But you motivate me to do so many jobs around my house and within my community . Thumbs up 👍letsdig18 ,great attitude good man ..
Hey Chris just wanted you to know. I spend alot.of time in the hospital and your one of a few peoples UA-cam that has gotten.me through the long boring stays.. thanks for all you do for all of our entertainment
Been watching you load trucks for a few years and dont remember you ever touching a truck with your bucket. I like watching you operate your equipment. I watch others too but your are the best operator Ive seen. thks
I am jealous of how easy you have it working in your area. If we touch any run off channels we have to have the river authority onsite to approve the repair and have to triple compact the base and the pipe has to be weight bearing of what the road is rated. Way too much government involved but on the other hand I have seen some repairs that should have landed people in jail. Keep them coming.
Man, if you put a brush on the end of that boom you could paint a masterpiece. I always enjoy watching you work. Not all channels show the end product.
You're like my Bob Ross. Dirt is your paint, and your equipment is your brush. You explain everything in a nice voice, its peaceful watching you work, its satisfying to see the end of the project.
They say a good operator uses his machine as an extension of himself, and you sir are one with yours!! The diligence you have for knowing what can be done along with giving the customer a working outcome, then going the extra to grade for mowing was a pleasure to watch!
Who would’ve thought watching these types of videos would be so relaxing? Since finding your channel Chris, I’ve been binge watching. My wife thinks I’ve lost my mind 😂 you are one talented man with your equipment. Outstanding job on all the pond builds and driveway work also 👌🏽 I subbed
That’s how our county works around here. Pave the road first. Then cut up all the new pavement to replace all the culverts and do the ditch work. Then patch up the road and call it good.
@@ryanwaltos2206 They are currently widening one of our main roads ( finally after nearly 60 years that we've lived here ) and even before they got finished, a crew was in and cut the fresh pavement. Work that should have been done before the paving was done in the first place. Didn't matter much as as soon as they had repaved it, they milled the pavement back down again to the rock so that they can put the final coat down to match the level with the side road.
Beautiful job! Not many people can do it a cleanly as you do!!!!! You cleaned those ditches perfectly and that new drainage system you installed will last for a very long time!!!!!!!!!
You've got to be in the Carolina's south to have a pipe that high in the ground. If you were up north the frost would send that pipe through the pavement before the first winter! The project looks good though. I like how clean you keep your site as you work.
Nice job ! Truck driver is one of us old school guys, don't stand around because there's always something you can do. Grab a broom, shovel , pick some debris up. Good solid team here giving people their moneys worth.
Looks really good. Having to work mud and make it look that good. I am always impressed at the details you take care of, that others do not. Quality of work is good business and brings business.
You don't know how satisfying it is to watch an operator who can handle more than one stick at a time and doesn't have the bucket jerking all over the place.
Take the dirt from this ditch and use the dirt to fill that ditch....got it!! that sounds like a plan, lets get after it! Damn it! I came to work again and forgot to bring my lunch. No worries.., I'll call out to my wife in the living room and see if she can drop something off on her way to the bathroom. No sense in putting the video on pause and stopping work.
When someone digs or does something similar nearby, I usually go there and watch. It is always impressive to see a knowledgeable professional working with a large machine. This is an advantage though. I can sit on the couch and watch one of the best.
Chris, not to take away from your expertise, but if more contractors worked as great as you do, there would be a lot less messed up jobs to have to fix. You set a high bar for other contractors to meet. Keep up the great work you do!
If I could find a crew that works like these 2. That would be a dream within itself. Work ethics are off the chart. Love this channel and whom all is involved.
I've watched more than a few of your videos so far and the last 19 mins of this video is the first time I've seen you dig relatively dry material. Does rain just follow you everywhere you go or do you just love chocolate pudding that much? I've been around my fair share of pipeline construction in Texas and those guys try to avoid digging mud. Also, the helper with the square-point in this video is a top-notch hand. I can tell he knows what needs to be done and doesn't mind doing it, even if it requires him to be under your boom with no safety equipment. That's some trust and I hope you appreciate it. Great vids. Keep it up!
Great videos. Recording your work. legal protection if any issues pop up. They can't claim you did it wrong.. admire your gift from God. Smooth operator.
