LG V20 Display Assembly Repair Video Steps:
    Warning:
You are performing this repair at your own risk
We claim no responsibility for any damages that might occur
    Step 1
Power down your LG V20 phone.
Step 2 (LG V20 Metal Battery Cover and Battery)
Press the release button to remove the LG V20’s metal battery cover.
Easily lift out the 3,200 milliampere-hour replaceable LG V20 battery.
Step 3 (LG V20 Exterior Midframe)
Remove the following 21 Phillips screws. These screws are different sizes, so be sure to remember where they go.
With the triangle opening tool in hand, extricate the tight-fitting top and bottom metal covers.
After attacking some pry-able clips, pop off the LG V20 exterior midframe with ease.
    Step 4 (LG V20 Motherboard)
Disconnect the front-facing camera and display cable from the motherboard.
Spudge up the LG V20 motherboard.
Step 5 (LG V20 5 MP Front-Facing Camera, Earpiece Speaker, Vibrator, Microphone, and Headphone Jack)
Pluck out the 5-megapixel LG V20 front-facing camera. No tools necessary!
Tweeze up the LG V20 earpiece speaker.
The next components to surrender are the LG V20 vibrator and a microphone.
Pry the 3.5 mm headphone jack out of the chassis.
Step 6 (LG V20 5.7” Quad HD IPS Display Assembly)
Use the tweezers to carefully peel up the display cables.
The 5.7-inch LG V20 quad HD IPS display assembly is glued on solidly to the interior midframe. Apply heat to soften the adhesive.
Use a playing card to slice through the sticky adhesive and decouple the LG V20 screen from the midframe.
    * To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.

Thanks for the video. I successfully repaired my cracked screen and LCD. Didn't have a heat gun, so I used an electric stove top (not recommended), but it worked!

Whenever I'm in a call and I activate speakerphone my microphone becomes muted. However the microphone picks up my voice when I'm speaking into the phone regularly (ear to the phone) and even when I'm recording audio. I've done plenty of factory resets to know its not a software issue. What part would I need to replace to possibly fix the issue?

is it possible to just replace the glass without having to spend the $100+ on the whole assembly?

Glass only replacement requires specialized machinery and is outside the scope of our videos.

Ok so question, I bought a screen and digitizer, not from your company, but so i did it because i dropped my phone in my pool, oops, and so amazingly after a day in some quinoa, it started up just fine, buuuut the freaking touchscreen was broke :( So after a couple more days the screen suddenly went super dim except for in the top right corner and I had hoped that replacing the screen and digitizer would fix it but it did not so my question is, should it have fixed it? Kind of wondering from what I saw on your site if maybe the screen I got should be returned. I am assuming the issue my phone is having is with the backlight because everything is fine. I can now use touch, and I have sound, although I have to put my phone on speaker to talk with someone which I am willing to be ok with but man is it hard to see my screen in outside light :/

Did the same thing with mine last night, my screen is exactly as you described with it going dim except the top right corner. What did you end up doing? Cheers

Mine also. The backlight is dim except for upper right corner and 2nd display. Try googling the solution but up to no avail. 😩

Oh! My friend's screen does the same thing (and also due to water damage
I received the display assembly with frame and was hoping that would solve the same problem a friend's phone is having. As I've already messed up the front camera (sensor came off but the lens stayed attached),I now don't know lf I should bother continuing. They don't use the front camera anyways, but if this won't resolve the issue then I just wasted money.

@@Devo_gx Did you end up following through with the repair? If so, did it actually fix anything? I have the exact same issue and would love to be able to fix this myself if its possible
