- Chris Doleman is one of the best pass rushers and defensive ends ever, it's bizarre that someone who is 5th all-time in sacks and played such a marquee position has gone relatively unknown to the passage of history and this is the only highlight video available of him on this platform.
The Julius Peppers of the 80's and 90's, Doleman played in several cities and was a sack master in all of them. He was as big, athletic and skilled as any defensive end in his era not named Reggie White.

Rest in peace.
Ik it’s depressing
rest in peace chris doleman
Rip
Doleman & Millard was an awesome combo. I remember when they asked Randle Cunningham at the Pro Bowl who was he glad was on his team this time. He said, Doleman. Nearly every time he would get his, laying on the turf and look up and there was Doleman. RIP we miss you big guy!
RIP, big man.
Nice video!
He was an awesome player who had the ability to defend both run and pass exceptionally well. I thought he should have won defensive player of the year in 1989.
Matt Blair #59 Hall of Fame yeah, one of the more underrated players in history. Millard, his teammate won it as I’m sure you know, and they had Al Noga who finished with 11.5 that year as well. That 1989 pass rush was one of the best the league will ever see
Rest in paradise Chris Doleman HOF'er.

RIP
My condolences to the Doleman family, all knew him and his fans. I live in MN, it was so fun to watch Chris play. On any play he might get a sack and when you saw that arm come up there was a good chance he was going to cause a fumble. The second best player ever to wear #56. R.I.P. Chris
R.I.P. CHRIS DOLEMAN
this card worth enny thing 1990 pro Bowl.enny one
My favorite Viking ever. One of the most underrated defenders in NFL history
Legend. Period.
Troy Aikman, Boomer Esiason, and Phil Simms....all NFL TV quarterbacks doing the commentating on Sundays -- all know how fast Chris Doleman was.
He was a great pass rushers R.I.P. Doleman 🙏
A line with "Hammering Hank" Henry Thomas , Kieth "my arms are more powerful than your guns" Millard and Chris Coleman was something to see . I mean the 90's in purple was crazy with the additions of John Randle and Al Noga etc . The Metrodome was rocking on Sundays
League did not know what do with him when they moved him to defensive end. 21 sacks 3rd year as DE.
Rip
I actually had the pleasure of meeting him once. He was really cordial and had a great smile. As I was standing next to him it occurred to me that his biceps were bigger than my thighs. Just a crazy talented guy.
GOD SPEED-REST IN POWER C.D.💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.
This is the first time I've seen any of his plays. He was killing those blockers. At 3:20 you just see the left tackle get pushed aside like a little kid and Doleman comes in the picture and lays out the QB. Impressive!
we were 1 defense DOLEMAN destroyed blockers crushing QB he and MILLARD WITH HENRY THOMAS JOEY BROWNER TOO WAS FUN TO WATCH
Rip
Rip to a great
One of my all time favorite players on the Vikings next to Allen Page, R.I.P. Chris you will be missed !!!
Man that defense was good. Doleman, Millard, Henry Thomas and Al Noga on the line, Keith Millard at LB and Joey Browner and Carl Lee in the backfield.
Kobe. Now him. Why...
Doleman reminds me so much of Hunter; lean, mean, fighting machine.
Didn't realize he was rushing left tackles
I didn't know he was gone. But, he was literally almost as good of a 49er as he was a Viking! I was surprised at that stat. He was an old player by then and you don't see that much at all--esp. where your position hinges on speed. Some kind of a player right there!
I saw him play for you niners he was great but started to slow a bit
@@odinskolnationragnar9528 His stats agree with me, too. Go look and see...
@@pattrell5257 yeah guess so he was a beast
Can’t believe I’m never heard of this guy until I seen a sack list. What a beast. I was too young to witness his greatness . I started watching football from the 2000
REST IN PEACE CHRIS!!!! You have given me A LOT OF MEMORIES OF #56. 😢🙏
Another legend gone.
Rest in peace, see you on the other side.
R.I.P 🙏🏼✊🏼💯
Watched his entire career. Was a consummate professional and a great family man. The sport lost a great one. Rest in peace, Chris.
