Superb band ! Sadly only Barry Gibb is alive now :( Little bit of pointless info ..Maurice Gibb was married to the Scottish Singer Lulu ! Born on the Isle of Man to English parents, the Gibb brothers Barry, Robin & Maurice lived in Chorlton, Manchester, England, until the late 1950s. There, in 1955, they formed the skiffle/rock and roll group the Rattlesnakes. The family then moved to Redcliffe, in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia, later to Cribb Island. After achieving their first chart successes in Australia as the Bee Gees, they returned to the UK in January 1967, when producer Robert Stigwood began promoting them to a worldwide audience. The Bee Gees' Saturday Night Fever soundtrack (1977) was the turning point of their career, with both the film and soundtrack having a cultural impact throughout the world, enhancing the disco scene's mainstream appeal. While I'm not a super-fan, I DO think this trio has/had the best falsetto harmonies EVER! I think they were also VERY adept at choosing good backing instrumentalists. Great reaction!!
Bee Gees used horns in about everything. I can't think of anything specifically they didn't use horns in. At the ages of 5 and 8 their mom went to their room to have them turn down the radio and found it was her son's singing in perfect three part harmony. They started performing when they were 6 and 9. Fanny Be Tender. Nights On Broadway. Love You Inside Out.
@kath... Yup. That was a special guesting of the Chicago horn section in the intro of the song: Chicago horn section. Lee Loughnane-trumpet, James Pankow-trombone, Walter Parazaider-saxophone. The band was recording that time with their album "Alive Again" at Criteria Studios were The Gibbs were recording their "Spirits" album. Barry returned the favor by appearing on the Chicago song "Little Miss Lovin'" with his yah-yahs falsetto ad libs and some velvetty subtle background ahhhss... at the fade section of "No Tell Lover".
Great reaction. Bee Gees are legends. Didn't realize how diverse they are /were when I was younger. They have so many great songs. Try "Love You Inside Out" and " You Should Be Dancing" If you likr Horns, TOTO and Chicago are great!
There is another brother Andy Gibb that was a singer by himself. Barry Gibb wrote a lot of his music and would be a music producer too. Andy died around 30 years old because of drugs.
1970's No cable, no electronics, Radio and Walkman were all people has, cable was not in our cities was back then, We brought revors, listeria to Bb Gees, Too Much Heaven over and over were indeed Heaven❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Enjoyed hanging out with you as well. Kool channel, a great reaction, . . Not to much, not to little. . . HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE, the next Bee Gee's hit you'll love. . . Other band musicality and horns you'll love is NEVER TEAR US APPERT, (official video) by INXS. . MUCH LOVE ❤❤❤❤❤ ✌👍🙏🖖🇩🇰🇺🇸🏴☠️
Have e you heard their grandkids sing??? They are also fabulous! I was shocked to learn of them and had no idea they were even singing. Yes, this is a great song. Today's music mostly leaves out the beautiful sounds of horns and other wind instruments, as well as orchestra string instruments. This is a lovely sound. Thank you for bringing it back and sharing with us❣️
Barry is the lead. The other two are twins, Robin on the left with his hands on his hips. Maurice (pronounced Morris commonly known as Mo) is on the right in the black shirt. Maurice died in 2003 of intestinal problems and Robin in 2012 from cancer. Younger brother Andy died in 1998 from myocarditis probably made worse from years of drug abuse. It technically was not a drug overdose. Hate that that is the reason most people believe. Barry is still alive at age 77. Sir Barry was knighted in 2018 by then Prince Charles. He just became a Kennedy Center Honoree. You should try to watch a video of each one singing lead. Their voices are so different to harmonize so well. They can all sing falsetto, but Barry usually does it.
your too young to know this but these are only 3 of the brohters they have a younger brother that akso did great in the music business his name was Andy Gibb and there children are great singers also and if you really like Barry's voice the solo singer here he dueted with Barbara Striesabd for a few songs and they sing so well together also
Yeah Andy Gibb did release 3 Albums in the late 70,s early 80,s ,but i believe he was a troubled soul with drug addiction ! Think he died in the 80,s due to a heart problem brought on by his past health problems :(
Barrys Falsetto and thise beautiful harmonies with Robin and Maurice making my head tingle for 20 years! Thus song is so beautiful. A small piece of heaven. So happy to have grown up with such great music like tge Brothers Gibb! They are one of a kind and sadley we will never hear those heavenly harmonies again. ❤❤❤❤❤❤Love the Gibbs.

