@@the_jolly_reno Just watched the kitchen one - amazing! I’ve now got kitchen envy. Mind you if something was wrong with your freezer you could have had ‘little Jonny frostbite, moving around, freezing you up, freezing you down - like an icicle!’
As a domestic sparky in the west midlands 4k is optimistic for a very bog-standard, white plastic accessories finish. So that 8k price for all the extra bits is about right, so don't feel like you got ripped off.
So many, including a huge patio from the French doors, separate seating areas for catching the sun at different times of day and a jungle vibe similar to the one of our old house!
HI! The blocks were layed on the exisiting foundations of a suporting wall next to it. Defintely wouldnt' lay them straight onto the boards. The main reason ours was blocked up using blocks is becasue it had to support the beam that went in when we knocked through kitchen/diner. If its just blocking up a door way you can plaster board it.
Loved the video guys. Did you have any trade experience before deciding to go for the big renovation? We're hopefully moving tonour renovation project soon.
That’s great to hear thanks you! I (John) am a gardener/landscape gardener so quite practical but we are both not afraid to have a go. Like plastering and sorting out our bouncy floors was all a first time for us. We are fortunate also that Molly’s step dad has a lot of experience so anything we were unsure of we asked him and also looked on UA-cam! Good luck with your renovation, is it a big project?
@@the_jolly_renosounds like you have that can do attitude which goes along way 👍 it's a 3 bed bungalow, it's not been touched in about 25 years so pretty dated. Got plans to knock a couple of walls out to make a kitchen/diner like you have.
Is a bit mad isn’t it?! Since the video went out the electrics are finished and it came in just under 7k. This was full rewire, we had lots of extras though including over mirror lights in the gym and all the rooms needed more sockets, there was only about 1 in each room prior, new consumer unit, upgrade to 13amp fuse etc. We didn’t accept the cheapest quote nor was it the most expensive.
@@the_jolly_reno I guess times change quickly. I rewired my whole house in 2010 for £1800. All I had to do for them was chase the walls and get the ceiling down.
Not yet.. about 50% there, it’s not a property flip and we both work full time so limited to evenings and weekends. It will be our forever home so worth the grind 😁
Done a great job. Genuinely, you guys should be on TV. I would binge the daylights out of that.
Wow 😀 thank you so much! Massively appreciate that, wouldn’t that be the dream 😃
Nice mix of renovation & entertainment there - hold the door 😄. Great job so far!
That’s perfect just what we hoped 😀! Thank you so much
Bouncy, bouncy…fantastic work, love the creativity and the skills.
.....oh such a good time...thank you so much! ☺️

Thanks so much for this, its always good to hear from someone in the trade 😊. It ended up at just over 7k in the end and he did a fantastic job.
I now need to go check if there's a video just on the kitchen. Looks great from the sneak peek here!

What did you use to remove your wall paper
Hi! We used a wallpaper stripper/steamer which worked really well for us!
Great video!
Please can you tell me where the gold panel behind the bed is from?
Thank you 🙌😃. We made it with gold leaf, you can see how on our bedroom makeover video here ua-cam.com/video/4TaHvDux3fc/v-deo.htmlsi=Jolx5ctrIHbrKNJJ
It is looking good. Have you a special room for Dexter? Dave and Ann
Thanks Dave and Ann! Nothing planned yet but maybe there should be! Watch this space...😃
Loved it any plans future plans for the garden?

hi when you blocked up the old door opening to your kitchen, do you lay the blocks of the boards or the ground under them?, im learning thanks

ahhh nice, we looked at a few bungalows before this place, always great potential! Good luck and I'm sure you will do a great job 💪
you 2 are vloody hilarious.
😃😆😅 So glad you think so!! New video coming this evening!
If you give the trade a hand it normally costs more!
Especially with our knowledge on electrics 😅, can just about manage changing a lightbulb.
Beam in kitchen didn’t have fire rated plasterboard on it?
Yes it did, we had BC out and all passed.
£8000 for a spark if absolutely mental

Wow yeh labour cost alone is so much more now!
Have you not finished yet?
