Brought back memories of my childhood in Detroit. There were a few neighborhood bakeries in the area. My dziadzia and I would walk to the bakery in the evening and share some warm bread on the way back. Miss those days (about 65 years ago) but the aroma is still fresh in my mind.
Dzień dobry Ania & Marek. We are drooling over here 😋 and can almost smell bread baking while watching this video. Driving through your city was a wonderful way to experience how beautiful Szczecin is. Thank you . Now I need to go bake something 🥐🥧🍰 Please stay safe & stay well during these uncertain times. ❤️🙏🇵🇱
I love your videos. I was brought up in Chicago, and never knew much about my heritage. Recently did an ancestry test and found out that I’m 97% Polish! Now it makes sense that I just naturally love many of the Polish things I see in your videos. I can’t wait to come and visit this beautiful place!
wow! I'm just discovering your channel and even though you're still relatively small, I can see you've gathered an awesome and loving audience :) And it's absolutely lovely to see someone showing abroad what living in Szczecin is like - I've always found Szczecin to be ridiculously underpriciated not only abroad, but among polish people as well! Noone in Poland knows a thing about this city and some of my friends in other cities are surprised we even have trams there. But it really is a gem and finally needs recognition!
Hello . I live in England near to London and we are lucky enough to have a Polish bakery in Feltham . They make delicious bread and cakes . We also have a local bakery in Ashford SURREY which make equally good bread but they cakes are not quite in the same league as the Polish one's. Also in Feltham there are some Polish deli.s selling cold meats and cheeses. Yum .yum. Anyway keep up the good videos and hopefully will see you cooking some Polish dishes. Regards Geoff Thompson.
Wonderful montage of the city and the bakery's you visited at the beginning... nice music. This new feature on your channel would have been perfect for touring the Christmas Marketplaces in Poland!! But thanks to this damn pandemic... that probably won't happen this year! DAMN!! Take care!
Hi Greg! Szczecin, like many cities in Europe usually have a Christmas market that we would love to show you. Maybe next year we will be able to show you the one here in Szczecin, and maybe even Krakow! Thanks for watching.
Oh my goodness! You all were at Ft. Sill. Closest thing to anything Polish for food is Texas. I couldn’t believe it when I was stationed in TX. Memories watching this video. The bakery in my town was the center for our little Eastern European community in PA! 💜
Hello I am born in France and lived in the United States for 50 years I miss my hot chocolate in a small bowl and dip fresh French bread in it oh la la! Nothing like it here, but I do enjoy all the polish delis here. Polish barley mushroom soup is the best and chicken fried breasts, I like the polish food because polish don't use a lot of salt or sugar in their food. Make fried chicken breasts and mushroom sauce and meatballs. Merci gin coo ah?
So happy I found your channel! Been looking to cook authentic Polish food and was going to try a cookbook but now I don’t have to! You’re an amazing cook!! I’m still getting caught up on your videos because I’m new here but wanted to say thank you for sharing your recipes , heritage and part of your life with us!❤️
Love you, Anna! I don’t want to comply here either! Unless I have too! The bakery goods look delicious! I can’t believe he uses a starter. I make sourdough here in the USA and I would love some recipes for Polish breads and baked goods!
I adore you and your channel! I am American Polish...I have been to Poland under communist rule. I LOVED it. Much of my family live there..Warsaw and around that area. The streets are so clean and food! I make many of my family's recipes still. I used to speak Polish but not any longer 😕. The "elders" always wanted "us kids" not to know what they are saying so us kids lost most of it. Thank you for bringing my Polish heritage back to me! I want to visit again one day
Reczyńscy bakery is the best. 👍 for me ;) This is one of the oldest bakeries in Szczecin. His bread is really heavy and heathy. :)) I am so glad that You show also good places in Szczecin. :))
It's Friday night - the rumor has it that the Kitchen's Closed so why not binge-watch on P.Y.K.....oh te wysmielite drozdzowki....smak dziecinstwa:) Pozdrowionka.
Hi Amy, when we lived in the States I usually went to places like whole foods to get good bread. they usually had a nice selection. Panera Bread also was another source of fresh bread for us. Thanks for watching!
@@PolishYourKitchen My wife and I were very excited to hear about the new vaccine, hopefully soon things will go back to normal. If we make it to Poland in the Spring........my sister in law is from Szczecin. She's always been trying to get me to go there, It's just such a long drive from Nowy Sacz.
Hi guys I’m so jealous watching you enjoying eating those buns. When you grown up in Poland and livening far away like Australia you messing those traditional foods.Love watching you guys.Great job .Greatings from Melbourne 👋👍❤️
My Babcia would go out each Saturday or Sunday morning and she would buy 8 loaves of Polish Sourdough Rye bread. She would deliver a loaf to each of her children around the city. Such a great memory. I've tried to duplicate it using my sourdough methods and a rye flour mix...and almost cried with the results. They were such a great memory.
It's so good to see my city. Will, you be able one day in spring-summer show Wały Chrobrego and underground restaurant, the castle, Bramę Portowa, and, "The Central, municipal Cemetery in Szczecin, Poland. With an area of over 167.8 hectares, and still expanding, it is officially the largest cemetery in Poland and the third largest cemetery in Europe". Just some ideas if you want to explore. Love you showing the streets as you drive through. Like your channel. 🤗
Gina, we have plans to do all those wonderful places once they are in all their glory. The flowers will be blooming in Park Kasprowicza so that will be coming very soon. Thanks for watching and stay tuned!
People thought something was wrong with me when I mentioned one day that bread was my favorite dessert. I had to explain oh not store bread I mean Baci's bread. Then I had to explain Baci is a form of grandma in Polish.
Hi Nannette. I was an exchange student in Stevens Point during High School. After Mark and I got married many years later we spent three years in Eau Claire while Mark served as an Army Recruiter. Wisconsin is truly a second home for me. Thanks for watching!
Mark and I met in Stevens Point, which is his home town. When Mark was in Recruiting in the Army we lived in Eau Claire. Minocqua is one of Marks favorite areas "Up Nort" as he says. Thanks for watching!
LOL. There's plenty of great artisan bread in America, but you can't judge American/Polish bread by experience in Oklahoma and Wisconsin only. There are fabulous Polish bakeries scattered throughout America, but in Poland, I'm sure they are more common and more concentrated. Just as, you can get high-quality French chocolate and croissant in NYC and elsewhere, but they're nowhere near as abundant as they are in Paris.
I am learning Polish so one day I can visit Poland. My grandfather was Polish and I love Polish food
Samantha, come visit even if you don't know Polish, it's just as fun. Thanks for watching!
Do u speak polish ? What state are u from

While in America, what kind of bread did you get? The bread in Poland looks delicious.

I meet you ☺️
I just hate seeing the graffiti on all those beautiful buildings. 😒
We do too. It makes Mark crazy. We can't understand why you would want to destroy something so beautiful.
