Ermin, you should try LFS, It's an old racing game and I would like to know your opinion about it, It recently got an update that let's you use modded cars online, making it a lot more diverse then It was back then.
As someone who has actually driven low hp rally, i can tell you that something does not feel right with BeamNG.. you would have more traction on dirt and even tarmac with the tires that are used. yes, of course its not like driving on rails, but i feel like BeamNG makes it feel like im driving on wet tarmac roads rather than getting the grip from the tires digging into the gravel. im not saying everything is bad, but the feel of traction just does not feel realistic from my experience. other than that, i love the game and wish other rally games would implement more damage physics into their games :)
The thing I find most infuriating about racing sims is the lack of fine response. In real life I never have issues staying in the middle of my lane, but in a racing sim I weave all over the road. The reason is if you pay attention to how much you move the wheel to round a curve in real life it's barely anything, it's essentially micromovements, and more pressure application than anything. Even with force feedback I've never felt real feedback in a sim. I find that in a sim when the car starts to drift to one side I start apply slight counter movement but the response is...nothing. In real life you can feel pressure change on the wheel even from a slight camber change or asymmetric drag, and subconsciously correct it. For example, in a Lancia Stratos most people would have no issue going around a hairpin at 10-20 km/h staying within centimeters of the desired path. In a racing sim only elite players have such control.
I initially liked this thing for it’s looks and for the idea of it, but after racing my hardest on two rally courses and not managing to come close to my time in any other rally car (not even the Piccolina with 3x less power to weight), I’ve realized that this thing is just not capable. Definitely needs a complete retune.

Probably because small issues are less prevalent in the lower powered cars, but this car is straight suicidal all the time. At no point does any of the configs want to go remotely fast or in anything resembling a straight line.
@@JZStudiosonline Actually, I've had no particular troubles with any of the variants except the Group 4 Rally and the Group 5 Race variants. The Group 5 wasn't so bad too start with, either, but Ermin complained about understeery brakes, and sure enough, the devs came out with an update that makes the brakes completely oversteery, because they couldn't just do a small tweak (I think they went from 58% front brake bias to 54% or something. Could've just done 57% or 56%). All the other variants consistently understeer; even the Top Speed variant, which should be unstable without the wing, still understeers like crazy. Normally, downforce would increase grip at higher speeds, but the Notte variant actually loses front end grip when it's already understeery. I think the aero model sucks ass, to be honest. Maybe this car could be better with a tune? Not an expert on that tho, but still worth a try
So Ermz, how do you find the driving experience in beam compared to AC?
Infinitely better. You won't regret buying it RIGHT NOW.
I far prefer it, but naturally you'll also find a lot of people who disagree with that.
@@Ermz Well, but in what way? Or did you already talk about it before?
Now, I like AC a lot but first time I drove AMS2 with that uh... v8 SPC thing on Interlagos, wow. Felt like rubber.
AC doesn't feel like rubber. In fact, I really dislike how it feels when I'm driving out of pits on Nords.
It feels pretty decent at speed but still somewhat lacking in physicality.
And I did try Beamng before but pc too slow so I'm waiting for new stuff to arrive, hopefully just a cpu upgrade will be enough (from 2nd to 11th gen Intel).
@@ID1visor there not comparable, I have em both and use em the same amount of time.
personally love how original ac drives, even for its terrible low speed grip. beam is definitely more varied and does dirt racing better than anything else imo (havent tried rbr).
beams ffb is definitely more vague compared to ac, but im yet to find a sim that has the same detailed ffb as ac. very different but both worth it. top 2 sims for me.
Thank you for reminding me what I wanted !
Not sure if its harder but the Jungle rock island dirt stage 2 in the civetta was fun and hard to do
Personal best: 1:51,988 with the stock group 4 bolide on xbox controller
I know it’s a bit late but if you wanna try the same thing with a rear race sway bar it fixes the oversteer issues cause I’m not sure if you had it or not
The other hillclimb on Italy ( 100% asphalt to a small village on top og the mountain) is very fun as well, just need to do it in and old american muscle...
You should do a series of doing all of the different time trials on each map. Would enjoy
Wonder how much more difficult this is compared to driving RWD car on DR2.0 in Argentina. That's extemely difficult for me so more difficult than that would just be torture 😅
Rally on the dirt version of pikes peak on beam is thrilling
Haven't played this in awhile.
Looks like I need to get back to it.
hey mate How do I download real track mods like bathurst cuase its really confusing unlike content manager.
Is this an unlicensed Stratos or 037?.. Looks like both 😂
Would love you see try out the Pikes Peak mod. It's based on LIDAR data so pretty accurate and an absolute blast with the SBR4 Hillclimb car
How about the Rally Pikes Peak stage?
I mastered the car in 3 days but jumping kills after landing is so unstable
there is actually a mod that has preset rally scenarios with a spotter
That hillclimb but with the rocket bus
I would love to see a comparison between the cherrier fcv and civetta bolide
Just curious, wouldn't it have made more sense to drive the car at slightly higher than usual gears to avoid the traction from braking free at the wrong time? Or i've got this wrong?
Sort of remember Loeb's advice in a video interview on how to go faster sometime back, try to not break traction unnecessarily
true chads rock a drag race pigeon up this track
Civetta Bolide Group 4 Rally car on Old Pikes Peak (dirt) vs Ermin Hamidovic's arms, sanity and will to live
so glad beam is finally getting consistent attention
Oohh beam looks really good. I wasn't sure about getting it but it looks like a blast. Open world driving and it has hill climbs and things in it which seems fun. Gonna give it a try
hows it been going so far?
