Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- I bought this 1975 Ford F250 sight unseen from an estate sale. Prior to the sale the truck had been parked of the road for over two decades. I'm going to see what it takes to start it, get it on the road, and attempt to drive it home!

My wife was listening to this video as she was working in the kitchen. I said to her, “I never would have thought I’d ever reach the point where I prefer to watch a guy working on an old truck in a cow pasture over watching a movie." But here I am, completely enthralled by the entire process, hoping against hope that you’ll somehow get it running and get back home. And it happens every week, over and over. Many thanks to you and Jessica for all the hard work you put into this channel. I thoroughly enjoy it!
💯👍
Can't wait to see that bad boy get the pressure washer!
Thanks a ton!
Damn right!
Same here. This is the only channel that my wife will hang out and watch with me. I love it because that means no romantic comedy as a 'compromise' over something I want to watch.
Derrick, Thank you for this fantastic video today. Long story short, my father in law passed away before COVID, his f150 …. With only 63,000 original miles has been sitting for at least 12 years. I wasn’t able to drive anymore. As I lived out of state and retired, I moved back to Oregon last year. The truck is sitting in his yard, has a canopy/cap on it, but it isn’t running. I put a battery, in it…it turns over…..this video, will be used with my 15 year old grandson this spring to get Grand Pop’s truck back on the road.
Fingers crossed you mysteriously receive a care package in the mail.
That's what it's all about!
Sounds like a great project! Good luck with it
@ I ordered off the internet one of those metal model engines to teach him how an engine works. ….. piece by piece as we assemble it….then a quick lesson on the ignition system…. Then make a plan of process to get it fired up. Your video will be involved. I so appreciate this
Do it! Do it! What a great project.
I find it funny when I can sit here and watch a Guy spend 25 mins going thru old junk, rusty cans, junk in the cab and bed, and find it more entertaining than anything, above anything else on television. Love Vice Grip Garage. Keep em coming. I wouldn't mind it if they even longer than 2 hours a show.
Very much appreciated!
No holly wood woke indoctrination here, just reality
I agree!
I'll watch this any day instead of a movie 👍
I was O'Reilly's this weekend to buy a battery. I told the very young man working there that I wanted a battery with a "Go handle."
He had no idea what I was talking about. Kids these days.
"Crows are circling me. Somehow they always know" LOL!!!!! Please, for the love of Grade 8 hardware, please don't ever change, sir. You are a national treasure, Derek!
Appreciate it!
@@ViceGripGaragewill you be selling this rig? I'm interested in it 😊
Hey Derek, thank you for this brake line demo because my sister’s late husband left behind a 87 Suzuki Samaria with 35” tires he used for trail rides. It’s been sitting a bit minute and has a lot of rust build up now. Got it running but surprise surprise!!. No brakes. Pretty sure everything will need to be replaced but at least I can get things off with snapping anything. Your videos inspire a lot of people to get out there and work on old and new things. You’re a good feller. God bless! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Off topic but are ypu gonna be at the ranger danger 9000 this year?
agreed....lol grade 8 hardware is good and so is god so he'll forgive me for stealing that..
Anyone else’s soul refreshed whenever Derek says “DRINK UP, LITTLE BUDDY!!”
lol its on my drink list obviously right above "il'l be dipped" and right under "help me understand". its the only double drink on the list besides "that's factree"
Need to be a shirt with some cold snacks on it 😂

Your colour doesn’t matter brother. A white guy from Toronto I’m 69.👍👍🇨🇦
black, blue, green or orange..... color dont matter my friend.... 49 yr old fom Milton, ONT

HOME OF THE BIG NICKEL!!!! LONG LIVE INCO!!!
This was my dad's truck growing up. Loved it, 75, orange. Canopy and a camper. So many good years in that thing.
Just bought a ‘72 f250 with 360 4 speed. Engine locked up. Water in oil. Rusted spark plug in one cylinder. Water sitting on top of piston in 2 back cylinders. Broke her loose, Cleaned the spark plugs, got water out of cylinders, and damn if she didn’t start. Changed the oil and drove it. Runs good. And it’s ALL thanks to watching you, Derek. No way would I have done this without watching your videos.
