I started to think of LT as the monster from the Alien movies. His speed, approach and aggressiveness were frightening. If you watch him, from snap he pursues at a constant shallow angle to the field as if he is about to make a tackle and plays that way to point of contact. At no point does he let up or become even remotely vertical. Tough as nails - he went into each and every play like he was going to own it. LT would still be the greatest defensive player we have if we signed him today
Fines and flag
I think you are underestimating talent the NFL has on defense.
King Cobra there is NO ONE in the league rn in Lawrence Taylor’s level and that’s a fact
LT said it best. "If I played today they would have to give me part ownership of the team"
@@michaeldavid145 IDK Prime Jadeveon Clowney is a fuckin beast
The greatest defensive player I ever watched.
I am an old man and I’ve seen many linebackers through the years, but Lawrence Taylor is the hands down, without a doubt best of all time. He was and always will be the best defensive player I’ve ever had the pleasure to see. The Entire Giants defense was phenomenal, but LT stood above them all. 👍🏻💪🏻🇺🇸
As a Raider fan all my life, I had a poster of him on my wall growing up. He is the best Player ever period. 1986 i was 11 years-old and he was absolutely the best that year.
Was it the intimidation poster?
That’s so dope a raider fan but had a LT poster he had to be a bad man!!!!
Saw almost every home game of his entire career in Giants Stadium. There is nothing like seeing him play live. He was simply the best defensive player I have ever seen, period.
This brings back awesome memories. The football NY Giants had a very exciting defense in those days.
LT the best player to ever live also nown as my favorite player. the real LT
Watching Taylor in this video takes me right back to when I use to see this man dominate the field with his unique style, made me smile,
LT 👏🏽
Life long pro football fan (52yrs old) hands down the greatest LB I've ever seen or defensive player for that matter
def i gotta give my man ray second 💯
When Mike Tyson was at his prime so was LT
Mike was in a club with a bodyguard and LT walked in
Mikes bodyguard walked over to LT and asked for an autograph.
He said LT was like Elvis and he was
@jamesk479 Coke was everywhere then....Everyone was doing coke. It was sickening.
@jamesk479 Tom Brady does coke but no one talks about it
@@irecruitfish7410 Brady is the GOAT, but he still felt the need to cheat.
Tyson said people would push him aside to go see LT.
My friends dad told me a story about how he was put in NYC at a club and needed to piss. Lts people had the bathroom locked down so he couldn't chop it up. He had to wait. Dont know how true it is but he was an honest guy
He’s simply THE GREATEST EVER!
The GOATs of both football and basketball graduated from UNC. What a coincidence.
LT was the most dominating defensive player i ever saw. Best Giant ever. Best linebacker ever.
"If you don't know what you're doing just rush the quarterback, hell see what happens" beat drops I ascend to another dimension
His close in speed was underrated
Prime LT was superhuman, seeing a guy that big run and pivot as fast as he could was remarkable.
💬🤔 think: LT hit the pipe, pure psycho
I'm just amazed at the explosiveness he had off of the line of scrimmage, most of the time it almost looked like he was off sides, but his reaction time was just that much better than everyone else's.
Makes me proud as a Giants fan to say we arguably had the greatest singular talent the NFL has ever seen.
Lying to yourself to feel better is a mental disease.
Richard DeCredico Are you fucking stupid?
@@southside6093 yes, he is. LT changed the game. You can see he was on a different level than everyone else.
I am a Cowboys fan and there is no doubt he was the best. The most dominant player ever
I had the honor of watching L.T. when I was a kid. He was such a beast he had whole teams draft game plans to contain him. Problem was if you focused solely on him another lineman or linebacker was in the QB face. He was an animal of a linebacker.
I know that this is a highlight reel, but damn that man could play.
I've been watching Lawrence Taylor since UA-cam took off over a decade ago and when his highlights are better than any other in NFL history this will remain the greatest defensive player of all time
L.T THE GOAT NO DEBATE 100% PURE TALENT . I ENJOY WATCHING HIS HIGHLIGHTS HE WAS ABOUT BUSINESS ON THE FIELD
Straight up, the best LB I ever saw, no doubt.
This is one of the greatest highlights I've ever seen. I'm in awe!!!!!!!!
LT revolutionized the game. Greatest LB ever
The original Beast Mode. The dude was a badass!
Remember back in the day when defensive players were allowed to actually tackle the quarter back?? Those were the days.
Lt was intercepting balls and running them back for touchdowns that's why I'd pick him over Reggie White defensively.
That's a tough call. Reggie was a de. Hard to make ints as a de.. But def 2 of the best if not the best at their positions.
Reggie White was great in his own right but LT put the Giants on his back to 2 super bowl victories. Even though Reggie won a super bowl with the Packers, he never could get the Eagles to the promised land, not taking anything away from Reggie's greatness
Had RW played linebacker and was dominant as he was a DE, I maybe would've given
RW a slight edge but it would still be tough to call.
@Jeremiah Green it was Joe Theismann
The Heisman trophy was named after John Heisman
@@MrMarmarsFilms those eagles teams, and I'm an eagles fan didnt have a whole lot of offense. Good offensive players but not a high scoring one.
He’s literally the football equivalent of a prime Mike Tyson
LT was the best and most dominate player to ever play sports. I am so happy I watched his whole career. The stuff he did was one of kind. We are always looking for the next LT. And it will always be that way because there will never be another LT. Scared the bejesus out of people.
Sad how it’s changed. He’d have a thousand roughing the passer calls
tucker Prestridge idk even tho he hit hard a lot of his tackles were really clean.
Jason Rivas yeah for sure but roughing the passer unnecessary roughness even though it’s clean refs won’t accept hard hits on the qb while he’s in the pocket no matter what especially fully body weight hits
He’s why we got players that can play the edge AND cover cuz of the athletes of today even tho the trend is starting to become undersized outside linebackers cuz most teams are pass heavy in today’s game
It’s sad how everything is changed in the NFL
@@primateproductions126 i miss the old school NFL too but some of these older players' health is really fucked up for the long-term.. would prefer protecting our nation's greatest athletes into old age
LT; Total FREAK OF NATURE!! Best pass rusher EVER! I seriously doubt that the NFL will EVER see anyone of that caliber again!!
A linebacker with WR speed and DT strength!
Because of LT I loved watching the Giants defense way more then their offense!!
I don't care what people say I freaking LOVE LT lawrence taylor all day baby! Savage!
LT could do everything sack the QB drop in coverage he was unstoppable. 🐐. Hands down he's my favorite football player of all time.
Lawrence Taylor was one of the greatest players ever to play the game 11/12/21
He was Relentless. Growing up in Ct. I had the chance to Watch him every Sunday and it was a privilege.
I grew up Blue. I remember watching LT as a kid and how electrifying he made everything. The guy made football exciting for NY fans from the standstill it had been leading up to him. Both of my sons played primarily D in their pee wee and HS days, and it always exciting whenever they were lucky enough to pull "56" from the jersey pool.
A real NFL legend!
My dad tells me all the time how electric it was watching LT on Sundays. Every game he made a big play. Couldn’t be prouder to be a new York FOOTBALL Giants fan because of him
There will never be another LT
The way his teammate described him was awesome. Superman 3 well deserved.
Quite simply the best football player I’ve ever seen. Period‼️
Got that right
LT was the most dominate linebacker I've ever seen. I've never seen another player that could literally dominate a game.
The combination of relentlessness and athleticism was lethal. The sheer impact of it ended Joe Theismann's career, just an absolute terminator on the field.
I will never forget that MNF game! I hated the skins, but that image of Joe tore me up! Greatest defensive player of all-time!
"One man cannot block Lawrence Taylor!" Damn that speaks volumes of this mans strength. 💪🏿
Greatest combination of speed and power I've ever seen play the game of football 🏈.
The greatest most feared player in NFL history

