The Vauxhall Omega was my favourite series. An underappreciated car, and I thought it was pretty brave to drive all the way to Germany, lap it several times, and drive home again, I know you've done it several times before and since, but that was the first one I saw.
I liked it!! I’ve been here since the start and enjoyed all the videos in different ways. Everyone needs a slice of Ben in their life… proper decent fella … keep it up mate!!
The stickers ought to come with a square of pink rock hard bubble gum that looses it's flavour within about 30 seconds, for the authentic 70s sticker book experience
@@martinmountford3281 haha, love this, it’s brought back many memories. I used to collect Garbage Pale Kids stickers with that bubblegum inside 😆👌🏻 Classic 😆😆
Stumbled over your channel just a week ago. Absolutely love your channel! Now watching from your first videos to present day and the content is right up my street. Purchased Tasty Classics car window sticker which is now on my daily driver. Keep up the fantastic work👍
I'm still watching some of them but so far my 3 faves are the TT, the Triumph Vitesse and Saab 94. I love your vids and am still having the greatest time watching those I've still not seen.
I'm a bit of a strange person, I enjoy the workshop videos and learning how you do stuff. So my (recent), favourite would have to be the Rascal, seeing all your hard work and the details behind the process was fascinating. Keep up the good work!
Brilliant channel!!! I quite often rewatch a lot of your videos. I loved the Rover 800, Allegro and Cortina content. Keep the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s gems coming….the ordinary cars of yesteryear. Oh and my top 3 cars of the channel… Rascal Cortina Spitfire….in that order. Keep up the excellent work.
The Allegro VDP and Ambassador were the first two I watched. Its because of these two videos I started watching you videos but it inspired me to start my own project, a MG Midget, it made me realise that I just needed to get stuck in and have a go, I love it. I even started my own Instagram account just for it. My favourite is the P4 , I love the retro race look. I listen to your pod cast with Wings and Wheels whilst working on my MG, its really interesting. Looking forward to seeing you rally or race the 205.
Great vid Ben, as always, I really like the wider context vids alongside the 'action' ones, but see not to everyone's taste...how anyone cant appreciate 30mins of a grown man filling up a sticker book I cant fathom! 😂 On favourite vids, really difficult, like choosing your favourite child (usually best kept to yourself in my experience)..the two that stick out for me are the Austin 1300, partly because i had a knackered one to tinker on as a 13 year old...never got that going either, but learnt loads by taking bits apart and trying to put them back together again. But for sheer persistence, particularly in getting it out of the garden it has to be the rover P6 rescue...loved that one. Thanks for all the entertainment (and knowledge share), looking forward to everying to come in 2025. 👍
Favourite resurrection videos if i had to choose. 1] P4 (first video i found you on) and great back from the utter dead stage, 2] Vitesse, personal favourite classic. 3] Spitfire (for the body work stuff). 4. TT particularly the Nürburgring trip. 5]. XJS for the fault finding and never giving up. 6] The P6, proper made me laugh trying to get it out of the back garden in the mud. Just good to watch and i learn stuff.
I enjoyed the 'general roundup' format Ben. It also reminded me of some things I'd forgotten about. My top fives would be... Cars: 1) Panhandle, 2) P4, 3) 205, 4) Truck, 5) New one under the car cover (...gives smug Patreonaire smile 😉) Resurrections: 1) Panhandle, 2) P4, 3) VDP, 4) Vitesse, 5) Scimitar (I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it until you mentioned it!) To be honest, I could easily have put the Ambassador and the P6 resurrections in slots 4 and 5, or 5 and 4. It's only a game isn't it? 🤨
Bono Estente Ben! Nice change of pace video, with some considered background info that I think many of us avid viewers appreciate! With regards to my top 3 resurrections, mine would be: 3: eth eth eth eth eth eth Chris Waddle - Ambassador 2: sminki pinky - Rascal 1: Scorchio - Rover P4 Thanks Ben 👍
Your list is what I love about car people, we all love cars but we all have our opinions on what’s best. For me 1. Truck 2. Panhard 3. P4 4. 205 5. Focus. But that can change once the capri is up and running 😂
My favourite resurrection was the 190, I was looking for one at the time and stumbled across your post & have been hooked ever since. The Austin VP was a fantastic journey and quite touching to see the car reunited. I’ve only got room in my garage for two cars so it would be the ST for every day use & P4 for weekend tinkering.
one of my favorite tasty classic moments was a video that wasn't mentioned in either top 10 list. It was the pita! the moment when you discovered the firing order was wrong. that moment when the engine started running smooth was fantastic!