That's awesome, glad I could help!
Between Vice Grip & Jennings Motors one can get anything to run//drive
@@givemeabreakdoc Awesome 😎
Derek I’m a die hard Ford guy. I want thank you for braving through these old Ford’s for us Ford guys! And I still watch every video every week from start to finish no matter the brand! Thanks again your show is the best!

Exactly!
I got my hands on a 78 f250 390 fe automatic needs a lot of work but it's mostly just finding a bed and the entire front end along with replacement cab and Rocker panels also touch up the frame with some rust treatments and spray it with some oil based undercoating spray. It'll be one beauty of a truck being white on blue and blue chromatic decals on the cab pilers. 73k miles on the odometer
90 percent of the Fords are still on the road, the other 10 percent made it home.😊
Thanks to this guy I was able to put all new brakes in my 83 grand marquis
Every time he opens the door to check out the interior cracks me up his reaction is priceless
"It's like a jewelry box, full of varnished fuel and old divorce papers... it's really emotional," 🤣😂
those moments are like vintage entertainment wrapped in heart warming amuricana thats been soaking in comic gold for 6.2 days
Oofta!
One of my favorite parts has always been the description of the smell of the interior. Never change, Derek.
Derek, last year was a hard one to endure year ago last Dec. lost a grandson in law to cancer, last Jan I started Chemo thru March, last Jan my husband of 40 years had a stroke lost him in May, June started radiation for a month, as of today I am cancer free for 3 months and all thru that I was able to count on you being there every Friday. I revived a 71 f100 because of your old ford videos. Its not perfect but back on the road. Thanks for all the tips.
Glad to hear it!
You don't know how it makes a old country girl's heart smile to see you wake these old Fords up. I grew up with shade tree mechanics that only run Fords. And I helped em work on them. Just didn't know you could work on em without saying a few cuss words! Thanks for all the hard work you do to entertain us!
Thanks Pam!
When I was 12 a farmer friend taught me how to drive a small Mazda truck with a 4 cylinder.. Later that year he bought a brand new F250 identical to this one. I thought I was so grown up when I turned 13 and he allowed me to drive the F250 in the field! Such fond memories of That farmer and that truck. Thanks Derek! 🙏👍
I have a similar fond memory .. Alan Jackson's song, Daddy let me Drive always takes me back to those days too
@@jeffreebailey4464 I was in college, riding with my dad, first time I heard that song and I teared up.
It lightens my heart every time I watch you put an old vehicle back on the road. I have my dad’s 1971 Ford F250 camper special in my backyard. My daughter was driving it back in the early 2000’s and bent a rod. She tore into the motor with no real knowledge and hit a wall. She was in the Coast Guard at the time so life got in the way and now it sits in my backyard. I’d love to see it back on the road. My folks camped all over the place. Great memories.
Those cans are Ensure Meal replacement shakes. They used to come in cans like that with pop tabs. My Grandfather drank them religiously 10:56
❤
Yep, says shake well on top of the cans! I've drank quite a few of them myself, still do just now they're in plastic bottles.
Omg!!! ❤❤😂😂🎉🎉
I recall decades back the only two products available were Ensure and Boost and the hospital I was in used Ensure. I learned in my teens their value and as a father when my kids were growing up and getting all sorts of fun coughs and vomits as kids do, these really worked to keep their energy and health up when any other regular foods just turned them green. They are fast absorb so even if you down it, and throw it back up, you still win.
One had the label on it…in the truck when he found the Jack.
Love the old Ford F100 videos. My dad had several 70 F100s. He passed last May. I inherited his best one, and a sister is getting another. There's still a few we are looking to "rehome". I would love to see Derek fix one up on a show!! I'm in north Ga, Derek 😉👍
This is by far one of the best channels on UA-cam!
THE best, IMO.
definitely the best!
💯
Agreed!
Agree
Derrick I'm a full time mechanic at a smaller family owned shop. We get a LOT of cars from the local auction, and a few older vehicles from our long time customers. I've laughed so hard in the first 20 mins of this just from the shear relatability 😂. Love what you do brother 💪🦅
I wanted to let you know I have watched car shows for years and you are the one and only show my wife will watch with me..
