It's nice watching what these classic American trucks can do in basically stock form. Also appreciate that you're driving them like you appreciate them vs. abusing them.
I’ve got the extended cab equivalent of that truck, 5.7 with the 5 speed. With decent 31s or 33s it will go anywhere!
I have a 90 k1500 in dark maroon and bottom bronze..5.7 4x4 I love it..I got some parts coming they are going to change the whole look of the truck..lift and tires coming soon..for those wondering I'm not gona ruin a classic truck with crazy wide wheels and lift for show,my truck gets used in some narrow trails with brush hanging over and i pull my Mobile wash trailer with a 300 gallon tank on a daily, it is my work horse...gona run fuel wheels 17x9 on a 12.5 tire for that aggressive sidewall protection.tires are gona be flush if not maybe poke out 1/2"-1"...hope to post soon..thanks 4 the obs videos 👍
Nice. I love my 94 Z71. Its automatic though with a 700r4 4.56 gearing. 6" inch procomp lift with 35s

can i join in? lol. i have the same truck, 97 swb z71. brown and keyed down the driver side "Cheater". baught her that way. were up to 260k miles on the 5.7vortech, but she starts every time, and will tear any hole up it passes lol. i love her ❤
Gm for life! I love them all. Im currently building a 2017 Silverado. 6 inch RC lift 20 inch 12.5 wheels from RC deleted AFM and put in cooler bypass for transmission. Swapping out the gears next. Gonna go with 373 or 410s! Chevy 🔥💯🇺🇲
I’ve got 3.73’s in my 04 cateye. Turns 33’s in the mud with absolutely no issues. Plus it gets good fuel economy running highway speeds
@@LegoMachine3000 nice! I'm going with the 410s. Putting in a front locker and going up a bit to do 37s. I've had a few big trucks years ago and it's been awhile since I built one. Looks good as it is but I want capable as well as a looker!!! Lol. Just my preference
Single cab and long bed with the 5.7 is the way to go! My 89 sierra is a beast never will sell it

You boys are making those chevys look bad! You should have left the ford for the vultures. When I was 18 I had a '93 gmc Sonoma 2wd ext. cab 5 speed I drove following a '84 k5 blazer driven by my friends dad. My friends begged me not to follow him but I did and never got stuck. I have owned several of the '88 to '98 GB trucks and they are almost unstoppable.
Have a 88 been doing the same stuff with it it's entire life it has lived on a farm and been a hunting truck since day one from Factory

Tbi truck with a 5 speed as well. Vortec heads and a nice RV cam, keep it cheap, flat tappet cam..... lots of fun

I grew up with these trucks doing the same shit. Iv always thought the short bed single cab Z71 was the best off truck ever!!! Iv owned an 89, 94, and a 2000 model. All wonderful in the mud. The only thing I hate is when they switch from a floor shift to the push button crap.

Where is this this riverside trail. I'm in King, NC. And would love to carry the wife there. Got a 1990 k1500 pushing 500k with locker's front and back all factory ordered and original. It's a beast for what it is. Love how you had fun and respected it as well

I've owned 5 or 6 of these trucks and have done way more with them than I should have and still can't brake 'em. This must be a beginner's training video.
