothing to loose. I used 91% Alcohol and Paint Thinner and it worked!! They were baked on due to the 100 degree days and the fact it’s been a few months since the incident. I just soaked a microfiber towel and held it over those areas for a few minutes and they eventually came off. I can’t thank you enough for this video!! 😎
Awesome! Thank you for sharing, we truly appreciate it! Our pleasure to help. Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
SPC,
Your concoction worked...totally got my overspray off without hurting the finish.
Thank you for the great advice!
Great job! It's our pleasure, thanks so much for sharing! Have a great day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Thank you very much! I have a regular customer that works at a steel mill and gets over-spray on his vehicle in tiny amounts, daily. He brings me his truck twice a year. I have been using Citrol and clay, and it works, but it works me in the ground. AND, I then have to polish out the marring from the aggressive claying. You have saved me hours and a lot of pain :-)
Very glad we could help you that’s why were here my friend
I have used Enamel Reducer, and no Car paint damage, on a 81 ford Galaxie{Spray paint a few days old}......
thanks dave for sharing mike
This guy is like the MacGyver of cars! Very good info.
Mike is soooooooo awesome, He needs his own Theme Song. 👍😎👍

Thanks Brian 🤙
Pls give me steps in comment how to remove spray on tyres
Hello two questions:
1. Does it work on overspray that’s been on for a while or only when it’s fresh?
2. Can it be used on a matte clear coat safely? Thanks
If the car is clear coated it can be used otherwise it cannot be, as far as having it on for a while, you've got all to gain and nothing to lose my friend. Thanks for watching. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Great video! My car was stolen and returned 3 months later. For some friggin reason they spray painted the crap on the back of the car (trunk and bumper with drip stains . 2 questions: 1) bumper is plastic, will this hurt it? 2, because temps have been down to 50s and low 60s would medium reducer be better to the mix or the slow like you recommend? Thanks in advance, Mark
Sorry to hear that Mark and why would the insurance company not fix all that was damaged? and to now answer your question if you follow the process and exact tools on the video it will be safe for your car no matter where you use it. hope this help
mike
It works just used it on my Range Rover door that I accidentally over-sprayed. Thank you!
Glad to hear Talisa! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your results, we really appreciate it, have a great week my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Thank you so much for this info - going to mix some up and take care of a reckless spray paint overspray. Is the ceramic coating a necessary step? Thanks again for sharing!
Glad we could help Keith! Using this goo.gl/z9TrgR

Typical cleaning agents that many of us have in our garages. I have a very light overspray ( dusting ) on my Harley's gas tank I'm using this on. Thanks for the tutorial.

Do you think pressure washing it after would work as well?
I’m about to buy a clapped out tc 9.0 release series. And the previous owner spray painted over it without sanding the original paint. Would this method work to restore the original paint on the whole car?
Give it a shot, sounds like you've got nothing to lose my friend. Thanks for watching, have a great weekend and all the best on your project. mad Mike
Cool advice. Do you have any recommendations for removing overspray paint on plastic trim?
Would this combination work on road paint? I have been dealing with a lot of customers getting road paint on their cars lately.
frank we have found it works on most all paints
What are the 3 ingredients?
What’s the spray mixture? I sprayed a little primer on my paint by mistake need it gone
All of the products/tools we use can always be found in the SHOW MORE of the videos description, if you can't find it let us know and we will help you. Thanks for watching, have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I'm going to assume the answer is yes but here it goes anyway. Would this work for paint transfer where someone got my front bumper cover in the parking lot?
Give it a shot Barbara, you have all to gain and nothing to lose. Thanks for watching and asking, have a great day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I promise you that you have one of the best D. I.Y. Channels on UA-cam. I’m always waiting on the next video.