So thank you for that..
That's great!
I was watching one of the VGL episodes when my wife came in and asked me "Are you watching him harvest hay? I thought he fixed cars?". I responded "Well, I have watched him mow grass, so..."
Same here bud. 😂
Hey Derek, I haven't made it to your solution to the "stuck in the field problem" yet.
However, someone else that reads this may find this useful when needing to tow their vehicle across town with no one to steer and use brakes. Grandpa taught me this trick, he made a living towing things on trailers.
1. get a long bit of chain, hook it to tow vehicle.
2. get a 6-8' length of drill pipe (thick walled pipe that wont bend under vehicle stopping force) and run the chain from the tow vehicle through that pipe.
3. Connect the chain to the follow vehicle's tow hooks. (preferably, you do not want to just connect to one side of the car, you want the chain to be pulling from the center of the car, not on the left or right.)
Make sure these connections are done with the screw on connections and not the hook, or it will come undone.
When you begin towing, the chain pulls tight and the pipe will float on the chain and not drag. When you need to stop, the weight of the pipe will drop the chain and the pipe will clear the underside of both vehicles the pipe will also stop/slow the follow car from hitting the tow vehicle. Also, you will be able to turn with this setup, as long as the follow car's ignition is in accessory mode - allowing the steering wheel to be unlocked.
I've used this method a couple times. If I remember right...I think the pipe we used was an actual drive-shaft.
Another 2 hour + episode...VGG is the best!
Yep. Berryman chem dip carb cleaner
Be nice if you could get it u can not same .
Yes I'm a ford man I'm 63 years old I have been driving ford since I was 10 years old I enjoy watching you get her back on the road thank you
Do you have a parts collection?
@davidgalea6113 not any more and it would have been rust free New Mexico
The USAir sticker in the rear window!! I hired on at USAir in Pittsburgh 37 years ago as a Aircraft Mechanic. Still here as an aircraft maintenance inspector, although we re American Airlines now. That decal brought back memories.
Hey Derrick, I’m a 60 yr old man and I really love watching your videos on UA-cam, my dad used to watch you also but he has passed on. Anyways watching your videos is like watching a good movie on tv, keep up the good work looking forward to many more, thanks
Boy, the Zebco 404 really hit the nostalgia button for this guy.
Me too. My twin brother Iand I got them whe we were kids back in the day
Saaaaame
One thing if we don't get rid of these wacko environmental wackos that live mainly in Calif. we won't have old carb. car's Calif is trying now to ban classic car's under NEWSOM that DEMN. anti American lefty all these new cars that are beaning made now are CRAP with all that electronic junk when that start's to go bad these car's just quit even dealers don't have the smart's to fix the only thing that's better is fuel injection
You were jealous of the guy with the 404 when you only had the 202!
the 404 was my catfishing reel
Derek, I'm a Toyota guy who drove GMCs in the 80s and 90s. Only had a couple Fords. Still I love the video. Glad to see you getting back to the stuff that made you famous.
Yes, please Derik more old ford stuff!
I just want to let you know Derek I I'm enjoying this video on a Tuesday afternoon, with Maury... 😂. Right now I'm about a little bit over an hour into the video it's going to be nice to see it run and drive.. I believe you are blessed because you are doing what you love doing. And everybody should be doing something they love doing as there occupation too. Blessings man!!
28 minutes in and I see the ignition module looks like the back has melted and leaked out . Ford man here and loyal follower here .and got my ice cold sundrop out of the fridge , awesome Friday night.
I would love to see more Fore content but to be honest I'll watch anything you do. You gave me the confidence to go rescue a 69 Ford Falcon with 34,000 original miles with a straight 6 from sitting for 16 years. I bought it and will pick it up next week. Thanks for giving some of us the confidence to do something like this.
That's so cool! Just remember to be safer about it than Derek lol
I really enjoyed the Ford content. Also I have a red 76 dent side 4x4 so there is that
Derek, you're like the Bob Ross of "will it run". Truly an Icon, and that's what I appreciates about you. :)

Friday evening, hard weeks worth of work in the rear view. The wife is jammin out in the house in a great mood. Foods in the oven and I’ve got a cold snack watching the new VGG in the garage with the wood stove belchin’. Life is good.
