My daughter has been complaining to be me, that she has to use her high beams at night cause her headlights were dull and faded. So I tried your method. WOW! what a difference. Not only does it look new, its also safe for her to drive at night without using high beams.. Thank you so much.

I've tried every hack out there to restire the lights on my 08 tundra. Minimal results and repeating process made me order new headlight assemblies from rock auto. Long story short, came across this video and figured what the hell. New headlight assemblies are on way back to rick auto and my headlights look better than new. You sir deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for saving the millions struggling over foggy headlights.

Some things I discovered though is since I’m a small framed female handling that large buffer took practice! My headlights were so bad off that it took about three applications on each headlight, but so proud of myself for accomplishing the task, and so grateful for your experience, guidance, and expertise to get both headlights done in 20 minutes flat! Can’t compare to the multi step sanding and then polishing since I’ve never tried it but I can definitely say they look better if not “perfect”. But sometimes “better” is good enough. Was inspired to try this. Got the Mothers Aluminium polish today ($16 AUD) and used my drill gun and rotary buffing pad. Both headlights on my car were lightly oxidised and hazy, all around each visor. Took longer than 3 minutes because I took the time to mask off the adjacent panels and wipe the headlights at various times to check progress before continuing on. Let me tell you, this really worked. No sanding at all. Took me 30 minutes to do both headlights. I'd never go back to sanding these ever again and I certainly wouldn't pay anyone else to do it. This works!

I finally bit the bullet and cleaned up my headlights using this process. Mixed results for me but I think that's user error, so I've learned a lot! First headlight I didn't keep moving the polisher enough so heated up a small spot on the headlight too much so it burned slightly....second headlight looks amazing, so thanks for the amazing video :)

Foggy and someone sprayed black something to dim the sides of the light array.

Just tried this on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma. It works. Not quite as fast as it looks, but in total time with getting tools out and putting this away. Took about an hour. No biggie. I used a foam pad on my drill, made two passes on each light and finished up with a soft buffer pad and a couple of coats of McGuires UV headlight protectant. I already had the Mother’s. Great stuff. Headlights don’t look like they just came out of the showroom. But they are clear and bright. 👍

I used a pre packed kit when I 1st bought my AMG 6years ago, & the sanding back all the old clear coating properly sweating my R's off for about 3 hours, then the application of the clear coating didn't take long & I was wrapped with them looking brand new. Once a year I hit them with a buff & wax that kept them decent, but this last year I just wasn't happy with them anymore'. So was ready to do this major crappy job all over again, or spend 70 bux with a 2 step Maguires kit. Then I saw your video & this morning I went outside, grabbed my 3/4 tin of Mothers, & my buff, & in less than 10 minutes they have turned my lights better than they ever had, (brand new). Thanks so much for passing this knowledge on, & whoever passed it on to you! I Mothers sealed ,& glazed them, then Mother's Carnauba Waxed them, and am stoked with how perfect they are. Thanks again man, I owe you a beer.

Incredible! I just did my Toyota Avensis headlights and they look like new again!
I just rubbed it in and polished it by hand with a microfiber polish pad. Ok, i am sweating...but the result is realy worth it!
Took me about half an hour all together.
I first went to a headlight repair specialist and they told me that most of it was on the inside of the headlight and they could not do much.
Then i went to my dealer and they said, we need to sand them completely and then recoat them again. Would have cost me 65 Euro per headlight.
Total costs now was 30 Euro!
Thnx a looooot this great tip!!!

I tried this with Mothers polish and a cheap microfiber rag from "Wallie-World" and achieved similar results! I was amazed at how fast this worked even with just a rag in the rain. $4 well spent 😂 Thank you! I can't wait to try it with an actual buffer lol

Glad I scrolled down and found this post! Though I did not have Mothers. I do have an aluminum polish. Also don't have a polisher. I did use a softer polishing wheel on my cordless with my aluminum polish. 3 minutes my daughters headlight is clear again! Thanks for a useful, simple, quick fix!

I’m very impressed! I got two questions though:
1- Will it stay for a long time? Like a year for example? If yes,
2- How many times do I need to clean up my headlights? Daily? Once every 2 weeks? Or what?

I tried alot of the headlight restorers out there. Even the ones you just use a buffer and apply it. If even used Turtle wax headlight restorer and it cleaned it up somewhat but, within a day or so it was back to how it was. I came accross this video and man I was shocked! Today I went to Advanced Auto and bought some. I didn't have a buffer or the money to spend $25 dollars on a kit so I used a new Wax buffing pad. It's not as aggressive but, it's all I had. I taped the paint around the headlight, cleaned the headlight with glass cleaner and then applied a thin coat to the headlight. Buffed the product into the headlight for about a good 2 mins and then wiped off. I had to repeat it a second time which helped immensely! When I wiped the headlight off with a microfiber towel I said " We'll I'll be damned, it worked!" Went and showed my wife and she couldn't believe it! Thank you so much for this video and every other one you have made. You have helped so many people!

Does adding the 303 UV Protectant really makes that much of a difference in making the shine last longer?