Reverse light is a requirement on vehicles first registered 1st of September 2009 and later. Your Range Rover was registered on the 4th of September 2009. So it would have, if tested correctly, failed on that. (THREE DAYS!!) But it looks like it either wasn't tested correctly, or the light worked when checked. Happy days! Buy your MOT tester a pack of chocolate hobnobs! (Sorry for being nosey!) 😂
The bulb probably failed just after the test ;) lol, you know what bulbs are like work one minute fail the next. After all an MOT is only really valid while the vehicle was on the ramp.
Hi Ben .. My top 5 would be.. in 5th place it has to be 911 .. in 4th place the the Truck ..in 3rd place the Capri.. in 2nd place definitely the Cortina.. and in 1st place..has to be for several reasons.. the Rascal..because the passion you dedicated your time with and getting it back and now it’s a company vehicle and it should always be a reminder of what you started with at the beginning of the channel.. it’s like a family member.. anyway hope you stay safe and we will look forward to seeing more of your content.. thanks Ben .. Tony the carer in Fakenham Norfolk.. bye the way if you want to give me the capri or cortina or the rascal please let me know.. they are amazing and my child hood favourites 👍❤️👍
Can't wait to see more on the rally car. I rebuilt an old rally Dodge Omni GLH this year (few videos on my channel). Tons of rust repair! You helped me feel better about just getting it patched up, not to worry if it wasn't perfect. Will hit the road with it this spring as soon as the winter snow and salt is gone.
Love the Cortina because my dad had a red 1.6 mk4 saloon when I was a kid and it reminds me of it. I had an Escort with that engine as my first car also.
Awesome, Ben enjoyed that ,something different ,still very entertaining 👌.... A change is as good a rest ... take care matey and it's the Panhard for me 👍 did that car ever have the centre grill light 🤔
Hi Ben I was hooked onto your channel with the Austin Princess revival When you found the not from the original owner saying he wanted it restored I lost it 😢 And I've lived everything you've done since Thanks for reviving my love of all things vehicle My favourite car in the fleet is the capri 😊
My Top 5! 1. Reliant Scimitar (Dream car of the era is a Jensen Interceptor but..poor mans porsche?) 2. Porsche 924 (Brought me to the channel, love me a 944! One was in the family circle) 3. Jaguar XJS (If insurance didn't exist..this would be the lady for me!) 4. Vauxhall Cavalier 2000GL/Triumph Spitfire (Cavvy for the story, Spitfire for the resto work) 5. Toyota MR2/Rover Ferarri MX5 (MR2 is a bucket list car, as is the MX-5..as well as splashing almost £100 on tickets for it..whoops!)
Interesting line-up, Ben, here's my selection: 1. Truck, 2. Focus, 3. Capri, 4. 205, 5. 911. The potential of the 205 is immense, so it may rise rapidly after you've shown us a bit more...
My favourites are the fords as i am a big ford fan, i am a more modern classic person but i still love all of your content, i do like an old vauxhall as well and loved the nova episode, maybe one day we will get a cavalier or a calibra 🤔 maybe one with a red top turbo in it ha, but i love the channel ben and its good to see all these cars being saved from the bone yard, cheers for the shop update 👍🏻
Hi Ben Great round up of the year, not so interested in the stickers - I couldn't get into them when I was a boy now I'm 70 bit of a yawn! However I love the channel, & You are entitled to your hobbies. as for my top five videos No.5 the Rover P6 rescue out of the hedge No.4 The Cute Vanden Plas Allegro N0.3 the genius way you transformed the Scruffy Spitfire No.2 Your dogged determination to make the Vitesse live again No.1 when the viking roared again The P4 your face was pure joy!
