Nice looking truck I myself have a 1995 GMC Yukon with a 5speed with 4WD and it is awesome to drive, no one ever believes me that its a manual.
I think they are very rare

this brings back memories of riding in my dads old 91 chevy work truck. I guess he shoud have never got rid of it, because now we don't even have a truck. We used to have two of them.

nice one! noticed you had an air freshener hanging from your rear view mirror like many people do. i was once pulled over driving through a dinky town. i hadn't done a damn thing wrong. i asked the cop why he pulled me over. he said my air freshener impeded my view of the road. we all know that was a pathetic excuse to pull me over, but apparently a legal one. i don't hang anything from my mirror anymore.

I own a 92 Chevy 1500 with a cammed 350 5 spd , and it has tons of power I must say
I just saw a 93 on CL for 1800 with a 350 and 5 speed manual trans. Its a base model, not sure if yours is but i wouldnt care. Thats rare as hell. If i had the money now id buy it in a heart beat

Thats quite a treasure u have there. I have a white 1994 z71, sadly its a 4l60e but these trucks are bullet proof.
Taco Man 4l60’s are good as long as you take care of them and don’t hot rod them all the time. But I see what you’re saying.
I have a 92 with the 5 speed, wouldn't trade it for the world. Absolutely love it. May upgrade to the 6 speed tho.
Hillbilly Jim What kind of fuel mileage do you get with yours and what engine is in it? I'm looking for this gen blazer or silverado for my daily driver. I'm getting 10 mpg in my 2wd f150 and I heard these get better even with the 5.7
@@Zazeei have an ‘89 with the 350 TBI and the 700R4 and I get 10 city, 14 mixed and 22 highway. 20 if I run conventional oil. But she gets much better mileage than you’d expect.

Even it was an emissions test she would prob pass even with check engine light if I’m not mistaken on older models they go through the exhaust not the computer that is the throttle body fuel injected one right?
Nor here in fla we pretty much can do whatever we want as far as exhaust shhh no i mean ummm catalytic comverters have to remain in the system .. Lol every car ive owned over the last ten or more yrs has a perpetual check engine light so whats a mother to do ?? I put it in nuetral and rev it up a bit to you know check engine ..

Nope, 1988 through 1993 the stick and knob are one whole rubber peice, 1994 up was 2 different pieces

what model 5 speed is it? I'm not well versed in gm trucks I'm more of a dodge guy, but my buddy is wanting a 5 speed for his 82 he don't tow or anything so a lighter duty one would be fine. Just trying to figure out what years and models came with what

+cumminstd90 also to add to that the getrag and the nv are the same externally however internals are a might different for the getrag had a 4 shift rail design with a selector finger to switch between rails which was a cast steel part prone to breaking (I know I've done it) where as the nv3500 introduced in 93 had a single shift rail design with a little beefier internals
Any half ton was the nv3500, same as a dodge, and 3/4 ton to 1 ton were nv4500 in chevy and dodge
@@mattconner8469 The NV4500 with the granny low gear was also available in the 1500 and the Blazer as an option. I special ordered a 92 K1500 pickup and it had the 4500, believe it was a $98 option above the base 3500. I also ordered 4.10 gears with a locker in the rear. Sadly all those cool old trucks and options are now long gone.
What manual transmission and differential oil does it take? I have a Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup year 1995, 305 tbi 5.0-liter 8-cylinder engine, 238 thousand kilometers and I don't have the vehicle manual, they are the same models from 1988 to 1995
GM Synchromesh fluid (in Canada 10953465) or equivalent for the trans , 75W90 gear oil for the rear.

Do you have low gear as well? Mine does and i hate it
low gear is very powerful for pull trucks out of mud

Drive a manual the right way and don't beat the piss out of it and it will last ya darn near forever... might need a clutch from time to time though.

Nope. It came with it. They absolutely did come with a standard 5-speed, just like a pickup. This one is a 1993 BLAZER, not a Tahoe.

Any chance you know which 5 speed came in these things? I want to put the right fluid in mine and can’t seem to find an answer. I know the video is old so forgive me.
@@russelstrawmire9817 was probably in the mid 90's for the Blazer, for pickups it lasted until 2007 but only with the V6.

Man the difference between the 1993 and the 95. There is a lot.
Alexander Castillo the interior was redesigned, they had the same engine though. Good old 5.7.
The dash and the gauges and the interior were all redesigned from 1995 to 1999, and the TBI 5.7 went to a Vortec 5.7 from 1996 to 1999.
