Wow that first story, actually made me emotional. I remember hearing about that when it happened😞 it not only breaks my heart that a mother ever has to bury their child, but that something that horrible could happen somewhere that’s supposed to be so fun. I used to ride every scary ride ever, but my gosh thinking of my son going on any ride at all gives me such bad anxiety.
As soon as he said "Icon Park" I got chills, I knew exactly what it was going to be about. I don't know what but that incident hit me really hard for some reason, more so than others like it. I still think about Tyre all the time, and I live in Alaska, didn't know anyone involved, have never been to Icon Park (though I have been to many Florida theme parks). I still just can't stop thinking about him.
I started this video in hopes to fall asleep, and after two minutes into story one I was hooked. After that it got even more intense; where you can’t help but wonder how these people are doing today… (Story three will make you cry)
The Amusement park story is so tragic any time something like that happens that certainly could of been AVOIDED. I remember being refused because of age and height. They clearly seen he was overweight they could of just said NO instead of trying to spare feelings. Hurt feeling can get over. DEATH can not. 😭 so sad. Sorry to the Father of son and family. For that was his only son.
I don’t blame Noah ! Sucks it had to come down to that much he deserved much better then what he received and hope he came to peace with what he had to do

31:55 Many years ago, but my cousin's grandmother was sold since she was 5, to sailors. When she grew up, and was talking to her bedridden mother on the phone. I don't know what was said, but she went over there, and stabbed her mother to death in bed. The daughter ended up in an institute because of everything that happened to her as a child, instead of prison. They're both dead now. But EVERYONE holds onto something, and it makes them cry, something they'll never forget until they die. PLEASE BE KIND TO PEOPLE, WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT ANYONE ELSE'S LIVES HAVE BEEN LIKE. ❤️
I remember the free fall story, I watched it on the news. Horrible. And Noah's story had me in tears, I have 2 boys 15 & 16. If my mom did that, I would die.
The first story was really sad. I am a ride tech and the guys at work shown me the graphic video and it was hard to watch. I can’t imagine losing someone I cared about to something that’s suppose to be fun, there is just no prep for the tragedy it brings. Unfortunately it serves as a reminder to us that we must do our checks thoroughly and never come to this. I truly hope the family recovers this.
I understand the the first story's emotions so well bc we were in Wildwood NJ for the car show & watched the 17yr old die after dude lost control of his donut. Ill never forget the screams.
Looked at the info for story one. Looks like a kid (14) fell 70 feet from the free fall earlier this year and passed after blunt force injury. Prayers to his family.
As soon as it started, I had a feeling it was the same news story earlier this year. Such a tragedy all around. There were so many opportunities to prevent this. 💔
Somebody even took a video of it.. And I heard that the kid knew he was gonna die so he told the person next to him to tell his parents that he loves them 😔

Story 5 hit close to home, I was put on topamax when I was 14-15, it was awful. It can change your speech, mess with your coordination, make you confused, lose memory, change your vision, make it difficult to concentrate and pay attention, it can also cause aggression and behavior problems. If the mom is guilty, I’m gonna be glad that I stopped taking that medicine after only a few months. But as someone who did take the medicine, do I think she’s capable of it? Absolutely. Topamax changed everything for me and I’ve seen other adults on it, it really freaked me out to see their behavior. Like a zombie, like there was nothing behind her eyes. Watched her dig her nails into my friends (her daughter) upper thigh when she was frustrated. It’s just scary to think medicine can do these things to you.
I was prescribed topamax for migraine prevention. One single dose, and I never took it again. I couldn’t feel my tongue, fingers, or toes. I saw words on my phone screen, but couldn’t remember how to read or make sense of the letters. As I was meant to take it at night, I did. When it began to kick in, it was after midnight, and calling my doctor wasn’t option. I was so scared of what I was feeling that the only thing I could think to do was call the 24hr Walgreens pharmacy, but I couldn’t even remember how to do that! When I was finally able, the pharmacist was less than helpful. I don’t even really remember much else from that night. What I do know is that I was unable to distinguish carbonation in soda or other drinks for upwards of a month after just that one single pill I took that one time. It was the strangest and most scared I’ve ever been after taking something- and considering the dumb things most of us have done as teenagers, that’s saying something! That medication is, in my opinion, so incredibly dangerous. My husband was even scared- I’d never acted like I had that night. I’ll take a migraine over that load of side effects any day of the week! The topamax was to be taken at night, and the Elavil in the mornings- but after that horrible night, I’d sworn off both! If not taking half of the supposed ‘prevention mixture’ I saw no reason to start the other half. So scary!