Ooo the BeeGees, I remember them well! Not usually on my radar for anything but curiosity! My favourite track of theirs was Massachusetts. It was a really cool song, there’s an acoustic version out there somewhere which was amazing! More please!
He's still married to the same woman that he was when he wrote/performed this song! He is selling it, but he clearly meant it too. I could recommend several Bee Gees songs, but I know others will. Instead -- and based on what you liked in this song -- please let me suggest Spandau Ballet's True (1985 #1 hit).
Barry please stay healthy. I obviously had albums but these guys were grown men to me and I didn't even know the title of this song yet heard it hundreds of times. These brothers were God's gift to wholesome ✨️ music in the 70s! Their lyrics ars so beautiful 😍
Bee Gees are the best & lovin' your "vibe" (as you call it!) as well! You're hearing & eyeing Sir Barry Gibb! Please consider reacting to How Deep Is Your Love or Fanny.🎶
the authenticity behind your words reacting to this wonderful classic is amazing. One day, a producer told Barry to try falsetto, he did; and the rest is history
This song, about the difficulty of finding then retaining love is juxtaposed to Stevie Wonder's great and lush ballad "Overjoyed", about unrequited love. Give that a listen
don't mess with sibling harmony.. they are perfect and also the best song writers I think of the 70's..the Jackson's and Osmond's also had great harmonies.. again.. sibling harmonies.. can't touch it.
A little background: Love your Bee Gee reactions of the brothers (Barry - the tallest with the beard, Robin, no beard, & Maurice, the shortest with beard - Gibb) who wrote the words & music to all their songs, as well as songs for other artists. They were also Producers and played instruments on their records! They had hits in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, for a 5 decade career! You can find videos of them performing on TV as early as 1960 when they were just children. Barry, the oldest, is the only one still alive today. He's living in Miami with his wife, Linda, of over 53 years! They also had a younger brother, Andy Gibb, who had a great solo career. He worked closely with his brothers (particularly Barry) in writing, producing, and doing background on many of Andy's songs! Andy also passed. --------------------- I’m not sure if you’ve reacted to any of these, but here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) You reacted to this one. Tonight, Dec 27, Sir Barry Gibb will be one of the Kennedy Center honorees, broadcast at 8:00 I believe. He is the last brother still with us. RIP Andy, Maurice & Robin❤❤❤❤
This song was from 1979, after the Brothers Gibb (B G's, get it) hit it big with Saturday Night Fever. There were four, Barry, and the twins Robin and Maurice (Morris). Andy Gibb was their younger brother who hit it big as a solo artist but alas passed away. young
There were actually some very famous brother bands from this era. The BeeGees were probably the most famous, followed closely by the Beach Boys with their harmonies. Jackson 5 (where Michael Jackson got his start) were also well known.
Osmond Brothers , Defranco Family and the Everly Brothers . The Beach Boys weren't all family members, 3 were brothers in the band. The other 2 were a cousin and a friend. They also ended up with many replacements and later added members for specials.
They were and still are the best. Before you talk about someone and their music. Make sure you do your homework. You don't seem to know them at all. Barry you may be the last but I will never forget you or the three brothers. I love you.❤❤
Truly enjoy checking out your reactions. Here is a suggestion that I am sure that you and your listeners will enjoy. The Bee Gees "I Surrender" The Promotional Video version.
