I’ve had a dog since I was born, and she’s actually the same age as me and when she’s happy she smiles at me, even at her old age she still acts like a puppy. she had a ton of babies but we only got to keep a few and I love her so much but she’s been getting very strange ups and downs over the past few months please pray for my dog!❤❤

I'll admit total cuteness overload, but then I like all puppies. BUT if I'm gonna adopt a dog, I'm gonna check out all the seniors first. They NEED a home. The pups will ALWAYS get adopted before the older ones do.

Remember that older dogs in shelters have a lot of love to give too. I adopted a 12- 1/2 terrier mix who was dumped because his owner 'thought' he had cancer. He didn't. He has turned out to be the funniest, most appreciative, loving and whacky dog we have ever owned. He's now 15+ and he makes us smile every day.
That makes me sick. That's why I like dogs more than people! That poor dog, dumped by his owner assumingly after 12 years of companionship? That is incomprehensible to me! What is WRONG WITH PEOPLE??? But then, there are people like you. Thank you for taking this poor animal in and giving him love. The more I live, the more I love dogs and the more I hate when people treat them badly. I suppose some people don't have a heart at all.
That's why I've always adopted senior dogs. I have 7 yr old Pit Bull currently and she is the youngest one so far. She is full of life, love and affectionate omg! I just love her to bits.
My last fur baby before her was 9 yr old staffy with cancer. We paid for his surgery and they got it all thankfully.
He lived anither full and happy 3 years with more love than he ever had in his whole life. We had a bond that could never be broken.
My last 2 dogs were seniors. My next one will be too!

Years ago I adopted a 12 year old Airedale/lab mix. My youngest daughter was 3 at the time and Toby was her best friend and protector. Lab/pit and Cane Corso mix dogs now. Idiots,but love them both.
