Saw them in Houston when I was visiting the States in the late 80s...they were inmotherfugginsane! People in the UK loved all that crap from Brit pop - I was US all the way from the moment I was present at the Pixies Doolittle tour at Manchester and the Chillis Mothers Milk tour.
What an unbelievable power these guys had. I loved all their albums, but when they played live, their music just grew legs and evolved into an absolute freight train.
Anyone find the New Year's Eve show in Chicago at the metro 1997..it was so intense my friend she almost passed out..at The metro .. due to size of the venue you are really immersed in the sound whe you are on the main floor.