Don't forget to let the ole hound dog in to share the wood stove with ya.

You are so welcome!
😊 need i say more, except , thanks for all you do.
Man i knew Google listened to everything i do, but somehow Derek new i just got a 1973 F250 thats been parked up since 2003! Funny had to unfreeze the engine and rebuild the carb.....thanks Derek for the great information and videos. #8 was rusted solid. Used your mystery mix and wisdom t get her un frozen and running good again. Drove her today after a 20 year sleep! Keep up the good work and motivating the rest of us to get it done.
Had a couple whiskies so maybe I'm being overly thoughtful, but watching you go through this truck before digging into the engine felt kind of sad. Mainly because I feel like my own truck is so similar to this one. Not close by years, but by the things inside it. A bed full of fishing rods I taught my kids to fish on, a cab that I've spent hours sitting in listening to music lost in thoughts while driving over hells half acre, glove box full of items you just "never know when you might need" but never wound up needing. You're in your truck one day with your kids, then you're truck one day without your kids, then you're in your truck one day as an old man. Then one day you're not in that truck at all, and all that's left are empty cans and little souvenirs of a lifetime and a story. Funny how a truck tells the story of so many places you've been and who you were in so many little details. I hope the old boy that owned this truck caught lots of fish on those rods and drove through lots of sunsets with that visor sun blocker.
My dad has the sun visor blocker on his 2006 Honda CR-V AWD ex, unfortunately he passed away last June on the 7th
He also always ran the wizard round air bubble compass lol
Carry a 15lb capacity comfort grip telescoping magnet with you in your shirt pocket, for stuff like that lug nut or the spark plug on the floor..
Amen
The Co-op, feed store, lumberyard truck, if I ever saw one....😊❤
Derek, Another Fabulous video!! No one does it better than you do. I love seeing these old F100 F250 trucks come back to life. Please do more of them. I know you have a audience to please. But these trucks hold a special time in my life as kid growing up. I have always wanted one. Maybe life will cooperate and it could happen. Your number 1fan!
You know, i try watching some of the other videos about the world war situation and all the tarrif problems and I just skip from one to the next to the next. Then I come to my fav station, VGG, and I settle in for 2+ hours and watch Derrek bring another old soldier back to life with some hard one TLC and a few new parts and I am happy. Didn't save the world but sure did have a good time watching the progress. I think you should invite one fan per episode to help wrench assist you on these projects. I know it would make me feel like I was back home helping my dad in his garage work on his 1970 Olds Vista Cruiser doing all the stuff on it that you do to these old cars. Thanks for the good times.
So glad to get this notification, Derek.
You made a girls day!
You are very welcome!
Wow derek u r realy 💪 strong, Thank u for the nice video and hard work
Derrick. My wife and I and are kids as well as my elderly parents we really appreciate all your videos. We have watch all of them and love how you work on everything from soup to nuts from old to newer stuff. From cars to trucks to farm equipment we just love it. Please DON'T stop doing that. I grew up just a little north of were you did in North Dakota. On a farm near Avonlea, Sask. My dad was a farmer and was really good at fixing anything he put his hands on. He was a heavy duty machinery macanic and is a FORD guy from trucks to cars. He gave me his 1971 F100 Coustom years ago. The truck it has been parked for over 40 years but kept inside a shop. It hasn't ran for almost 30 years. Would like to see you work on any early 1970s FORD TRUCKS.
I've noticed a trend of others doing car rescues. Just keep doing your thing. Untouchable really enjoy your family. Keep Little Grip safe. I sent a clip to Little Grip of a car that was just cool. Hope he got it.
The old Ford trucks are always my favorite revivals! Growing up my grandfather had a 72 F100 that he restored on a budget and it was a prized possession in the family until my brother ran it without oil and threw a rod through the block... rather than replace the old 302, it got scrapped. Real tragedy... but these old Fords all have a special place in this fellers heart because bubbas old truck we grew up wrenching on. Would love to see more!
