I remember walking into a church in Greenwich Village during a Vietnam protest and in the middle of this small setting Joan Baez and Country Joe McDonald were singing anti war songs. Just 3 or 4 feet away from me. This remarkable woman has been fighting injustice every day of her life.
Don't even think about the 58, 478 American soldiers who gave their lives, and the several million of S.E. Asia's murdered by the communists when "our" government tucked tail and betrayed them ALL!
Gary D Flatt The American war in Vietnam was a moral travesty. We killed millions while supporting a Christian dictatorship in a Buddhist country. Joan and the other peace activist were right to protest the war.
There was a remedy for that. Our government not lying to the public and drawing us into an illegal and immoral war. None of those people would have been killed. Have a great day.

I was at live aid and Joan came out on stage and said children of the 80s this is your WOODSTOCK
Thank you Joan for your Great Music, unforgettable.
In love with the beautiful voice for nearly sixty years so clear and true quality. ☮️❤️
I remember walking into a church in Greenwich Village during a Vietnam protest and in the middle of this small setting Joan Baez and Country Joe McDonald were singing anti war songs.
Just 3 or 4 feet away from me. This remarkable woman has been fighting injustice every day of her life.
You were really lucky to have witnessed such a precious moment in history!
ThatKidWhoLiesAboutHisAge OnTheInternet all those killed by american blacks is way more....like 10k x 50 years = half million.
There was a remedy for that. Our government not lying to the public and drawing us into an illegal and immoral war. None of those people would have been killed. Have a great day.
What a magical piece of film. Made all the more magical by the fact that you were there and filmed this yourself. It's wonderful to see Joan just chilling out at home, with her baby and her friends, doing what she loves most, singing a song. She has a lovely aura about her, quite mesmerising it must have been great to hang out with her.
Awesome. Have never seen this until now. Thanks for sharing.
This has got to be IN the 70's...what a beautiful woman!!
I have been trying to sing her songs since I was 6. She is blessed with a voice the sound of divine bells. Love to listen to her always. The diamonds and rust album is beyond compare.
I think, know she knew Bob Dylan very well. This takes me way back, thanks.
either someone messed w/ the soundtrack, or her baby farts loudly. but she truly, is a national treasure .in the Woodstock film her breath is captured on film blending w/ the stormy August air .thanx big time, David Hoffman .seeing an informal jam like that is priceless .her Dylan is right on the money. and a lot of fun.
Oh this is such a gorgeous thing to see and hear
Thank you so much for making this precious video of a beautiful moment--it makes me feel good to watch.
What a voice! So wonderful to see her in her youth as a young mom.