I have a 64 VW Notchback that someone sprayed grey primer over the OG paint, you think this could help get rid of the primer? Could use some help!
I'll guarantee this method will work Brandon, just make sure you use the exact same products/tools shown. Thanks for watching and asking, have a fantastic week and all the best on your project. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Does this also work on tires and chrome rims? I ran over something this morning and I didn't know what it was until I got home. Afterward I saw white spray paint on the tire, rim, and rear quarter-panel.
Yes it does. Sounds like you've got some work to do my friend. Thanks for watching and sharing, have a great week. mad Mike
Thanks!
I have a truck that had got stolen and they decided to try and spray paint it to camouflage it. White truck blue spray paint. I’m going to try this to bring the truck back to the way it was. Do you think if I saturated it with this solution I could the. power wash the spray paint off instead of scrubbing the whole truck?
First, hit it with the power washer to remove what you can, then the mixture can be applied. Let it sit until it looks like it's evaporating then hit it again with the power washer, do one section of the truck at a time. Hope this helps you out Jon, good luck on your project my friend. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it. mad Mike the hammer SPC
why are there 2 types of thinners listed? do i need both, or is one fine, mixed with the old 99%? thanks guys, great help
You need both thinners/reducers per the mixing instructions in the video. Thanks for asking. Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Can this product be used on a small truck that was painted entirely hundred percent with spray paint. I’m using a pressure washer and blowing some of it off. My thought is to spray this product on and then pressure wash it off. Thank you very much for your help.
Give it a shot, we've had good luck with this process Ken. Thank you for watching and asking, have a great day and all the best on your project. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Bitchen ........now I can spray my friends cars as a joke..............
Will this mixture work on primer, too? Previous owner of my car had a bad paint job applied, no surface prep, and it's slowly peeling off. But it would take forever to peel even a sideview mirror by hand, let alone the entire car. Looking into methods of chemical removal, and yours seems to be the most effective at breaking down spray paint.
The vehicle must be clear coated for this to work or it will skin the primer off your car. Hope this helps, Christian, have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I'm a little late to this video but didn't get an overspray on my car until a week ago (7 Nov 2023). The second thinner you suggested from amazon isn't available and they suggested an alternative (U. S. Chemical & Plastics USC-4225 Slow Urethane Reducer) will this work as well? Thank you so much for your videos, this one especially, thank goodness I have a white car and the overspray was from a unknown type of paint (White) spilled on the road I couldn't avoid driving thru. Thanks again
Yes it will work, use these

You're never too late to view one of our videos my friend, we still receive your comments/questions and work hard to get everyone an answer. Thank you so much for watching and asking, hope you have a sweeeeet week my friend. mad Mike & team
@SweetProjectCars so just get these 2 thinners and mix it with alcohol?
Would this spray work to clean off over spray on spray on bed liners ?
Just try it in a small inconspicuous area first. But because spray on bedliners are made of polyurethane and polyurea, they most likely will be affected by this amzn.to/33tPuYw Now, you can try this amzn.to/3wIDQHd and will most likely have good luck with it. Hope this helps Oscar. Thanks for watching and asking, have a great day. mad Mike & team
Does this work on car urethane overspray? Restoring an old car, got some white urethane overspray on my dually. I'm guessing this concoction won't touch it.
Yes it will work on that Bill, try it on a small out of site area first to make sure you like the results. Thank you for watching and asking, have a great week my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
A couple of the links are to products that are no longer available. Are you brand specific? is a normal urethane reducer the same as a medium urethane reducer? thanks for helping. Nothing else has worked and I am excited to try your formula. I just want to make sure that i get it right.
Here's the reducer to use amzn.to/41HjU6x I updated the link, thanks for the heads up Valerie! We appreciate the view, hope you have a great day and all the best on your project, you will love the results my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Will this solution work on glass as well ? Where I work I get light overspray on a daily basis. Claybar removes some of it but not all. What’s the shelf life when solution is mixed ? Thanks for the tutorial
Great Video, I have a question. Do you know how to get oil stains from my Driveway?
nw8000 thank you and see this ua-cam.com/video/MvU6mt4yrwg/v-deo.html
Boy do I need this. So went to buy the products. Reducer could not be found in my area. Did an Amazon order, wait two weeks and then they tell they can’t deliver. Have alcohol and lacquer thinner, what happens if I don’t use reducer ?? Thanks
Hello Chris, this amzn.to/30NHfq9 is available, not sure where you are located that they can't deliver this to you but, it's a necessary product for this method. Hope this helps, thank you for watching and asking, have a great day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I have an old Chevy truck that had a really cheap paint job over the nice original 57 paint which was brown metallic-somewhere in time probably 20+ years ago it was painted with yellow color-after all these years the yellow paint is old, very chalky, and falling off showing the shiny old brown paint under it-will this stuff work to remove all the old flaking off yellow paint????????
It's worth a shot, it may work because the paint is so old, if it doesn't you're going to have to hand sand it all the way down. Thank you for watching and asking, have a great weekend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
i tried this is walmart thinner and alcohol and it worked then washed and wiped couple times
i painted my plate cover black and over spray got on my gold car didnt let sit to minimize contact to existing paint

Great info. Can this be used to remove overspray on black plastic and rubber trim? Or will it discolor the trim? Thanks.
Yes it can but always try a small out of the way area
Dude - this is my first post or review ever on any platform. This shiz works. I was very skeptical but not any longer. Thanks for saving me I cannot tell you how much time guys!!!!!