So here's the deal. All these revivals got me feeling sorry for all the work your doing on brakes and I just think you might enjoy being at home and building something fun instead. So thanks for taking a break from the revivals and making that project video you owe me. [$5.00 enclosed]
What a great week! Derek is getting a Ford pick up on the road and Freiburger is cruising around a 'new' old Chevy pick up on his channel. It is a good UA-cam channel week!

I had a 75 F250 4x4 with the big 6, manual trans, and a flatbed. It was a beast. We went for a drive in the back field in the snow and realized after getting back that we never locked the front hubs in.
I love this truck. This is the kind of rig I want my son to have for a first vehicle. Big, safe, and he can learn how to wrench on it.
That Mystery Oil, we don't know whats in it, but obviously it is Marvelous. Must be, I'm looking right at it. I so enjoy your content.
A VGG on a Friday morning!! Heck yeah!!

Another great video Derek. A guy works at the Ford Truck plant in Louisville, Ky. I started watching this video when I was at work Friday night. I’ll be dipped that I was actually working at the place where that truck you were working on was built. It was built there a little before my time, but it was cool non the less. Thanks for all of your fantastic content. I’m happy for your success. You and your family deserve it.
I can’t begin to tell you how tickled and excited this feller gets when a fresh VGG is posted on Friday night. Grab a cold snack, buckle in and enjoy the ride. You bring us such joy Derek. Literally my favorite viewing pleasure is your channel. Thank you from the bottom of this fellers heart.

Derek the sump 😊plug and oil filter located next to the cross member is designed to protect it from rust once you spill the oil onto it.
Ford thought of everything rust protection. 🤣🤣🤣
Only 10 minutes in to this wonderful, nostalgic video...could have been my dad's truck. Dad always had a compass in his vehicles.
That is awesome!
I had a truck just like that one Red and all.i was Young back then blast from the past 😅
My Dad who is 89 years now, used to use that paint can looking Berryman carburetor cleaner, it had a basket inside to soak the parts inside the can.
they still make it! ive got a can in my garage thats only about a year old! Bought it at a napa, i think
I Love every one of these bring it back to life videos. My first truck was a 72-sport custom in green paint. My dad back then couldn't believe it when I switched to chevy, lol. He was disappointed to say the least. He didn't disown me or anything, but God did I hear about it every time I pulled up in their driveway. Thats how serious those old men where about what they drove back then. Thanks again Derek for your hard work!
Very true. Some of those old timers are so dyed in the wool brand supporters that anything you say will not change their minds. I was never a true believer in any brand and own vehicles from 4 different car/truck manufacturers. They all have their good and bad points.
Outboard motor oil mix. You added one can of that with each 8 gallon’s usually
Been a huge fan for years Derek love seeing a new video pop on my home page. You inspired me to make my own trip last year and went 4 hours away to pick up a 91 camaro rs. T top v8 5 speed flavor. Took me 5 hours to get home using a quart of oil an hour (pan was loose). Thank you for all you do man really. Gave me inspiration!
I just had to sell my 77 Ford that I poured my heart in to and made it my own. Needed a down payment for a house, so she had to go. I miss it, and watching this vid makes it even harder. Grew up riding in my dad's 75 F250 2wd, and having my truck brought be right back, and my son enjoyed it as well. But as a single dad at the age of 48, family and a roof over our head is more important. Maybe some day there will be another. Another great vid Derek!
I learned to drive in a 52' Ford positive ground farm truck. For a 6 popper, it was badass. Hauled hogs in the back n trailer, horses, n chickens.
I was 14, and my brother, 12, took 19 hogs to market when dad had the flu really bad. Dad handed me the keys and said, "Take care of the hogs, son." I was so scared, but we did it! The look on the pay clerk face was funny. I handed him the note that dad gave me. He smiled and handed me the envelope and said be safe going home.
Was a 45 min drive.
Boy, I was the king of the highway...lol.