Unbelievable your analysis was , you added so much more to this, than I ve heard. Fantastic job!! A real pleasure to watch this with the accuracy and depth you brought to it!! ❤
It’s an amazing thing that you mentioned about families singing together. I’m 56 and have been playing in bands since I was 17 and my son is 28 and his band recently won the New Zealand battle of the bands competition. But we have a side hustle where we play cafes, breweries, restaurants with acoustic numbers and I find it so much easier to sing with him than anyone in all my years of being a musician. We seem to just know the notes instinctively and only need a quick glance if we need to communicate something. I’m not comparing us with the Gibb brothers for one moment but just wanted to mention that what you say is 100% bang on
Chicago always had a lotta horns in their arrangements. Also Earth, Wind, and Fire comes to mind. Also, Barry called Maurice "Mo," and despite the spelling Maurice, for them, was pronounced Morris. As if the weren't angelic enough, they donated the proceeds from this song to UNICEF. They didn't need to see each other. They'd been singing together since childhood. It's second nature.
I believe that Chicago was the first rock band with an established horn section. The Bee Gees' younger brother Andy was also a popular artist in the late 70's, early 80's.
Such a great harmony trio, though there was another brother solo artist RIP Andy Gibb, amazing songwriters also, not just disco where everyone is more familiar with them.
You need to listen to Chris Stapleton's COLD at the CMA awards!!! The orchestra is great in that!!! If you want more Bee Gees, there's a lot to choose from .... Tragedy, I Started A Joke, Massachusetts, To Love Somebody, Words, Nights on Broadway, Fanny Be Tender, More Than A Woman ..... I could go on forever!
I see a lot of people here pointing you in all kinds of directions, but you asked for good BeeGee songs. Nights on Broadway How Deep is your Love Tragedy Fanny (be tender with my love) Jive Talk'in You Should be Dancing To Love Somebody Night Fever More then a Woman Love you inside out How can you mend a Broken Heart Boogie Child The BeeGees is a very Deep rabbit hole. Especially when you look into the 100's of song they wrote for other great stars (celin dion, barbara streisand....)
Thanks, K - those Gibb boys... lol ... hope you get around to some more.. especially those featuring Robin (my personal favorite...).. appreciate your reaction to this... (p.s. they were singing together as young children.... Barry is a few years older, and Robin and Mo are twins... )
The song was part of unicef fundraising that helped to make 10 million dollars.. Barry is the oldest brother. Robin and Maurice are twins and they had a young brother called Andy.
They are an awesome group the best group ever! Barry really did it Justice! They did the best harmonies. They wrote their own songs and! The osmands are another boy band but I think the BeeGees are the best! And I’m glad 🙂 Barry is keeping the group’s songs still playing and that we can see them and hear them! Barry put s his feelings out there…….😊🥰
I suggest you listen to inside and out if you want to hear a heartbreaking song and here the amazing harmony of these three brothers the one and only Bee Gees
One in the middle is Barry Gibb. He is lone Bee Gee. Barry and his brothers sing together since 1958. Besides singing, Brothers Gibb has written over 1,000 songs for other artists such as Kenny Rogers and Barbara Streisand.
Nothing beats '70s studio musical arrangements in pop songs. A perfect mixture of natural acoustic/symphonic sounds, and electronic/keyboard synth sounds. A happy, upbeat '70s tune with a FANTASTIC studio arrangement is Elton John's, "Philadelphia Freedom."
No autotune, just pure raw talent. They were song writers extraordinaire...and easy on the eyes 😂
Very easy on the eyes
Yep, auto tune was not even invented yet!

At the ages of 5 and 8 their mom went to their room to have them turn down the radio and found it was her son's singing in perfect three part harmony. They started performing when they were 6 and 9.
Fanny Be Tender.
Nights On Broadway.
Love You Inside Out.
@kath...
Yup. That was a special guesting of the Chicago horn section in the intro of the song:
Chicago horn section.
The Chicago horn section appeared more full blast on the song STOP! Think Again with Barry's predominant ballad falsetto.