I’ve been binge watching all your videos over the past 3-4 months your pretty local to me too 😊 me and my dad just watched the allegro episode as my dad had a orange one 37 years ago and the wheel fell off on the motorway 😂 keep up the good work man!! 🙏🏽👌🏾
I’m new to the channel and I love the fact it’s not crash damaged overpriced out of reach cars. My top five would be 1. Focus, 2. Capri, 3. F250, 4. Granada, 5. Cortina. Can you see a theme 😂. Thank you
Hi Ben, loving the length of the video. The XJS story was awesome and I wish Will every success. My top 5 Cars from the list would be at No5 Cortina, No4 Capri, No3 Focus No2 Spitfire, No1 911 (Dream Car is a 911 SC) My Top 5 resurrections - No5 Mini 1275 (1400) GT, No 4 '77 1500 Spitfire, No3 MR2 G-Limited, No2 Capri, and at No1 it has to be (for me) The Triumph Vitesse 6...
Ben such great channel. Wish I had a garage again miss the old days of rebuilding my RS2000, used to go to Demon Tweak's not Sure if it is still down your way. Entered the raffle so might get to meet you and your workshop. Cheers Paul.
The Jaaaag episode was my first and I’ve since watched all of the rest. Currently the best channel on UA-cam. I love the feature length format. Thank you for providing a much needed distraction during some pretty dark times.
Good catch up content Ben. Nice to know what’s happening with the fleet and to see things like the XJS taking the route it is going. Oh and thanks for getting the TT ready for me to collect!! 😉😆😆 (Seriously though, good luck to all entrants in the raffle! 👍)
What seems like a slow puncture might actually be porous alloy wheels especially those you have. I know from it happening to both TTs Ive had. good luck and hope you dont need to re laquer your wheels!
You should do the meet up at Rimmers... Then it'd be a very short trip for me! 😉😂 I was playing Merge Cat Cafe, I'm somewhat addicted to it. It's ten to five in the morning!
It may give my age away, but I’m hearing the Too if the Pops music as you’re doing the rankings. Also I thought it only was me that called them Disco Verys.
Another great video! Can’t wait to see the new cars on the channel and what you do with them! Would also love to see some sort of Volvo on the channel at some point. Feel like that would be great content too
Purely content wise , personal top 5 choice on the available stock 1 Capri 2 Cortina 3 Peugeot 205 4 Rover P4 5 Porsche 911 This is just my thoughts. Great video Best regards Shaun
I have a neighbour Ben who has a P4 sitting on their driveway and covered in a sheet. They also have an 03 BMW 3 series soft top, old style Range Rover and a TVR sitting unused in the garage. Don't think they will ever get touched.
Loved the Vauxhall Nova. Wish you could've saved it but I understand with the amount of welding and panel work needed. Just way to time consuming. Maybe another will come along.
I have fond memories of the Ambassador because UA-cam suggested I watch it and I initially thought "Who is this Weirdo ?" but about 5 minutes in I made the 'conscious' decision to carry on watching so.... Obviously it's not 'your' best effort as 'they' keep getting better as 'you' get better ! so thank you, it's been Wild !
Hi Ben. The videos I mostly enjoy are the ones when you resurrect a car that’s been sat for years , but has a chance of getting back on the road again. Probably the Rover P4 and the Jaguar XJS are my favourite ones. The cars you filmed in wales great video, but the Austin was never going to go back on the road again. Great channel probably my favourite car channel. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
The restorations that I enjoy the most are the 60’s and 70’s Leyland cars. It’s nice to see the very sad, very cool and slightly ugly Austin’s and things being dragged out from the abyss. Unfortunately they don’t seem to survive very often, but it makes the video more valuable to my mind. It turns the video into the last little bit of exposure before the inevitable end. I like the end of year review video too. It’s nice to stand back and see what’s happened some times.