I’m trying to find the chemicals. What were the three he used? Someone spray painted my black Chevy equinox.
Big respect for linking up the products for us UK watchers. You've got a bunch of viewers over here, my car mates all know about you!
P.S. I painted a bicycle in the most unprofessional way possible for a family member. Overspray everywhere! Gonna give this a go when I've got a spare while, well worth knowing!
very glad we can help you
Hi I just bought a van and there is a few places where the old owner used different shade of colour build bit darker. Can you help please
Is it safe for a ceramic coat as well?My car has ceramic coating and garage which did a job on my car sprayed something nearby my car, i don't wanna bother with blame them so want to remove the overspray myself. I was going to use clay bar, but i read that clay bar can damage the ceramic coating? fast reply would be highly appreciated due to need to act fast with this.
I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma that appears to have been painted in grey matte house paint by previous owner. He was a painter for a living. Not sure why he painted it as it was fine before. Maybe to cover body damage or to make it look cooler i'm not sure. The original color was Mica Silver which is a nice paint to begin with. I was wondering if I could use the 3 paint thinners for the entire truck and how big of a project that would be/how much money do you think that type of job would cost. I don't want to spend 4-6K on a new paint job since the paint underneath looks great still. Any advice would be helpful. Great video.
Yes you can, but I would try one inconspicuous area to make sure it looks okay before you do it. As far as how much time? How much time do you want to invest into it? You will need a LOT of these amzn.to/3aObLDC like 4 bundles. Good luck on that project. Thanks for asking. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I just bought a car on the cheap and it came with a home latex paint job.
It's an '01 Honda. Would you recommend this method for the entire car, or do you have a better suggestion for such a large job?
Yes, this can be done on the entire car, but you're going to need these amzn.to/3BYnJay for that size job my friend. Thank you for watching and asking Kasey, have a great day and all the best on your project. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I have a challenger all black it’s got after spray all over it are you sure trying this won’t affect the black paint at all since you can see everything on black?
so I need to use alcohol and thinner together combined 60/60ml ?

Hi, I had some 2k clear coat can over spray get on truck. Will this remove? Or is there a safer way?
Dang it Mike! not only are you sharp as hell, but a mind reader too!!
it's exactly what I needed this weekend.
Thanks a million and have a wonderful Sunday
hey naz good to see you again and thanks for the kind words my good friend
You NEVER CEASE to AMAZE Man! Who would have thought it?!?!? SPC is the Shizznit!!
thank you rich :)
Hello, will this be easier and or safer than a clay block to remove 2 k clear over spray from a can?
I know you never ask a magician his secrets but here it goes anyway, how does this not soften the clear coat? Does the alcohol and reducer mix tone down the lacquer thinner? This is awesome I need to try it! 😎
We've been doing this for 50 years and have never seen this amzn.to/3OJTPxW soften clear coat FlakeBoss. Thank you for watching, have a great day and all the best on your project my friend, you will love the results, just follow the video as shown and be sure to use the exact products/tools we use for success. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Looked thru a ton of comments but cant find the info Im looking for. Will this solution remove oil based house paints?
Yes it will but you may need to do it a few times. Thanks for watching and asking! Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I’m going to try this on brand new control arms i got over spray on from painting the car. I’m going to assume they are finished with clear coat.
Hey Derrick, you know what they say about "assuming" my friend, if they aren't cleared, you will find out in a hurry doing our process and it won't be good, make sure you try it on an inconspicuous area first to make sure you like the results. Thanks for watching, have a great day and all the best on your project. mad Mike the hammer SPC
@@SweetProjectCars thanks for the advice. I’ll do that
Another timely procedure for me. I had my 1985 Volvo Turbo painted 6 weeks ago and they did a pretty good job from appearances. However, I have aluminum bumpers that then have rubber covers on the 80% of the vertical face . I ask them to repaint the aluminum flat black because of flaking off over 34 years. They painted the aluminum and rubber gloss black.
I was just getting ready to strip the paint off of the rubber pads, and you delivered this video just in time. I am going to mask the aluminum portion off and give this mixture a shot rather than just using stripper.
Thanks again and again.
The old professor
You will love the results my friend
Make a video of your volvo please
Instead of 2 ounces of old 99 + lacquer thinner , could we do 6 ounces of each ?
If you need to make an extra large batch, go right ahead :) Our recipe is just the basis to begin. Thanks for watching and asking, have a fantastic day my friend. mad Mike & team
Will this work on polished aluminum and chrome?
It sure will! Thanks for watching and asking, have a great week my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Would thinner #1 and 91% alcohol work? I can’t see what thinner #2 was. Thanks I have some old white spray paint on my white car need get off. Previous owner thought that smart idea color doesn’t even match. Lol

