Helpful pro tip, when turning out your coat/fancy dresses, sew your sleeve hem from the inside first before attaching facings, then leave a gap in your lining sleeve to turn everything right side out. Topstitch your sleeve lining together, no one will ever see inside your sleeve where you topstiched it toegther.

Could you please explain this technique? I just don't understand, from your first sentence. What do you mean "turning out" a coat or fancy dress? What do you mean to sew the sleeve hem from the inside, first-- where else would you sew it?! You generally don't have facings in sleeves. . .I don't get what you mean before attaching facings. I think I get what you mean to leave a gap in the sleeve lining-- so you can pull the public side fabric through it. What do you mean to "topstitch your sleeve lining together", together with what? With all the upvotes, I must be the only one not getting this, but I am just baffled. TIA.
@@amierichan1428they are probably describing “bagging a lining. You sew most of the seam and flip the item back around through a hole. Not my favorite as you are building shape into a garment and then wrestle is through a six inch hole. You should be able to find videos on it. Both Kittenish Behavior and Nicole Rudolph have shown it. Nicole, it was her pirate waistcoat for a ren faire. Kittenish, just search her channel and bagging and plenty should come up.
