Today I’ve been working on getting things ready to pour my first ever mold. I found a gorgeous glass trinket dish at Hobby Lobby. It has a faceted lotus flower lid and a thick faceted round glass base. I probably should have picked an easier piece for my first try but, I couldn’t resist this one. Thanks for the tip about blowing out the bubbles Julie❤
Love it. I have an addiction to depression glass. I use the dishes in resin on the glass in picture frames. Creates a floating glass look. I was about to make a silicone inlay of one of the crystal dishes I have. Your video just gave me a push to go do it. Thank you for sharing. You are an absolutely amazing artist. Love everything you create.
Love all your videos Julie. Must be crazy for you to figure out new videos! I do enjoy them. You are amazing at your art. I also love learning from you nd and all the you tubers. Great job.!!!! Always look forward to seeing your videos every night
Hey Julie! How pretty is that, what a great idea! I'd think putting it in a less busy edge mold would make it stand out more. I know regardless of which one you pick, it's going to be amazing...can't wait!! Big Hugs from Texas!😊😄
I love our U.S. "thrift stores"! They always have glass dishes with "etching", like that. 50% of the time they are Christmas dishes, I imagine to give the feeling of "frosty" cold glass, for the season. Nice job, Julie! Great ideas you have!! ❤
I love them too! When I come to see family in the States, I want to get so many things, but can't fit it all in suitcase😅. The 'Thrift stores' here in France are more expensive, and of course, not the large choice we Americans are used to😮.
What a genius way of making a mold Chica! I agree with you , going to a thrift shop you can find many beautiful things to use for many things such as art as you have used it for. Very interesting way of making such a beautiful mold. 😍 ❤🎉😊
Oh I love that mold insert you made. I’m going to have to save my pennies now as I have 2 favourite flowers, Roses & Gardenias. Plus I will have to get the silicone to make some other molds. Thank you once again for sharing your work it’s very much appreciated
Oh how cool! Can’t wait to see what you do with it. And thanks for the GREAT tutorial on how to be on the lookout for things that would make a nice inlay.
How pretty !!!! The molds are absolutely beautiful & I can’t wait to see how that hibiscus one will look with that gorgeous inlay you just made . It’s going to be FABULOUS !!!! 🥰❤️🥰
I love your molds and inlays. My sunflower was pretty, but even with my vacuum chamber, I had a few bubbles. Let's resin 4 hour fast cure doesn't like me 😂😂😂
After your clock video, I was thinking it might be cool to have a clock mold with the edge mold as numbers. Does that make sense? Instead of numbers you have a turtle or flower or something. I don't want to have to wait for your next video to see you use this inlay, lol. I have absolutely no patience. It looks like this turned out really awesome. Trying to patiently wait for the next video. xoxoxooxoxoox
I'm going to try that.👍 I bought some silicone and tried making molds from some ornaments but I clearly didn't do it right, the silicone itself was lovely but I poured it wrong and couldn't get the ornaments out, I had to hack into it, ruining the mold 🥺 now I've got a load of wasted silicone 😭 x
I would like to buy one of your molds of the heart mold that you showed and the timestamp for that was 1732. I don’t know how much it was, but I don’t have much more in $10. Very very poor but I really really do like what you do I think you do it wonderful job, I watch your shows
Julie. I have a dish similar to this with the embossing on the back. I've been trying to figure out a way to mold the dish itself. I'm at a complete loss. Will you figure it out for me so I don't have to?

Wow, the Christmas "scenes" etched in plates are unlimited. There is a stunning plate of etched Poinsettias!

You are the perfect person for me to ask about making resin mold from a resin mold. Can it be done? If so how?
Awww.. beautiful.. well done! Great idea.

I think the correct word is “etched’ for that flower decoration.

Etched glass Julie.
