As an evil hypnotist myself i can concur this is an accurate depiction .i know they were passing it off as comedy but its surprisingly on par with reality

I think that was the joke. You were setup to expect someone who would do or say unspeakable things, but all he did was a sinister look, a funny walk and a manic laugh. And obviously Eldon pulled it off very well :)
On the news the other day they said the UK is currently suffering a shortfall of evil hypnotists. Excess workload and burnout from of all the evil hypnotism that was needed in the pandemic causing people to leave, apparently (though some take their skills off to tabloid journalism or try politics).
But - the people posting links to reputable hypnosis practitioners, below. Are they good or EVIL hypnotists? I don't mean this in an overly negative way. As the clip shows us, evil hypnotists get results. It's a judgement call...
Now, you see, the thing is, because he is identified as an evil hypnotist you expect him to take advantage of her in some way, but he doesn't, he actually cures her cigarette cravings without abusing his power, but he still verifies he is evil by his evil laugh. It's unexpected but also remains consistent with the set up. That's the joke.
you know he's the evil hypnotist because he's the only one to have cigarettes on him and offers them to someone who's trying to quit. Who he's cured, because you know, professionalism.
