Miss USA delivered one of the most relatable answers in history! Her answer was on point, hilarious, spontaneous!!!! She beautifully dealt with the question!!!

How USA assisted Trinidad & Tobago, held her hand, guided her in the booth, and fixed her gown....that says a lot about her. She is authentic and a kind spirit. This is actually a time when former Ms Universe Alicia Machado had weight issue and Trump wantes to fire her. Amazing how Brooke injected that kick in the topic

Brooke was a clear winner that year.. Even after she won Miss USA 1997 you already know that she will be a big treat for the crown.

My other favorites are Lara Dutta (India), Denise Quinones (Puerto Rico), and Catriona Gray (Philippines).
We are same for brook lee and lara dutta. I love them the most. And the last one is Iris MU 2016. I love her a lot...

Damn! That answer from the US contestant gave her the crown. I mean, she didn't think it for a second, it was so sincere, not thought out, just pure gut honesty, and anyone can relate to that answer.

1997's pageant is very nostalgic to me. As a kid, we had it recorded on VHS, and it took place in my hometown of Miami, which is awesome. Lots of memories

Miss Venezuela looks nervous af. She's so beautiful but her expressions made her looks so nervous. even when she was called as top3 she didn't showed like she's extremely happy i think she was bored lol. But i love her. Im just telling my opinion.
Brook has the most hilarious but relatable answer in the history of MU. As a beauty queen they can't eat everything cuz they have to maintain their body in a specific way so she was honest.
Also love Trinidad & Tobago. She so gorgeous too.

Miss usa deserved the title! She was energetic and cordial (she even helped ms trinidad and tobago with the hem of her dress when they went to the booth)
When Pia won, she reminded me so much about Brook Lee. Unconventionally beautiful, had facial features that weren't considered by most as pretty, in a blue gown, looks ethnically ambiguous and very spontaneous. They also were not afraid to speak their minds.
Also both 26 years old at the time of their winning.
Coincidently, both of them were wearing blue gown when they won
Brook Lee’s deep blue gown actually reminded me of Catriona Gray’s red lava gown with the high slit and showing more skin. Sexy but classy. In 1997, Brook’s gown was ahead of its time. Brook’s blue gown was also inspired by her home state, Hawaii. Same as Catriona’s red gown inspired by the Mt. Mayon volcano in her mom’s hometown, Albay.
Coincidentally both Brooke and Pia blocked Venezuela and Colombia from winning back2back for their respected country. Although Venezuela did win back2back in 2008-2009
True that's what I loved about pia but for some reason people don't like her & say she has a rich family who paid for her to win😂❤

Honestly, though I thought she was a lovely woman, I did not even have Brooke listed in my top 10.
But after hearing the controversy over the previous winner's weight gain, and hearing Brooke's answers I said ¡BAM MISS UNIVERSE!

I think Trinidad’s answer was great, but she explained too much her answer. She didn’t need to explain the very obvious function of clothes. She could have been 1st runner up. But I gotta say, she’s very beautiful. Although not sure about the curtain she carried throughout the competition.
Venezuela’s answer was not outrageous enough, and kinda boring. The question sought specifically an outrageous answer. (Also, Venezuela looked sleepy to me.)
Now USA-no doubt gave the best, funniest, most outrageous answer: to eat everything in the world twice. She delivered her answer quite well with charming facial expressions and fun body gestures. USA truly deserved that crown. And she was so humble too. She even tried to help put in the dangling curtain gown of Trinidad inside the soundproof booth.
Yes, I too believe that miss Trinidad and Tobago should be 1st runner up. No doubt that miss USA is miss universe 1997 fully deserved. I felt bored when I hear miss Venezuela answer. I loved miss USA and miss Trinidad answers a lot

True that, her answer was brilliant, it was about a very relevant subject in the Miss Universe Organization at the time, so it was current and hot topic,but the subject was negative and heavy, and she took the weight of it off with a light humor, it was whimsical, and it was real and brilliant because she is, she's a beauty, full of grace and humility, more than just a beautiful face.. she wasnt just worthy, she won by a mile..the best in my book.

USA was confident, witty, charismatic & hilarious! I think T&T should have been 1st ru though.. but can’t deny Marena Bencomo of Venezuela’s beauty. She could have easily given Venezuela it’s first back-to-back if she had been more confident & more humorous with her answer.
