wow only 266 views and 3 likes? This video is so underrated. Thanks a lot - that was great! you really nailed the instructions on disassembly / reassembly.
Just one suggestion - I wish you would emphasize at the begging of the video that laptop must be connected to the external charging cable to power back up, because if you don't watch the entire video to the very end and try reconnecting the laptop, you'll think you messed something up. in fact, i was about to toss the laptop out because i little metal pin came out of the flat strip over the battery and i assumed i can't power it back on because of that. I was ready to toss the laptop in trash, but had time this sunday afternoon and went through the entire disassembly / reassembly just out of curiosity. You can imagine how shocked i was to learn that little fact about connecting laptop to the power cable at the end. my laptop actually started.
So yeah, you might want to mention that at the very begging at the point where you disconnect that battery, please!
Also, i had a very similar problem to the one in the video - a little bit of liquid got on my screen and it pretty much stopped working. Works with external monitor. I looked carefully through all the cables and connections and found no damage whatsoever. My theory is - perhaps that liquid on a screen actually got into a screen at the bottom, where glass meets plastic, and perhaps that's why it doesn't work properly.
I actually would like to try replacing the screen myself. where would you recommend I find a replacement screen at best price?

Glad you didn't give up. The screens are actually extremely expensive for this model. This is what I'd order. amzn.to/40eGQKu

I'll take that into account in my future videos.

My laptop turns on now, but didn’t charge after 5 hours. Any advice?

Double check the ribbon cable and the metal tab.
