Missed your content! Project of the magnitude you are working on is always going to be subject to mission creep. No worries as we get to see more of your skills and follow along. Awesome project!
Wow, you made that look easy, 1708 is so thick and hard to handle if you don’t have a plan, great job on that transom! Thanks for the episode and take care
Looking great! It is crazy how far you have come with the boat. This is going to be awesome when you are finished with it. Glad you posted the video and I can't wait for the next one!
Are you going to add more glass and transition it into the surrounding glass? The way it currently is at the end of the video is not adequate or ready to fair. Forgive if I missed something.
Great Job! Will you make the fiberglass on the transom as thick as before or will it be thicker? Was just wandering, don't know if it helps with the loads but considering there will be a heavy outboard on it i woudn't want it to delaminate. Never worked on a non wood boat tho, no idea how fiberglass works XD.
There is a lot of ideas I have changed and/or altered but the big plan of things are the same. Lots of ideas for deck layout and cabin interior to come. Will be doing a video coming up of what my plans are.
Hi, great work! Are you going to support the transom more from the inside or do you think it is strong enough You mentioned Andy from boatworks today, have you asked him for a opinion? From what i heard he likes to help people. Sorry, i always like to know it all, a youtube addict 😎 oh yea, please buy some knee protectors please, they will thank you later, grtz from holland
So glad you didn’t give up on this old boat! Looks great 😎
I’m glad too! It’s been fun!

I assume your putting outboard Bracket on the back of the transom , ? Well done, keep up excellent work.
Yup! Offshore bracket with 300 and 15 kicker!
So far so good ! 👍
Thanks Dave!

Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina
i was waiting for this vidio for a long time grate work
Back in action!
Good to see you back ! Are you sure resin will stick to rhe sillicone ?
Thanks! The tube I used was filled with thickened resin, no silicone used 👍
@@LindellAdventures Aw, Okay my bad 👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice job.
I’ve always wondered if those off shore brackets were part of the hull structure and not just hung off the transom?
The transom and stringers will be tied together, but a majority is hanging off the transom 👍

Nice to see you are making progress

You’re right haha I do add more in the coming video just an FYI

It will be a little thicker and with fiberglass, you want to leave it just a hair lower than how you want it so you can fair it out.
Use thumb tacks to hold glass. Easier than peeling tape while u working.
Pain in the a. When strands pull from tape.
That’s a good idea! I’ll try it next project 👍
Oh shit, another episode. Have you come up with any new plans for it or is everything still coming along?
There is a lot of ideas I have changed and/or altered but the big plan of things are the same. Lots of ideas for deck layout and cabin interior to come. Will be doing a video coming up of what my plans are.
Hows the floor repair coming along?
Once the transom is done, that is next on the chopping block!
@@LindellAdventures Ha! Chopping, sawing and digging. Just keep thinking about the fishing trips with the family, & memories made for the boys