Love seeing your dump truck operator out there putting in some work with the shovel making everything clean. Good crew you've got in every video. You must be awesome to work for/with!
Along with your construction skills, your land sculpturing skills have dramatically improved. Not that he is the GURU, but Hedblom has a bucket just for ditch trenching (like you did here). It's an amazing tool that reduces project applied time. After watching his work on ditching, I would believe your applied time would be reduced 60% with this bucket.
Wow grading that ditch around 40:00 with the angle bucket, you make it look so easy and effortless! I don't have an tilt bucket so i track along side and pull my bucket down to the bottom then up the other side, then track and repeat like you did on the smaller ditch. I can imagine you get it done much quicker with that tilt bucket!
That yanmar is super quite , awesome machine but my fav is the big Volvo of yours, i like how the bucket has that ball joint allowing your bucket to cut into banks and hill at weird angles
Yes indeed Chris is one heck of a Smooth Operator. I have been watching his videos for about a week now and Chris is so far the Best i have seen. Fantastic work there Chris I have enjoyed watching your work. Keep the video`s coming.
You do get some challenging projects, never boring but with all that rain y’all having at least your not building a pond.be a tad sloppy.good video stay safe 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Utilities companies are always in the way. For instance, our city natural gas company is the strictest in our state but they have ran a gas line through a culvert and one through a main sewer line just because it was easier. The sewer line we found right after building a spec house on the golf course. Luckily we discovered the problem before placing the house on the market. Used a camera inside the sewer and took a picture of the situation to the gas company along with a bill for the repairs. Gov't regulators at their finest! Good job!
First of all my respect sir, because you know how to master your machines and you know how it´s done right. But as a craftman on my own, I always wonder how you know your correct height / your drop level, because I never see you measure or any leveling device standing around. Short distances can be done with just observing the water flowing in the dig, but you have to start somewhere and most important conecting to a given height at the end. It´s a miracle for me. : )
I actually love listening to hydraulics work. I can tell your machines are still really tight. I love the sounds of when you hit the bucket down too. It's totally where they got the sound of the AT-ATs in Empire strikes back. awesome. Oddly satisfying watching dirt get tossed like water.
When i was a kid we had a huge sloped ditch like the one you made. All the neighborhood kids used it as a dirt bike ramp to do tricks on. The 5 year old me approves of this ditch!
question for you. When you made the curves between the pole and the road, why didn't you make a berm on the bank, to make sure when, in a storm, the water doesn't jump that bank and wash out the dirt driveway?
First time I've seen this particular video of Chris' and just a few seconds before I scrolled thought the comments I was thinking the same damn thing!! Should be his theme song but I'm sure the licensing would be a bitch.
used to hate when i was putting pipes in and the laborer would jump in there and shovel right next to you so your trying to watch out for him and what your doing at the same time. enjoy your video thanks
One of those odd UA-cam rabbit holes that's gotten me watching some random chap and his digger. Something so strangely therapeutic about watching a highly skilled professional work.
You should really be using the grey (polypropylene) pipe (opposed to the black polyethylene) where you have less than 2ft of cover and vehicular loading. You did good to protect it with full depth rock, but you're most likely still going to get cracking in the asphalt over that pipe.
Brilliant job Chris but who ever that put in all the utilities running down a ditch that’s really meant to be somewhere out the way and not running through a ditch at the side of the road but you made a brilliant job of covering it over as if it wasn’t there at all. 👍
Oh Hell Yeah !! That turned out really Nice Chris !! Ought to work really well now , water should shoot right on out of there !! You can sure slick her up with that mini..... Have a Great Evening Man !!On to the Next....
I used to operate heavy equipment and I always thought I was pretty good but damn. You make me look like a noob. You're smoother with that bucket than Bob Ross was with his paint brush. Lol.
Beautiful piece of ditch cutting. You would be truly valued here in the UK Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire fens where ditching was invented I think! So great to see an accomplished person doing what they are good at, it's sooo satisfying! Keep up the good work , Chris love your vids! :)

Looks so much better and has no doubt saved the farmhouse from bring deluged by water.

You must live in Washington.
@@Californians_go_home It is universal. For some reason, freshly paved roads attract digging machines.

Almost an hour with LD18.

👍Looks like a win for both driveways. Only thing missing is a decorative flat stone to cover the shallow conduit near the final curve at the street.