Big thing with Duraspark ignition is to use the correct grease on all connectors, even the surface of the inner fender where they bolt on, as the whole system is very sensitive to heat and resistance. The stuff acts as a dielectric compound as well as a heat sink. Ford part # D7AZ-19A331-A is the right stuff, though it can be hard to find. Still seeing some online. I love these systems, personally, strong spark and simple wiring. Yeah yeah yeah, not as simple as a GM-style one-wire distributor, which are available for Ford engines now. The issue I've found with those is that they tend to be very tall and don't allow clearance for the factory air filter. Keeping the factory ignition system and using genuine Motorcraft parts whenever available has always served me well. I will say that it's worth ditching the factory alternator with its external regulator and switching to a one-wire internally-regulated aftermarket unit, which are available pretty cheaply from places like Speedway.
What a rig. All she needs is a stout farm built pushbar on the front, some roof clearance lights, and a working CB. Shes almost ready for another 50 years of getting around.
Every time Derek hacks and coughs because he swallowed something he shouldn't, I can't help but chuckle a little because you know good and well it's coming but it's still funny.
I like these ones where a fella is takin his time.
Feels more relaxed.
You got to rip a flap off your box of High Life, or Molsen for those Canadians, and stuff it under the oil drain so it only runs one way and you keep your member clean.
*Molson
Wouldn't want to get your member all dirty.
Love the videos and content. It never gets old to see you bring back any vehicle back from the grave. Wish I had the ability you have to get the deals and adventure getting these cars/trucks home. Hopefully I can get something to tinker with when I get back from overseas. Keep it up Derek, I’m sure you help motivate tons of people.
Thank you!
2 hours and 20 minutes! I mean don't get me wrong, that means more VGG on the same day, but Moses' Sandals this is "End Game" level of "Vidjio".
I will enjoy every single minute, as always. Blip blooping just for the algorithm.
In 2013 I got a brand new Pete with a brand new APU, so I took some mystery oil and put it in both so I could be a good first owner. That next morning I woke to an oil slick about 50 feet down the side of my truck. The apu didn’t like it and it let the oil slip past the crank seals. I did not blow a seal, but I lubed one.
By me. Good set of those dinner plates bring about $500. The first vehicle I ever drove at 12 years old was my great Uncles red F250 Custom with a 360 FE and 4-speed granny low 2wd variety. I'm glad to say that 3 years ago I had an opportunity to purchase it. I still own it to this day. It will be the first truck my kids learn to drive. This video really struck a cord on the ole' heart strings. Thank You Derek!

There isn't nothing like having a few drinks after a long weeks work and watching this amazing man work his magic. Thank you my friend for bringing this old man some fine entertainment. A true treasure to all of us.
Look like Ensure cans....
I had a 1974 F250 2wd (or 1wd, as I liked to call it). The downside was it got stuck really easily. The upside was that it got stuck so easily that you never got so stuck it was hard to pull out. A lot of times, I'd get stuck on wet grass or a patch of ice in a parking lot and just put it in the super low 1st or reverse and push it out.
To answer your question about Clint Black... I hear he's just killin' time. 😎
Caught me off guard. Wasn't expecting this vidja so early, but I'll take it! "Welcome to VGG, I'm Derek" ... no introductions necessary, that would be like the Fonz introducing himself on Happy Days!
Found it! Maybe Derek should start swinging into the camera frame saying “Aaaaaayyyyyyyy!”
I’m a Ford guy really enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing.

Derek!! Those are cans of Ensure in the bed. My wife saw a half label right before you went to the cab haha. Old timer needed his vitamins to catch fish early in the morning
I've been watching Derek for years now and the comedic timing just gets better and better! Take the opening...the look, the pause and the inevitable 'nope' with a head shake. omg too funny!
And how he augments what he is saying with his fingers. As far as I know, no-one has done that before.
OMG when the light showed on the body at night! I haven’t seen that much body damage since I saw Madonna on the television last week.
At 2:07:30 hearing the frustration and watching you drive through the mud getting stuck almost immediately put a huge smile on my face being the owner of this exact truck but a 1990. Livin in a snowbank up here in canada ive been stuck on every surface imaginable with the old gal. The sound of the old windsor hasn't changed at all over the years one bit.
The heat/ juice tube nut trick on the brake lines is worth the price of admission man.
Thanks Guy.
