    Perfect timing.I just got done watching this today!
    Interestingly,one person who was heavily campaigning for the part of Brody was Charlton Heston!Spielberg resisted because if you put Heston in a role,you only see Charlton Heston,not the character,and you pretty much know he wasn't in any danger!

      Can't see any other actors in any of the three main roles except perhaps Jeff Bridges as Hooper. He was convincing as the ape expert in King Kong 1976 and brought much of the humour to Thunderbolt and Lightfoot in 1974. If he'd mashed the two roles together he would have made a great Hooper, and physically he resembled the Hooper from the novel.
