Island Sand Bar, Stilt Houses, And A Gheenoe Adventure!

- We launched our Gheenoe from Nick's Park in Port Richey, FL and idled about 20 minutes down the Cotee River over to Durney Key. Durney Key is a small island that has some sandy beach area and spots for camping. We got there at low tide so there was a lot of beach for Skylar to run on. Then we took a tour around the stilt houses that were built in the early 1900's as fishing camps. They were pretty cool! Then we headed back down the river for lunch at Whiskey's Joe's. We docked the boat at the restaurant's dock. It was a really nice way to spend the day!

I have access to the last one, Furthest north.. I never go there unless to show a friend. Its owned by the Lowe family and was rebuilt around 4ish years ago.
