Nice review! You forgot to mention one good advantage of this lens, that is macro capabilities, it has great magnification and working distance to get nice shots of skittish tiny critters.
Nice 'real world' review. I have just bought this lens and agree on the IQ. I did not know about the SS to zoom range recommendation, I will try at 1/500 ss at full reach.
Good Review. I grabbed one today for 790€ almost mint. You can find it during sales for less than a 1000 now in France :) @09:39: you mean should be "at least" equivalent to focal length :)
Hello! Can you give me a time stamp where in the video you notice this because the lens has practically zero fringing issues. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
My copy of 150-500 have almost no fringing, even in difficult harsh scenerio, and I use it on a6700, if there was fringing, then aps-c would show it even more than on full frame. I get more fringing on my sony 200-600 and 70-350 than on tamron.
Reality good and helpful Review many thanks. Im in the same Situation, cause i was thinking about to get the Sigma 100-400 DG DN or the Tamron 150-500. Which has the better image quality? And would you change your decision or will you stay with the Tamron?
Hello. I think Sigma might be a little sharper corner to corner but I don't really notice it on 24MP. I would still go with the Tamron. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
You are the only UA-cam channel host who mentioned that this lens only hits f/6.7 at 480mm. This is very good to know! Thanks!
Ha! Thanks a lot. It doesn't make a big difference but it is just slightly brighter. Cheers!
Nice review!

Hello. Yes that's true. It's really nice to have this feature. Thanks for the comment.
I just got this lens and I shoot tiny skittish creatures 😊
@Joe_I_Hadley Nice! Cheers!

Hello and thank you. You got a good deal ;) and yes at least equivalent to the focal length Cheers!
Good review! Planning to pair this with my A7iii as well.
Hello. Thank you. You won't be disappointed. Cheers!
awesome video and explanations with good examples🙌
Thanks a lot! 😃Cheers!
I think the Tamron is one of the lightest telephoto lenses available for Sony E Mount. So, it’s not a “heavy lens.”
Ha! Yes I've used heavier lenses and this one is very welcome in my camera bag.
Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
helpful, thank you
Hello. Cheers!
In this video I see a ton (extreme) color fringing ... is that reality for the lens or just an artifact of the UA-cam video?

Hi! Thanks for sharing. I also don't notice any fringing. I'm really happy with this. It is an amazing lens. Cheers!
The menu on a7 needs a gold medal. Their app needs antimatter medal.
Ha! Good one. Cheers!
