En el 2030 o 2031 como va el patrón de que se coronan cada 9 o 10 años y vestidas de rojo.
No hay un PATRON! . Desde 1989 los dueños de Miss USA y Miss Universo cambian y alternan las reglas y con ello rompen la racha de Texas. Luego el mismo criterio en el certamen universal, alternando y cambiando el número de delegadas por etapa, cambian el número de Jueces y tambien la ronda de preguntas. Lo único que veo predecible es: Si el Jurado de la Preliminar es el mismo a la Gran Final... se favorecen las candidatas mas altas en la entrevista! Es todo lo que se puede anticipar.

Yes, that was huge in the world history and a key period in modern history. Next after the USSR dissolving, it was Yugoslavia. It was a great result for Miss Yugoslavia making the semifinals here and she would become the last to make it as Miss Yugoslavia before it dissolved. Around the same time was the break-up of Czechoslovakia, and you see in 93, Miss Czech Republic made the semifinals as a new country, and then the next year 94, Miss Slovakia was a finalist with her new country. It was remarkable that the Czech and Slovak made the cut back-to-back at Miss Universe just after they separated. Meanwhile unlike USSR and Czechoslovakia, it was Germany that reunited but they never made the semifinals when they reunited as just Germany.
@@alexsdb9712 Yugoslavia did win Miss International....but I wonder if all the countries that are now split share it, or it goes to the country the winner was from.

I saw this pageant on VHS tape for the first time back in 1999 or 2000. My aunt taped it, when I was 2 years old in 1991. My parents kept the tape and I found it and watched it.
oh wow! that's so interisting .. I videotaped things too from 97-2002 sadly.. I lost them all, over 300 vhs cassettes :(
@@ov7spears Me too! I started taping television specials and shows on VHS in 1999. I no longer have them anymore. It would've been great to still have them, but since everything is now on DVD, I wouldn't be able to watch them anymore unless I transfer to DVD.

We had a crowning in Norway area around Lillehammer celebrating with amongst others Glenn Medeiros in the early 90's, I was there and saw him outside the venue. But I can't find any recordings and this is not the place. I thought it had to be Mona handing over her crown. I guess I'll need to ask my local newspaper for old articles 😄

For me, Miss USSR should have won handily here. I suspect that because Miss Universe is an American-based pageant, it would be very hard for the owner and organizer to coordinate the activities of a Miss Universe winner coming from a main USA adversary that was crumbling in 1990/1991 that's why the judges picked a winner coming near the USA mainland like Miss Mexico. Miss Mexico was lovely but let's face the fact that a "tall and lovely" finalist would beat someone who is just "lovely".
