    I'm very impressed with all of your devices, but this one is easily my favorite due to the ease of producing those nasty rhythmic sounds.
    Your website said a rework was planned for the future. Can you give any more info on that? I'd really like to get my hands on one of these.

      Chance Meeting - although I have no timeline set for it (I never really do) I do intend to remake it. Enhanced oscillator section and no midi. Midi was a just because I can addition. But I know it rarely gets used. So a vastly improved oscillator with the fx chain makes more sense. I have several projects in the making right now but once things are cleared and I decide to on a whim then a new version will happen. It will be in the same case as the desk top shard and up coming desk top underwurlde.

      @@X1L3 Okay, well I'll definitely keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, I'd like to get a delay pedal that can create that infinite looping delay that you show in the video. Is there one you can recommend?

      Machining up some more cases right now. There'll be some more up for sale in the next few months. I'm making a run of desktop shards to go with them so they'll both get released together

      Charles Heine - although I won't be making any more of these. I do plan to release a 'V2' this year. Better oscillator section but dropping the midi (since it was rarely used). Basically a new build that takes all that was loved about this one and I proved upon :)

    Never heard of Vevoyah. Looks cool though. Makes me want to play a little Power Electronics. Does anyone know the name of the equipmemt used in the genre?

    • @X1L3
      @X1L3  2 роки тому +2

      I don't think there's any specific name for the gear, but the sorts of things the likes of me, Trogotronic, JTM and Gen Thalz make are all either inspired by or made for it. For me it was just a kind of natural influence and progression into the extremes of the noise and abstract stuff from things like downward spiral era nin when i got into circuit bending and later on making stuff from scratch. It's a very DIY genre and you can use loads of stuff to do it - any synth, a hand full of fx pedals, field recordings etc etc. For me personally i find the genre to be a good compliment to less extreme things i might want to put together, but where i want a visceral aspect in there. Check out the stuff Lee of navicon torture technologies/theologian does for a take on it that covers a pretty wide spectrum in terms of the sound and things used to make it.

      I'm working on a new one called steel sky at the moment. It's almost ready for release, just needs a few tweaks to get it how i want it. Keep an eye on the channel/shop front and they'll appear in the very near future. Cheers :)

    • @X1L3

      I won't be making any mpre of thsee. But i have had a project called 'cauldronborn' on ice for some time. Cauldronborn is basically a V2 of this. Better oscillator section, capacitive touch keyboard, twin delay, looping capability, noise touch plate and a better resonant filter. No midi though. I always felt that i addedmidi just because i could at the time. The machine was more at home as a hands on sound design piece than a sequenced instrument.

      I haven't made any for ages. Dropped them due to being too time consuming to make. I did make 40 cases and revised the circuits for an easier and quicker build though. You're one of quite a few people who've asked about these lately. So although i'm in the middle of a couple of new projects right now it looks like there might just be one last run of them to come.

      Keep an eye on the channel uploads. I've got something better on the way. Same shell, same style, superior implementation. The midi is dropped but the spectrum of abstract and powerelectronix potential is amplified a hundred fold :)