Definitely needed this. I've been thinking about a recent breakup that I went through, and it wasn't easy to close my eyes at all tonight. This is making falling asleep easier.
The kid who fell off the Free Fall ride at Icon Park was a 383-lb 14-year-old who was almost 100 pounds over the ride's weight limit. Did he, his parents, and the ride operators not see that he was grossly outsized for the accommodations as he was trying to settle in? He never should have gotten on that ride in the first place. So an otherwise safe and thrilling ride was closed and demolished because of one negligent fatality in which the victim was not entirely blameless. Many if not most amusement park injuries and fatalities are caused by guests behaving improperly, oftentimes deliberately defeating restraints and standing up during a ride. Weight limits, rider rules of conduct, and safety restraints must be respected and employed diligently to reduce the likelihood of catastrophe.
The victim was entirely blameless because he was a fourteen year old. A fourteen year old who initially tried getting off the ride, but the operators decided to offer using extenders instead of simply allowing him off. Even if he’d begged to stay on, it still would not be his fault, as the decision would not be up to him. He was a CHILD who did not have the true knowledge to know just how dangerous something like this is. He was merely following advice of adults who were supposed to be following regulations, and never did. It is in no way a CHILD’S fault that GROWN ADULTS were negligent. As for his parents, they aren’t at fault because they weren’t even there. He was there with friends. The operators and the park are 10000% responsible in Tyre’s death, which was precisely what was uncovered in the investigation. Tyre’s death was not the only violation. Tyre’s death wasn’t the sole reason FreeFall was closed. It was the fact they were even using extenders in the first place. It’s the fact they allowed multiple people to use them, knowing it was unsafe. Tyre’s death was simply the thing that got them caught.
Story 1- The park employee that strapped the kid into the ride was on day 3. I believe he/she was left to figure it out on their own. Didn't want to say "no" to a 14 year old who weighed something like 300lbs. They felt bad and didn't appreciate how serious the height/weight limits were. Made a dumb "it shouldn't be that much of a big deal" decision on the fly when they should never have been running that stage of the ride by themself. Horrible situation that got that poor boy killed. It was not a veteran employee trying to make money for the company. Even worse. Undertrained employee with his death on their hands. Feel HORRIBLE for all involved. Poor kid.
I actually have the footage on the first story of the kid who fell off the ride, he should've never been on that ride and I feel horrible for those who saw, it was crazy seeing the people on the other side happy and enjoying the ride while he's laying dead on the opposite end. RIP Young blood.
I feel bad for all the deaths, injury, and Noah! It sucks how Noah's family was poor. Amusement parks are supposed to be fun and going to one should be peaceful. I wonder why Chris's wife in the last story had to take pills. By the way, the thumbnail looks great!
thanks for another great video and all your hard work. i really enjoy all your videos and lately, ive been craving amusement park stories, so this hit a great spot. i think i've seen the webms for the events in the first 2 stories. but never knew the story for the 2nd one (if it is the same one)
I saw the video of the poor boy falling in the first video its so tragic and sad. Lets not forget about the vile and disgusting woman that pretended to be his aunt to get the go fund me money as well.
As soon as you said Icon Park, I knew it was going to be about Tyre. I love theme parks and thrill rides but that incident hit me so hard, despite not knowing anyone involved and living extremely far away from Florida. It's been two years and I still think about Tyre all. The. Time. And his family. That poor kid.
*hi Noah if you’re seeing this by miracle, no one has or will ever blame you for protecting yourself from your attackers, especially when one being your own blood. The first story is a little inaccurate. I’m from Orlando and currently live there and remember when this happened. Me and my daughter rode this ride together maybe a month before this happened and it’s a great ride but The young man who died did exceed the weight requirements. It’s reported that He had also been denied from rides earlier that day. It was complete negligence on behalf of the staff. The harness that goes over your shoulder never clicked down and the staff didn’t completely check it. That ride was fairly new and so was the other attractions around it. Remember to always double check your harness and straps yourself.