75-79 are my favorite years of Ford trucks. Nice to see one saved
My Papa had an old 72 F250. 4 speed and he let my cousins and I learn to drive it around his farm and up and down the lonely highway out front of their place. You could stand out there for an hour and never see anyone. So he let us drive it up and down the road too.
He drove that truck everywhere, he pull up at church and get out, leaving his keys in it. My granny would get on to him for that. He’d always same, Janie, If they take this old thing, well sweetie, they needed it more than I did. Haha. He never got in a hurry and was just a good old guy. I sure miss his little pearls of wisdom.
Thank you Derek from a Montana motorhead, you are the best..
Hey don't get rid of that yard stick you know they're not making them any lonnnger.
saw the crx episode randomly and enjoyed the hell out of it! went back and watched the old plymouth and the ram episodes and now this one, am 100% hooked on this automotive bob ross, keep it up!
Appreciate the kind words, I'm glad you're enjoying the content!
Haha yes! That was the 1st one for me too!! Can't get enuf of these shows now -- thank you for your efforts, informative and entertaining content!
You have got to see his abandoned lincoln Versailles episode --- also the abandoned 1960 El Camino episode( probably the best of all ✌️
@@karlparsons2031 the lumborghini is a riot
The CRX video triggered a long buried memory of a fan belt replacement that almost took an entire shift for me to accomplish at a roadside service station in NY. 😅 never again.
New subscriber here, stumbled across road worthy rescues and here we are. Love your videos, my favorite thing ever is hearing an engine come back to life after a long hibernation no better feeling!!!
Where the hell have you been? Well that’s alright. I just discovered The Outdoor Boys channel earlier this week
Part of the entertainment comes from watching Derick digging through the parts and glove box. Great finds!
Nice job, Derek. I always liked Ford's small blocks over their big blocks, especially the 302/351 series. That truck will make a good project for somebody with a few bucks to spend.
Love it!
My 75 was a halfer, long bed, 3 on the tree, 302, white, same type of seat cover, of course. Bright light floor switch kept catching on fire.
I grew up as a Chevy guy I own a 71 C10 step side, it hasn’t run in 18 years but I’m going to work on that. You’ve given me new hope. But over the years I have fallen in love with Fords , Dodges and some AMC’s. I just want to say since I found your channel I’ve watched every video at least a half a dozen times. I’m hooked to the point I have to watch one of your videos at least once a day and i usually learn something every time. Thank you.
I love how Derrick missed the can right in front of him that said Ensure. Lol I was so happy to see this pop up. Anytime a VGG video comes out is a great day!
😂 That’s what I was thinking. Old guy was slugging a few probably daily and just tossing over that left shoulder 😂.
Yep that what they are i just Google it
I missed it too! Preciate ya!
My dad loved that stuff.
Bump to the top, since I had to scroll all the way to here to get the answer :)
my uncle still has 2 gallon jugs of berrymans carb dip on his shelf . im guessing its probably 30+ years old . he rebuilt dozens of carbs with that stuff .. I think you can still get that stuff in Mexico .
The comedy in this the comedy gets me every time in these videos I love it got to love Derek he's a unique person I mean that in a good way as well
I got a new Lego set AND there’s a fresh VVG drop. BEST FRIDAY EVER.
Is there a bigger inspiration to all of the do it yourself fellers and fellets. Doesn't care what it's like outside or inside, hot, cold, rain, snow, he just does it and with some of the most basic tools. Goes to show that guy or gal can do whatever they want if they want to do it. And Derek does it all while explaining it all, to us. What I truly love the most, you haven't changed your way's at all. Yeah, your delivery has evolved over the years but your formula remains the same and true to it's roots, that's what we love....at least I certainly do. The amount of UA-cam car repair shows I've watched then lost interest in because the program lost it's way is crazy, but not this one 👍, this one makes a Friday night laying in bed relaxing, much better.
If you could find a 78 F150 Explorer package I'd love to see it. My grandfather bought one new, and when he passed it went to my dad. I swapped the transmission in that three or four times. We dropped in a 302 from a TBird to keep it on the road. It was a hard working truck for the painting company my family had. We even went to Napa one weekend, bought a can of white paint, then rolled it on to make it good as new again.
YES on the FORD TRUCK again a F-150 in the middle 70's will work nicely.