Hi Ben. Buy the steering wheel buttons and you'll be able to have cruise control on the disco. Agree however the autos are way better. I love my discovery and the more I use it the better it gets.
I loved the Panhard and the Rover P4 videos the most. Just because the Panhard is so weird and the Rover because it was probably destined for scrap or banger racing. It was also my introduction to Tasty Classics. I know you hate the welding but I find those bodywork restorations more interesting than mechanics. That said, I'd love to see you fit modern mechanics into the parts Panhard. Probably never would happen as it would be a huge project.
This video is different from the usual stuff, hence some of the complaints, but for me it was a great, felt like we were getting some behind the scenes access. Felt personal and like a chat with Ben.
Just looking at the rusty underside of the Discovery.. have you considered using something like Lanoguard? I'd be interested to know if it works.. (not that rust is an issue for me, I drive Audi A2s..)
love the content ben personally the top 5 for me would be granada, 205, cortina, capri, rover p4 the classic styling of them are amazing the classic cars are still epic all round
Got to vote the Capri as my favourite seeing as I own a black Capri myself, closely followed by the Cavalier as my first car was a 2.0 GL mk1 Cav,I did loads to it including fitting a carburettor off of a 3.0S Ford Capri, absolutely drank the fuel but didn’t half shift 😂
For me it's Capri, Cortina, P4, Spitfire & the triple threat. I debated between the 205 and the Rascal, but the razzie just has that bit more character for me at the moment. I'd say probably the same for their respective videos too. Glad to see the XJS is staying in the family, would be great to have a follow up once he's done a bit to it.
Loved the 1300 (ADO16) discovery and attempted rescue. Was so bummed when it turned out to be way too far gone (they were certainly famous for dissolving of course). I grew up with these cars, as my parents had 3 in a row “back in the day”. The last of them became my first car - a very late 1973 Wolseley 1300 MK2 in Mallard Green. Wish I still had it today! Would love it if you ever find another ADO16 to rescue (there was a Wolseley in a recent video - hint, hint 😅)
My top 10 Ben is 1, Panhard 2, p4 3, Cortina 4, Capri 5, P6 6, vitesse 7, mini 8, spitfire 9, Cavalier 10, 205 This is because I'm an old git too lol. I have a Renault Megane 2005 i,4 16v i got this in 2008 i was working on the brake s did the front then had heath issues and never got to the back so not driver for 4 years This is the best channel i always look forward to the next video I have had many a laugh love the sense of humour Stay safe and get a four poster i cringe sometimes watching the two post wobble, creek, and lower itself. All the very best for 2025 🙏❤🚗
Great Video Ben, as always 👌🏻. It’s great to have these updates as it’s been, what feels like, a short while since the last one. Just an idea for the next sticker album, you could have a feature spread showcasing viewer cars. Get them to send pictures in of their Tasty Classics and pick your favourites. I loved the Austin 1100 video, I think that was one of my favourites, along side the Rover 25 😆. I also loved the Ford Focus video 👌🏻 Keep up with the exceptional channel. Looking forward to the next instalment ✊🏻❤️
1. 911, 2. Capri, 3. Spitfire, 4. Focus, 5. 205, 6. Cortina, 7. Truck, 8. Rascal. Any order you like with the rest, I'm not so bothered. I appreciate you using the names the manufacturers chose, nothing makes my tits itch more that people naming their cars and giving them a gender. Thanks for the constant stream of top content.
Got to say I have a discovery 3 and they are a great car and very versatile. They do cost to run and maintain but worth it (HSE Automatic with cruise control 😉)
Entered the raffle for my lad ben hopefully see you again soon 😂
Great to meet you mate!
@tastyclassics great to visit felt very welcomed and even better driving back in the porsche
The Vauxhall Omega was my favourite series. An underappreciated car, and I thought it was pretty brave to drive all the way to Germany, lap it several times, and drive home again, I know you've done it several times before and since, but that was the first one I saw.
