I’d be fine with waiting tbh, i’d probably just say ‘can i get an apple cider now and this really difficult drink when you have the time?’
Id tell them politely: it takes a long time to make these so if you dont wanna wait you could choose the xxxxxx drink that is faster to make
Its still your job to do so, isnt it? Why get upset? if the person is willing to wait theres nothing wrong with ordering what they like. If they get upset and be unreasonable then your totally right in being annoyed at them

If you’re making this at home, use a blender instead of a shaker! This was how my granddad always did it.
Yep, we either used an immulsion blender or the whisk attachment on the same tool. Also makes whipped coffee ez as pie
Be gentle with the blender. It can impart heat to the drink, you don't wanna drink partly cooked scrambled eggs and gin.
@@garethkalum8297 always do it with ice.
@@AndyRock1that might be a better idea. It's less strong generally, it takes less space, and because of what someone else said on this thread, you should probably add ice in a blender. You might not need too with an emulsifier, so you can dry shake. You're probably more likely to have a standard blender in your house, but if you don't have either, the emulsifier is cheaper. They're like 10 bucks, and they don't last all that long but you can buy a few at a time. OR just use a Mason jar or water bottle and use it like you'd normally use a shaker. That might be the best and cheapest alterative. All of these are good.

Can you imagine a bartender finishing this drink then the customer says "yuck I don't really like it"
The custy is either leaving or being forcefully ejected with a big kick in the ass😂

That's wholesome, bless that bartender
Imagine asking for one of these. Then half way through telling the bar tender to stop. 😂
Trying to change your order after they’ve already started making the drink is literally one of the worst things you could do in a bar. What are they just supposed to chuck all that stock down the drain?

The one time I went to a bar and intended to drink these, I pre-emptively told the barkeep about it and pre-tipped him $20 as a "bartender's good disposition fee" and then still a normal tip at the end, and he seemed happy enough to make 5 of them over a couple hours
I had a friend order this at a bar once I watched the bartender dead face say, "No." And then refuse to serve him for the rest of the night.

Just pay a liveable wage. No tip needed.
@@imperialspy3457 I was a server in college, and yeah you get assholes from time to time. I did really well with tips though, it wasn’t uncommon to get a table that would tip half a day’s wage.
Americans like service with an *extra* smile and attention; tips incentivize servers to fulfill that. Service in countries without a tipping culture has a noticeable difference because they’re getting paid the same either way.

A good bartender shakes this for a minimum of 10 minutes. This is a drink you tip 100% on.
That’s completely unnecessary. It’s like people thinking a good Old Fashioned takes ages to make. It’s pure myth making & theatre. Setting a specific “time” for shaking a drink is nonsense anyway, it completely depends on the velocity you shake it, how much ice is in the shaker, what kind of ice is in the shaker, how much liquid is in it etc.
