"This man has turned to act. Ever year in the United Kingdom, thousand of lives are destroy by the addict lure of act. Don't turn to act. Give generous."
@John McGrath Luckily, the amount of act I use is harmless. I inject about once a month on a purely recreational basis. Fine. But what about other people less stable, less educated, less middle-class than me? Builders or blacks for example. If you're one of those, my advice to you is leave well alone. Good luck.
I loved Big Train, you just don’t get sketch comedies like this any more. Eldon, Heap, Pegg and Bullmore, four of the greatest comedians of their generation.
Aye, because if there's one thing you need to be able to do in the middle of a heart-wrenching story like Heaven Sent or Human Nature, it's juggle three oranges like Krusty the Clown.
I never really watched Big Train when it was on. I was far less developed humour-wise. Boy how I've missed out. This sketch was great. I love Jaaaaam, Alan Partridge, Brass Eye, etc so think I need to get hold of the Big Train DVDs.
Thinking back, I'm pretty sure that in 1998 when I first saw Big Train I wasn't familiar with any of the cast. I knew of Graham and Arthur thanks to Father Ted, but none of the performers. Now, however, looking at the casts from both the 1998 and 2002 series, it's a roll call of brilliance. All of them great actors and all of 'em pissfunny.
How lucky am I as I have never seen any of their stuff until this week and it's great and my kind of humour. Is there anything ,in particular, you would recommend ?
@@Isleofskye The Day Today, Brass Eye and (if you want to go really obscure) Jam are all good and star a lot of the same cast. Spaced is also great if you haven't seen it.
Thanks m8 ! Although I forgot the very ending when those 3 West Highland Terrier puppies came out. I used to have 4 of them together and they were wonderful :)
For everyone talking about the plane, it's part of the joke. But okay, it's the end of the month each time, and he leaves where he stays for work, goes back to his main home ob the isle of man or wherever from the office in london. Some execs do that.
With the amount he would have spent on taxi fairs, flight tickets, juggling lessons and puppies, wouldn't it have been simpler and cheaper just to pay their wages?
No, He's quite right. If you take the price of three taxi's at £20 a time then the flight out of the country and back, let's say £450, then the return flight back or possibly an overnight stay......
I don’t know why he has to leave the country every time, or how he gets back in time the next morning, couldn’t he just go home or have a coffee in the snack bar?
Yes he can. But if you don't get it why he does what he does, then that's the reason why you probably never get to write a good comedy sketch screenplay. No offense bro ;-)
@@lighthunt Do you write good comedy sketches, do you have to write good comedy sketches to understand good comedy sketches, there can’t be a very big audience of good comedy sketches if that’s the case?