XJS story is brilliant, thats what this is all about and a hat tip to you Ben for you're part in the story
That's spot-on..We used to call it 'Chuddy'.
Hahah I will look into it!
@@martinmountford3281 haha, love this, it’s brought back many memories. I used to collect Garbage Pale Kids stickers with that bubblegum inside 😆👌🏻 Classic 😆😆
Tasty classics fake tattoos 🤔😉
Top 3……Cortina, Capri, Spitfire.

Love the relaxed feel of this video. Some nice facts and figures! Keep going Ben you'll be getting your 100k silver play button soon enough!
Dicky is a riot. We need more of him.
I’m gutted the Jag has gone. I was really looking forward to seeing the cat come back to life 😤
This one also liked the XJS the most, by far! Considered supporting the channel especially due to that - waiting for some new favorite to turn up!

P4 is top of both lists for me!!
Reverse light is a requirement on vehicles first registered 1st of September 2009 and later.
Your Range Rover was registered on the 4th of September 2009. So it would have, if tested correctly, failed on that. (THREE DAYS!!)
But it looks like it either wasn't tested correctly, or the light worked when checked. Happy days!
Buy your MOT tester a pack of chocolate hobnobs!

My fave video is the scimitar really enjoyed the roadtrip in it and the cans of lacquer lol
Looking forward to Capri V. Bring on February 2025. My top three restorations are: 1. Ford Capri, 2. Reliant Scimitar, 3. Porsche 924.
I am sorry to say that I am not hardcore, I thought I was :) That 40min sticker book thing at the end, I lasted 5 minutes.
Feel like that would be great content too
Don’t really care what your videos about I just like watching you do your thing to be honest.
Purely content wise , personal top 5 choice on the available stock
1 Capri
2 Cortina
3 Peugeot 205
4 Rover P4
5 Porsche 911
This is just my thoughts.
Great video
Best regards Shaun
My top 5 off your list----1, Capri 2, Truck 3, Cortina, 4, Focus 5, Rove P4
I changed the wheel but no one has been able to code it so far 😩
Bought 4 raffle tickets and posted to fb. Good luck everybody
Didn’t NEV change a clutch on his Disco using axle stands? You can do it ginge 😊
I'm looking at getting an outdoor mobile ramp to make jet washing underneath easier then yes definitely
Very enjoyable…. I look forward to all your videos they’re a bit like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.👌
I much prefer the feature-length videos, the focus and TT are my favs. Great channel Ben.
love the content ben personally the top 5 for me would be granada, 205, cortina, capri, rover p4 the classic styling of them are amazing the classic cars are still epic all round
1 the 911, 2 Focus, 3 the truck, 4 the capri and 5 the rover or Aston Martin lol 😂 most interesting to watch for me Ben 👍🏻
Thanks for your integrity. I bought a car freshener. It stopped smelling of grass but I think it's niche enough to be cool.
I'd have had the Moggy traveller as 2nd with the Ford truck as 1st.
I'd love to see you get your hands on a Mercedes W114/115 or a W123 one-day?
A w114 track car would be a dream 😩😩😩
Thanks Ben and just to let you know I’m looking forward to the Capri
The Capri brought me here. Binge watched then every weekend after.
That was a great video, very entertaining, look forward to next 1,

Brilliant video......great roundup of content and well presented as always.
TT is a great car. I have this version and colour in the 225. Good luck to those entering.
I’m in the raffle, hopefully I’ll be successful and a family member in the UK will be picking it up! I’ve always loved that TT.

I also loved the Ford Focus video 👌🏻
Keep up with the exceptional channel. Looking forward to the next instalment ✊🏻❤️
I love that idea maybe hold a competition for a viewers car page, I will write that down!
Great vids, very entertaining. Thanks Ben
Nearly 100k subscribers!! Well done Ben.
Got to say I have a discovery 3 and they are a great car and very versatile. They do cost to run and maintain but worth it (HSE Automatic with cruise control 😉)
Showing off! 😂