@@lathamarea1437 LOL Butkus was playing against O lineman that were 250-260 tops. LT was playing against 300 lb monsters.
I'd have to say he's the best ever....he changed the game and everyone has been looking for a LT ever since!
A man among boys, a force of nature!
I love the story about how intimidating he was that the opponents would look around for him while he wasnt even on the field on certain downs
There is a story about a quarterback (not sure who) that was looking for LT and couldn’t spot him so he called a time out only to find out that he was on the sideline. Dude was very intimidating.

*gasp*
The NFL has never seen anyone like him, and never will again! That’s why he’s the defensive GOAT 🐐!
Keep an eye on Micah Parsons
He can make Satan scared that’s how vicious LT was!
@@vicn1349Michah can't fill his shoes. LT cant only come up and pressure the QB, he can also be out in the open field and pick him off as well, which gives him the edge altogether.

Back when the rules made sense. LT is definitely the GOAT 🐐

Mr Tom Brady wouldn't have stood a chance I watched L.T. play he would have crushed any quarterback of any time period. Nobody wanted to see him on the field except Big blue fans..
Greatest defensive player of all time!!!
He was so fun to watch. True beast. One of the best ever. Great video
The amount of fumbles he created is insane
LT was a beast, and I am blessed to have seen him play his whole career!

Lawrence Taylor was the reason started watching football to start with
LT is by far the greatest defensive player ever. He would be equally dominating today. The only LB I have seen get to Randall Cunningham at his peak. Amazing to watch
I Love listening to John Madden commentate. Classic!
