As a teenager who played a lot of this game back when there were arcades, I'd say the Capcom bosses (Violent Ken & Shin Akuma) were the easiest route to beating this game. w/ V.Ken, all you have to do is get at least a sweep distance away from him, jump backwards to trigger his fierce DP, then punish. As w/ Shin Akuma, block everything else & wait for him to throw his jump forward double air fireball, block cancel->dash that, then punish him w/ throws. My Main complain with this Game is the roster. Capcom basically throw everyone in their games while SNK threw some few obvious popular ones with other... Questionable ones, the Game is really not that big. In total has 38 playable characters. And yes, You have Ryu, Ken, Terry, Mai, Chun Li, Iori, Kyo... Obvious choices. But later on You find characters like Choi, Kasumi, Earthquake, People From Mars, Anissa, Dan... Oh and also Violent Ken, Iori Orochi, 2 Mr. Karate and Shin Akuma (so not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 echo fighters) I mean, Capcom and SNK have some of the most iconic fighting Game characters and this line up is weak at Best. It has Hugo but no Zangief, Earthquake but no Haohmaru, Goenitz but no Rugal, Anissa but not Cammy, Dimitri but no Morrigan. Seriously who asked For that line up?
I love this game, maybe it's not the best fighting game ever gameplay wise but I find some charm in the ambientation and aesthetic that the game has. The artwork for victory screens and cinematics is badass.

this game is jank. it was almost good but it's jank. but i still enjoy watching others play it. not to mention, the comic. oh yes, there is a SVC graphic novel.
I really love this game, I think the reason people hate it is because they wanted it to be the next evolution to CVS. But chaos is just it's own think. Love the character roster and endings are rewarding once you get them. Pretty good for a company on the verge of bankruptcy
Not sure why but that secret boss heaven stage always gives me the creeps. I can never stop staring at the light that’s supposed to be God. Just gives me the creeps for some reason.
I'm very happy Justin Wong got Orochi Iori & Serious Mr Karate as his bosses. Maximilian on the other hand played SVC CHAOS arcade 4 times and always got Violent Ken & Shin Akuma as his bosses
This game is the one where throws cost meter right? that's so whack lol, still a classic for me though, I remember playing it a lot on Kawaks as a kid.
personally, I think SVC Chaos is one of the best game SNK has ever made. the game is just so fun but the boss is insanely difficult, just like every other KOF game.
SVC Chaos is notoriously known as SNK's true input read game. They will ABUSE the hell out of i-frames while input reading you. Example, look at a lot of Serious Mr. Karate's attacks that Justin was fighting (a lot of the zooms by the editor). He gets HUGE priority on a lot. Violent Ken is the same (I'm a V-Ken main; Zero Secondary; Terry Pocket) with invul frames. Serious Mr. Karate is difficult but Shin Akuma is actually worse. Of the secret midbosses, Goenitz is annoying for zoning, Dan is easiest (hardest to fight). Red Arremer is the hardest of the Secret Bosses. Had Justin won a round with Chip, he would have took on Arremer instead of Athena. It's hated for how broken it is (Max Mode combos can usually knock off about 60% Health or more based on character), little to no charge time on charge moves (AI abuses the shit out of this - As seen with Terry Mirror with Rising Tackle, Guile abuses the hell out of it more ESPECIALLY with Super) and V-Ken/O-Iori can be cheap if they want. O-Iori was TRYING on Justin input reading with DP every Jump he made and almost pulled a Max Mode combo on him which alternates DP, Command Grab, DP, Command Grab, DP, CG for 4 reps finishing with DP and that's 55% life gone. S-Mr. Karate did the DP loop 5 times on him in the video...it CAN be worse; 3 DP loops followed by Tatsu to DP (60% life gone minimum)... That's part of the reason why.
You didn't get the Capcom ending with Shin Akuma and Red Arremer, you got the SNK ending. Violent Ken as sub-boss=Capcom ending. Orochi Iori as sub-boss=SNK ending. You should try it.
11:14 the lighting of this fight is so cool, such a neat snk detail to have the lighting as if they’re backlit

His face of shock when Orochi Iori Dp'd through his super lol. He was so shocked even his other neck had to look 😭
I remember playing this in my local mall arcade the control is very off from CvS2 and the maxed level difficulty on the machine did not helped very unpleasant 😢
Wtf did he just say this game was bad???? This was my shit back in the day at the arcade. I remember when it came out on OG xbox and picked it up first Day. Had quite a few friends that. Came over to my first apartment and play it alld night.
this game is jank. it was almost good but it's jank.
but i still enjoy watching others play it. not to mention, the comic. oh yes, there is a SVC graphic novel.
I still remember playing this arcade back in the day, it was nightmare playing like $5 or $6 just to try to beat Mr Karate was an odyssey.
It took me HOURS to even get ONE round off Goenitz, let alone get a hit on himat the arcade and JW over here took him out in seconds 😂
12:16 SO CLOSE!
Play some 3D fighters: Tekken, Rival Schools, Bushido blade, Bloody Roar.
They suck compared to 2D fighters.
star gladiator
@@YourCreepyUncle. they really do. ARC SYS is carrying the torch CAPCOM carried thru the golden age of 1994-2000
A cara do justin Wong para o momento 11:15 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mano eu rachei nessa parte lol
I really love this game, I think the reason people hate it is because they wanted it to be the next evolution to CVS. But chaos is just it's own think.
Love the character roster and endings are rewarding once you get them.
Pretty good for a company on the verge of bankruptcy
Not sure why but that secret boss heaven stage always gives me the creeps. I can never stop staring at the light that’s supposed to be God. Just gives me the creeps for some reason.
If you can handle Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, you can handle SNK vs Capcom Chaos
Very different games... And only CvS2 is good.
@@carlosaugusto9821 different games, but they both have same BS Boss Shenanigans
what is that "sube sube sube!" sound effect from lol i laugh everytime i hear it
Thanks for being awesome at fighting games and making all this content. For what it's worth, I think you're better than Daigo.... As a person. Peace
14:00: leave the joystick you gonna die
I'm very happy Justin Wong got Orochi Iori & Serious Mr Karate as his bosses. Maximilian on the other hand played SVC CHAOS arcade 4 times and always got Violent Ken & Shin Akuma as his bosses
You can't lose a match otherwise you get the bad ending which leads to shin akuma I believe
11:20 That close up is priceless.
What is that anime clip from in the beginning when Terry gets REKT?
"We are going to 1 credit this"... I laughed so hard :D
This game is the one where throws cost meter right? that's so whack lol, still a classic for me though, I remember playing it a lot on Kawaks as a kid.
SvC Chaos is such a fun game though!
"Mr. Karate, is a grand master! However, I wonder if you will play SVC on Expert mode!"🤣🤣
That was a great comeback vs secret boss
personally, I think SVC Chaos is one of the best game SNK has ever made. the game is just so fun but the boss is insanely difficult, just like every other KOF game.
I really don't understand why people dislike this game so much. It is difficult but that aside I found it to be fun
At the time, people just said it was stupidly broken.
Because it's worse than Kof's. The game shouldnt have so many issues for that release period. Snk wasnt an amateur company...
It wasn't a SNK game, but a SNK Playmore game, there's a huge difference in quality.
Que nostalgia me trae este, juego y pensar que yo pase el final oculto con todos los personajes T-T