Ngl hearing the story about icon park hit hard considering I live 20 mins from the park. All the stories on this one hit really hard cause I love theme parks but have a fear of falling.
Story 1: why do you act like falling happened to you. You literally said “things like this always happen to me”. Wtf. Way to go victimizing yourself at someone else’s tragedy.
Oh the story of Tyre Sampson (the first story). I was in Orlando around the time it happened. It’s so sad and the reason I didn’t go on ANY rollercoasters the next time I went. I’m praying for his family.
I just listened to the story about "Noah." It was so painful to hear. As soon as he told his 'friends' that his grandmother bought him all those things when he was good, I understood that poor souls horror! Things like this are horrible & disgusting enough but to hear that your own parent (grandparent) is your nightmare instead of your protector is the worst kind of heartbreak.... There's just no words but I think there's special places in hell for people like that!
The sad part with the first story is the kids mom encouraged him to keep trying to get on rides when he called her and said he had been refused from two other rides for being too big.
I kind of understand the idea that negligence is easier to process than done unavoidable fate. It can be avoided in the future. There’s a source where you can direct your anger. It’s hard when it’s some random occurrence where everyone followed procedure, because it can happen over and over. It can happen to you, or someone you love, and nobody can stop it. I’ve dealt with things that were my fault, or clearly the fault of other parole’s mistakes easier than the things I’ve experienced that just happen at random, with no way to stop them. I rarely flip out in a crisis except for the time that a natural disaster hit, and the time my small intestine ruptured. Those were acts of nature. They could theoretically happen again in my life, to me or someone else.
The Noah story just broke my heart. That poor baby.
Story number 3 broke my heart. I hope Noah found peace.

Poor kid.
Can’t wait to listen to this, thanks Joel!
My fav man on UA-cam!!!
Fascinating and thought provoking for sure! Tnx a ton
What a great episode!
I saw the video of the poor boy falling in the first video its so tragic and sad. Lets not forget about the vile and disgusting woman that pretended to be his aunt to get the go fund me money as well.
Poor Noah 😔
who else is listening to this after work?
Every night 😍😍
@@ChinqweAlabama cool 💪🏾💪🏾
As soon as you said Icon Park, I knew it was going to be about Tyre. I love theme parks and thrill rides but that incident hit me so hard, despite not knowing anyone involved and living extremely far away from Florida. It's been two years and I still think about Tyre all. The. Time. And his family. That poor kid.
Excellent as always. Mr.Minn.
*hi Noah if you’re seeing this by miracle, no one has or will ever blame you for protecting yourself from your attackers, especially when one being your own blood. She doesn’t deserve the title of a grandma, nothing grand about a child abuser. The only title she deserves Is an ongoing sentence and lives out her last days in cement walls. You are in my thoughts and prayers and hope you find that faith in yourself is faith in God, bless you❤️*
Story 3 is what brought me to look at the comment sections reaction to this poor child’s predicament😟😟😟
Ok Noah…..that was unexpected. Poor kid omg
That 3rd story, woahhh!!! I'd rather be haunted by ghosts or attacked by a psychopath than go through what poor Noah had to endure.😢
Well I’m currently on the way to Cedar Point, so perfect timing on this upload.
First storyteller just loooves himself everything is about him
Ngl hearing the story about icon park hit hard considering I live 20 mins from the park. All the stories on this one hit really hard cause I love theme parks but have a fear of falling.
The first story at Icon…didn’t his family find out because the video of him falling was posted online?😢😢😢😢 that’s awful.
Story 1: why do you act like falling happened to you. You literally said “things like this always happen to me”. Wtf. Way to go victimizing yourself at someone else’s tragedy.
Its weird when your sitting around listening to these stories and you realize the story is about ur town
I’ll never understand the tinder and other meet up apps. So dangerous
Love you UA-camJoel!💙💗💙
Well, I guess now is as good a time as any to fall into a deep sleep…
Jesus the end of story three gave me goosebumps, that poor boy
Your content is way better than that other guy on UA-cam that sounds just like you
Love the video ready ❤❤
The sad part with the first story is the kids mom encouraged him to keep trying to get on rides when he called her and said he had been refused from two other rides for being too big.
The one about Noah is so heartbreaking 💔
Thanks Joel for more awesome stories ❤❤❤
I’m tuned innn
