USA was incredible all night. She had amazing presence, the best interview, a beautiful smile an incredible body and she was so charismatic. I heard all the judges voted for her to win.
Venezuelan judge Carolina Herrera voted for Miss Venezuela, Marena Bencomo. Everyone knows that. Her scores proved that. And she said as much later on.

Whenever the pageant was held in Miami the stage is so perfect the entire canvass of the background is so amazing. I think the designs are well made.

USA deserved it. She had so much personality. But Italy & Curacao were robbed! They should have been in the top 3 & both of them could have easily given Brook a really tough final competition.
I also want Curacao and Italy to be in the top 3 considering their scores in Swimsuit and Evening Gown. However, after listening to the top 6 Q and A round. Italy gave a poor answer, Curacao was nervous and less confident. It also became hard for her for trying to speak English even she had an Interpreter. Maybe she can make it if she speaks her language
No way in hell would they have given Miss USA competition. I mean did you hear their top 6 answers? OMG. Brooke sailed through this competition!

It’s not just how Alicia crowned Brooke. It’s how she walked to Ms Venezuela and stayed there after locking arms with the first runner up. I also noticed how Brooke said something to Ms Venezuela while they were holding hands, waiting for the announcement but Venezuela ignored her. Such insolence.

Primero: Brooke Lee, Miss Universo 1997, quién representó a Estados Unidos es estadounidense ya que es originaria de Hawái, el cuál es un estado que forma parte de Estados Unidos. Así que usted se equivoca al decir que la ganadora no es estadounidense. Segundo: Si hay la posibilidad de presentarse al representar un país el cuál no es donde uno nació, con otros requerimientos y condiciones claro está, una de ellas es tener la nacionalidad de el país que la candidata representa. Lo digo porque Pia Wurtzbach quién representó a Filipinas y ganó el concurso de Miss Universo 2015, es en realidad alemana, ya que nació en Alemania, pero pese a eso tiene nacionalidad filipina, reside en Manila, capital de Filipinas y por supuesto representó a Filipinas en el año 2015 y ganó el concurso como Miss Filipinas, así que si se puede representar a otro país que no sea donde se nació. All the Latina contestants were so gorgeous then, but if u check them out now they didn't age well, while Brooke Lee is aging like a fine wine!! I can tell that Alicia Machado MU 1996 wasn't satisfied with the results. I can see that she wanted a back-to-back win for Venezuela. She just didn't want to put the crown on top of Brook Lee's head. She wanted to put it on top of her compatriot's head. But either way, It is what it is with the results.

That’s probably the real colour of her hair. Probably couldn’t get the hair colour she had before her reign during her year so she just let it go back brown or dyed it back brown. Notice it’s also shorter.
The last time everyone agreed on U.S.A. winning Miss Universe, and the last real convincing win at Miss Universe by a hosting nation. That was Brooke's crown to win that year after her stellar performance all throughout the competition.

Observe when USA and TT entered the sound-proof booth, Brooke led her along and even helped her with her long train gown but seemed like they weren’t talking to each other.