Great reaction. Bee Gees are legends. Didn't realize how diverse they are /were when I was younger. They have so many great songs. Try "Love You Inside Out" and " You Should Be Dancing"
If you likr Horns, TOTO and Chicago are great!
Yes the older classics are really the best. PLEASE look into more of them, there are hundreds of them and you'd love them.
Harmonies do not get any better than this. Perfection!
There is another brother Andy Gibb that was a singer by himself. Barry Gibb wrote a lot of his music and would be a music producer too. Andy died around 30 years old because of drugs.
The magic of talent.
💯
Amazing bang and history - i hope you go on this journey
We took this amazing talent for granted in the 70's, thinking music would only get better! Ha! No.
1970's
No cable, no electronics,
Radio and Walkman were all people has, cable was not in our cities was back then,
We brought revors, listeria to Bb Gees, Too Much Heaven over and over were indeed Heaven❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Enjoyed hanging out with you as well. Kool channel, a great reaction, . . Not to much, not to little. . . HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE, the next Bee Gee's hit you'll love. . . Other band musicality and horns you'll love is NEVER TEAR US APPERT, (official video) by INXS. . MUCH LOVE ❤❤❤❤❤
✌👍🙏🖖🇩🇰🇺🇸🏴☠️
The Brothers Gibb... the B G's. Bee Gees. My mother was a big fan of them, when I was a small child.
When their brother Andy sang with them, boy they had such a beautiful harmony that was out of this world.
bee gees love you inside out
Godley heavenly anjelic heartfelt smooth great music from my time 😊
All you had to do was listen to these songs, close your eyes and dream
A man just can't get any better looking than Barry Gibb!
You've got that right, Anthony!😉
@@kthor Isn't this the truth, Mabel?
Have e you heard their grandkids sing??? They are also fabulous! I was shocked to learn of them and had no idea they were even singing.
Yes, this is a great song. Today's music mostly leaves out the beautiful sounds of horns and other wind instruments, as well as orchestra string instruments. This is a lovely sound. Thank you for bringing it back and sharing with us❣️
Is there a video on UA-cam ? I'd really like to check it out ! Thanks and have a good day !
@@averteddisasterbarely2339 Same here -- didn't know their grandkids were also singers -- how cool!
Robin was a marvelous lead, as well.
Fanny (Be Tender With My Love) is my fav.
your too young to know this but these are only 3 of the brohters they have a younger brother that akso did great in the music business his name was Andy Gibb and there children are great singers also and if you really like Barry's voice the solo singer here he dueted with Barbara Striesabd for a few songs and they sing so well together also
Yeah Andy Gibb did release 3 Albums in the late 70,s early 80,s ,but i believe he was a troubled soul with drug addiction !
Chicago will excite you with their horns. Please listen to their music. They are the best.
Also add Blood, Sweat, and Tears to your short list of bands with great horn sections!
If you are a fan of horns, go for "Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4"
Oooh thank you!
@@KoalityReactions Interestingly Chicago re-released a completely different version of 25 or 6 to 4 on the album Chicago 18 & I grew up with the original & love it very much. But Damn! I love the remake too. Much more intense! Please don't pass it by.
Great Voices!! Great Band! Great Track! Great Reaction!!!! Thank You so Much ✌✌✌ 🇦🇺
Try Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street
Loved the BeeGees as a teenager. Maybe you could look at The Walker Brothers The Sun ain’t gonna Shine Anymore or The Everly Brothers All I Have to do is Dream
Ooo the BeeGees, I remember them well! Not usually on my radar for anything but curiosity! My favourite track of theirs was Massachusetts. It was a really cool song, there’s an acoustic version out there somewhere which was amazing!
More please!
Yes so fun!!
Robin and Maurice were twins even deepening that magic vocal sync
Three brothers with stunning voices!
What could go wrong
Global superstars in their prime
But they had hits in four different decades
the authenticity behind your words reacting to this wonderful classic is amazing.
A little background:
Love your Bee Gee reactions of the brothers (Barry - the tallest with the beard, Robin, no beard, & Maurice, the shortest with beard - Gibb) who wrote the words & music to all their songs, as well as songs for other artists.

Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung) -- alone or with his brothers (Robin & Maurice Gibb):
If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman)
Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and Barry did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs.
Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD with Barry doing a lot of background vocals.
Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals.
Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals.
Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent!
More Than a Woman (Tavares)
Love Me (Yvonne Elliman)
Come on Over (Olivia Newton John)
Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it.
Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli)
Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer)
Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb
A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;)
Barry is pouring his heart out telling his wife how in love he's in with her.
Unchained melody with the Righteous Brothers has a fantastic orchestra arrangement and the horns are very prominent in the later part of the song.
They were and still are the best. Before you talk about someone and their music. Make sure you do your homework. You don't seem to know them at all. Barry you may be the last but I will never forget you or the three brothers. I love you.❤❤
They put out the greatest movie sound track of all time Saturday night Fever many #1 Hits!
@@bartfloyd4538 oh wow, that’s so kind - thank you!!! 🤍
@@KoalityReactions You’re welcome Jenna!!
Please react to their younger brother Andy Gibb on Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. He was awesome too.
Lots of brass with Steely Dan and Chicago, also.
You can really see these guys singing their hearts out.
Grandma and grandpa already knew what was good.
It's nice that people like you make sure she isn't forgotten.
Such a great harmony trio, though there was another brother solo artist RIP Andy Gibb, amazing songwriters also, not just disco where everyone is more familiar with them.
They were prolific songwriters and wrote hits for several other artists, some in different genres.
The Osmonds are all brothers!!!!!!!!!
I love to watch the reaction of various ethic groups to this love song both the lyrics and harmonize.
If you're looking for horns and instrumentation that are out of this world look for anything Earth Wind & Fire
During the 60's they did have some hits singing in a lower register(Robin singing "I Started a Joke ",Barry(clean shaven)singing
I see a lot of people here pointing you in all kinds of directions, but you asked for good BeeGee songs.
Nights on Broadway
How Deep is your Love
Tragedy
Fanny (be tender with my love)
Jive Talk'in
You Should be Dancing
To Love Somebody
Night Fever
More then a Woman
Love you inside out
How can you mend a Broken Heart
Boogie Child
The BeeGees is a very Deep rabbit hole. Especially when you look into the 100's of song they wrote for other great stars (celin dion, barbara streisand....)
All three great singers. Listen to their brother Andy. Written so many songs which have been performed by so many different artists.
KOALITY, YOU HAVE GIVEN THE BEST EXPLANATION OF THE LYRICS I HAVE HEARD TO DATE.
Barry put s his feelings out there…….😊🥰
They were singing together, since Barry, the middle singer, was 8 years old, and Maurice and Robin were 5 years old.
I suggest you listen to inside and out if you want to hear a heartbreaking song and here the amazing harmony of these three brothers the one and only Bee Gees
Thank you for your reaction! The Osmonds is another 70s brothers group you may want to check out.
One of my favorite Bee Gees songs - Great video!!
One in the middle is Barry Gibb. He is lone Bee Gee. Barry and his brothers sing together since 1958. Besides singing, Brothers Gibb has written over 1,000 songs for other artists such as Kenny Rogers and Barbara Streisand.
You might want to listen to Jeff Lynne’s ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). Phenomenal talent.
BOTH MUST HEAR Classics,, The Bee Gees "I've Gotta Get A Message To You" & "I Started A Joke" ❤
Osmond Brothers, Jackson 5 and Everly Brothers come immediately to mind.
Nothing beats '70s studio musical arrangements in pop songs. A perfect mixture of natural acoustic/symphonic sounds, and electronic/keyboard synth sounds.
A happy, upbeat '70s tune with a FANTASTIC studio arrangement is Elton John's, "Philadelphia Freedom."
Dude, I'm in love with her, she's so beautiful
You are so pretty. It is really awesome that u actually did a reaction,, thank you
"Lights" by Journey live 1980 tour is AMAZING!!
