the ozito did a great job on my lawn as well. just bought one recently and have the 1200 watt Ryobi line trimmer. did a much larger lawn without much of a fuss. i just do different sections on different days to not wear it out as much.

Thank you for the review and comparison between the two types. Appreciating that they are made for differently maintained yards. You've done a great job.
A really good comparison would be a long shot from the same angle showing before and after pics for the Ozito and Ryobi, each doing half the yard. Then swap using the Ozito & Ryobi to finish off the other half and show how it looks.

the power lead thats what the little hook is for next to the button to slide a loop of the extension cord into before you plug it in to the mower

Tried it mate but doesn’t work as well as the tie up method as it pops out often

@@takeanotherlook you must have a bigger diameter cord them

The plastic hook also takes the strain off the electrical connections inside the handle. If you manage to pull on the extension cord hard enough to unplug it when connected the normally then there is a good chance you will damage the connections inside the handle if you are not using the hook..

Hi Sunni, going to make a suggestion for you. Research the appropriate uses for each mower before attempting to compare - two very different mowers. For overgrown lawns or infrequently maintained lawns, such as shown in your video, a rotary mower is the appropriate mower selection. Frequently maintained lawns, cylinder mowing is more beneficial for many reasons - but primarily for cut quality and plant health. Cylinder mowers are not designed for cutting overgrown, infrequently maintained lawns as represented in your video.

cheers for the feedback James and very true they both built for different purposes i briefly mentioned in the video the cylinder mower would be a better choice for a well maintained yard to manicure.
the rotary on the other hand just gets the job done for me without any fuss which is what i needed given the over growth of weed in the yard and difference is clear 🤙

Hi Sunni. If you still have your Ryobi cylinder mower I will buy it from you.
My lawn would be perfect for that type of mower. Greg

@@takeanotherlook One thing , you can mow without the cat her on a middle high setting. Of course you can follow up with a low setting same day ...also no catcher

Sound is very low. Cant believe Ozito doesnt come with a cable. I would suggest heavy duty extension cable with a circuit breaker at the wall plug. There is a hook on the handle to help stop the cables parting rather than a granny knot. Ive used lots of electric mowers in the UK, Flymo and Qualcast were the most common. I think better built as the Ozito look a bit cheap.
Exclusive to Bunnings and replacement warranty sounds a bit chinese landfill too...but hope Im wrong.

yet to have a pro set up for the sound, cheers for the comments tho 🙏
yeah fair point you raised built quality can be subjective as to what you would expect from a A$155 mower, for me the motor is rock solid, the plastic takes more beating just cause i swing it and bounce it off the wall a bit. the catcher i expected to give up early but coming home to 3rd year now no issues what so ever, just got a dull blade because of the pavers which i sharpened few times, there is an option to get new blades. so over all very happy about this mower without the hassle of running out of petrol or battery. 🤙
definitely would recommend over the smaller or the battery powered one.

mate why mute the sound when running the mower

    • @takeanotherlook
      @takeanotherlook  3 роки тому +2

good question mate, when I was editing the video, I left the sound as is, then showed it to my wife; she already watches me mowing in real life, and she couldn’t bear to watch a video of me mowing all over again 😂
changed the sound to music and it was more tolerable to watch even for me mate.

It’s not an equal comparison- electric rotary vs cylinder battery , if your going to do these things at least use same machines

*This mower....... changed my life **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend I never thought I would see the day when I would ever make the switch to electric yard tools. But this was one of my best decisions yet. My old 15+ year old gas mower snapped its pull string while trying to get it to fire up and instead of fixing it, I chose to upgrade instead.*