I bought an old beater that someone rattle can spray painted the entire thing. Will this get all that off and reveal the factory paint?
Give it a shot, we've had good luck with that. Thanks for watching and asking Cole! Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
so i bought a used car that was completely covered in a thick layer of black spray paint, no idea how long it’s been like that, but would this also work on that? and would it work on plastic too?
the paint underneath looks like it’s a decent condition too, would it mess with that at all?
You'll need these amzn.to/3o6xsHf and about 4 gallons of this amzn.to/33tPuYw for that job my friend. Thanks for watching and asking, have a great day and all the best on your project. mad Mike the hammer SPC
@@SweetProjectCars 😂thank you
Great video. Will come in handy when touching up the car body work and you get paint over spray.Am I right in thinking it won't remove clear lacquer overspray which sometimes happens. Thanks for posting.
kobie we have found it works on removing most everything try a small area and see if you like the results my friend :) mike
How would you recommend removing spray can paint that's been on car for months but not damage the original paint under it . Would compounding work?
Follow this video and use the exact products shown. Thanks for watching and asking, have a great day and all the best on your project. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Update?
Seeing is believing! But that's still incredible. Would have come in useful for a relative about 10 years ago. They tried razorblades and steel wool because some idiot told them that was the only way to go.

Hello - My name is Patrick -- I have a 79 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that I got overspray on the whole car including the glass and I want to use your trick but I am a little apprehensive - can I use it on the glass and what about the vinyl decals -- also how long do you leave it on before you start to wipe the overspray isn't heavy just annoying.
Please re-watch the video Patrick, and if you are apprehensive, just try it on a small inconspicuous area first to make sure you are happy with the results. Thank you for watching and asking, have a great day. mad Mike
You provided two thinners but you said you only needed two ingredients to do this job. Do I purchase thinner 1 or 2?
Please re-watch the video, you need 3 products, the one's listed in the SHOW MORE, Jook. Thank you for asking, have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Would I be able to use U. S. Chemical & Plastics USC-4215 Normal Urethane Reducer instead of the one you recommended.

Would this work to remove Rust-Oleum Countertop Coating? There was a pint in my garage and when the temperatures started to rise, the top exploded and a good part of it splattered all over my car.
There's a good chance it will work, if this doesn't work you are most likely going to have to take it to a paint professional and have it stripped and re-painted. Thanks for watching and asking, have a great day and all the best on your project my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Would this work on plastice, like underneath running boards?
Looks great, but were any of those 2 weeks where the car was out in the baking sun or was it inside?
0:20
that was 2 weeks plus actually in the full blown sun my friend
@@SweetProjectCars Then VERY impressive!! ;-) You also said this only works on a clear coated car.
Why not single stage (acrylic enamels)?
It will work on quality single stage paints do a small area and see how it works for you
Hey Mike the Hammer....do I need to let it sit for a couple of minutes? Or I just spray and have a go at it?
You'll know, spray it and if it doesn't come right off let it sit and then have another go at it, it depends on how old the overspray is as well. Thank you for watching and asking Cecil! Hope you have a great day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Unfortunately in Australia these brands aren't available, also we don't really refer to paint as Lacquer ! Assuming it's Acrylic, not the old enamel or the newer 2 pack urethane, that's the Reducer.
Will that work for excess wax ceramic coated or armoral products that leave surface top greasy or slick to wrap with vinyl graphics?
Yes, this will remove everything that should not be on the clear coat, it will be grease free and you will be ready for any stickers, wrap etc. Thank you for watching and asking pedro, have a great week and all the best on your project my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC

I bought a car that the dealer painted, but they were kind of messy and over-sprayed everywhere. It’s in places like the vinyl and rubber. It’s not horrible but you can tell the car was re-painted. Would this concoction be ok to use on all those over sprayed areas on a car?
